Chapter 150: Chapter 150: The Mysterious Sky Record

Chapter 150: The Mysterious Sky Record

The journey to Spirit City for the final competition began, with everyone traveling by carriage.

Unexpectedly, the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy had arranged an extensive caravan for Team One and Team Two. Aside from the eight members of Yang Potian's team, teachers Anya and Li Xiang, who was also the assistant team leader, accompanied them.

Additionally, Yang Potian's grandfather Yang Wudi, his grandfather Niu Gao, Poison Douluo Dugu Bo, and his uncle Niu Mang joined the journey, bringing a significant portion of both families. To secure their territories, Yang Potian's mother, Niu Jinfeng, returned to the Ox Clan, under the guise of visiting family, while his second granduncle, Yang Wushuang, quietly returned to defend the Po Clan.

His father, Yang Zhentian, also shadowed the caravan, providing hidden protection. With so many young talents heading to Spirit City, they couldn't risk any potential losses.

A unique addition to the convoy was Shi Nian, the former leader of Canghui Academy. After mysteriously disappearing during the tournament, Shi Nian had reappeared and resigned from his post, ultimately joining the Po Clan as an elder. Rumors circulated that Shi Nian had attempted to ambush a member of the Po Clan, only to be captured and consequently forced into their ranks—a fate not unusual for many powerful clans who often conscripted talented enemies as outer sect elders.

And so, the caravan set off for Spirit City, carrying the anticipation of the final competition.

In one of the carriages sat Shi Nian, Yang Potian, and Yang Wudi. Yang Potian turned to Shi Nian, "Elder Shi Nian, given the proximity between our carriages and Tang San's, is it possible for you to pull Tang San and me into a shared dream, with me in control of the dreamscape?"

Shi Nian hesitated before replying, "Young Lord, your spiritual power is incredibly strong, so this may prove challenging."

Yang Potian nodded calmly. "During the process, I will leave my mind open and not resist your spirit, but take extra care—Tang San's spiritual power is at the level of a high-ranking Soul King, possibly even reaching the Soul Emperor level. Avoid any hostile actions toward him; allow the dream to feel natural to avoid detection."

Shi Nian nodded seriously, agreeing. With the recent effects of the ten-thousand-year Illusory Spirit Flower he'd consumed, Shi Nian's spiritual power had surged to levels comparable to a Soul Douluo's.

Yang Wudi looked concerned. "Potian, do you really need to take such a risk? If anyone discovers this, it could spell trouble."

Yang Potian shook his head. "Tang San possesses something crucial to the rise of the Po Clan. We must take the risk."

"Moreover," he added, "Tang San has been meditating among his teammates every night, with Flender and Liu Erlong situated at some distance. This may be our only chance; once we reach Spirit City, our window of opportunity will vanish."

Yang Wudi gave a serious nod. "I'll be nearby. If any powerful soul masters approach, I'll signal Elder Shi Nian immediately."

The following nights, as Tang San slipped into his deep meditation, he would find himself entering strange, vivid dreams. The dreams seemed surreal yet oddly familiar, as if he were back in his previous life at Tang Sect, sneaking into the inner hall to learn the Tang Sect's secret techniques.

Night after night, the dream continued, with Tang San painstakingly studying and practicing the Tang Sect techniques he once knew. Yet, upon waking, he noticed nothing out of the ordinary; everything he'd dreamed was a closely guarded secret he'd told no one, not even Xiao Wu.

Throughout these dreams, Yang Potian quietly observed Tang San's progress from a distance, gathering each technique. He didn't disturb the dream; he only noted the techniques Tang San practiced, occasionally giving subtle nudges to guide him.

After seven nights, Tang San's dreams ceased, and life returned to normal as if nothing had happened.

Now, Yang Potian had assembled an entire record based on his observations in Tang San's dreams. Chief among these secrets was the Mysterious Sky Record—a Tang Sect martial arts manual of immense value, containing six disciplines: the Mysterious Heaven Skill (an internal cultivation method), the Mysterious Jade Hands (hand training technique), Purple Demon Eye (eye training technique), Controlling Crane Catching Dragon (grappling technique), Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track (movement technique), and the Hundred Hidden Weapons Techniques (for using hidden weapons).

Additionally, he had documented the Clear Sky Sect's secret technique: the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method.

As Yang Potian finished recording these secrets, he couldn't help but feel a deep admiration for Tang San's skills. These techniques from Tang Sect indeed form the very foundation of his future strength; they are truly remarkable.

Beside him, Shi Nian and Yang Wudi looked at the documents in astonishment, swallowing nervously. Only now did Yang Wudi fully understand why Yang Potian had gone to such lengths to bring Shi Nian into the Po Clan. The value of these techniques was incalculable.

Handing over the Mysterious Sky Record to Yang Wudi, Yang Potian said, "Grandfather, for now, keep this record a secret. You can begin cultivating the Mysterious Heaven Skill, but the other techniques must remain concealed. We'll make further plans when the time is right."

Then, turning to Shi Nian, he added, "Elder Shi Nian, what happened today is of grave importance. These are the Clear Sky Sect's secret techniques. If word of this ever gets out, the Clear Sky Sect would hunt you relentlessly. Do not make a poor choice."

Shi Nian hurriedly pledged, "You can rest assured, Young Lord. I swear on my martial soul that no one will ever hear a word of this. Should I betray this trust, may my martial soul shatter, and I die in agony."

Shi Nian was no fool; he knew that with a secret of this magnitude, even the slightest slip-up could result in his immediate execution.

Satisfied, Yang Potian smiled. "You have nothing to worry about, Elder Shi Nian. Now that you're an elder of the Po Clan, the clan will support you, ensuring your future is prosperous and respected. For now, we must stay low-key, but in the future, your efforts will be rewarded handsomely."

Elder Shi Nian responded quickly, "Young Clan Leader, rest assured. I will devote myself wholeheartedly to the Po Clan and consider it my true home."

Hearing this, both Yang Potian and Yang Wudi nodded in satisfaction. Shi Nian had proven to be both capable and perceptive, aligning well with their plans.

Unable to contain his curiosity, Yang Wudi spoke up, "Potian, as an outer elder of the Clear Sky Sect, I've never heard of these profound techniques. When do you think we'll be able to let the clan's core disciples start practicing them?"

Yang Potian replied calmly, "The Clear Sky Sect has existed for countless years, and Tang Chen was a rare genius, so it's only natural for them to have kept a few secrets hidden."

"As for these techniques, I don't intend for our Po Clan to be the first to expose them. We'll wait for others to adopt them before we quietly train our disciples."

Yang Wudi still seemed hesitant. "But if everyone eventually learns these techniques, won't we lose any advantage we've gained?"

Yang Potian shook his head. "Among all the techniques, Mysterious Heaven Skill is the foundation. As long as we don't share that, others will only scratch the surface of the teachings without ever mastering them. Retaining that technique will secure our edge. Once the Soul Master Tournament ends, we'll devise the next steps."

This assurance finally eased Yang Wudi's concerns.

Yang Potian then turned to Shi Nian. "Elder Shi Nian, do you think Tang San noticed anything unusual?"

Shi Nian answered seriously, "Young Clan Leader, you needn't worry. Although I led Tang San into a dream, I took care not to harm him or act out of line. If he noticed anything, he'd just think it was an ordinary dream."

Yang Potian nodded approvingly. Now the challenge was to find a way to train in these techniques openly without attracting unwanted attention.

After twenty days of travel, the group finally arrived at Spirit City. Surprisingly, no ambushes occurred, likely deterred by the presence of Yang Wudi and Niu Gao, both Titled Douluo. Perhaps the two Douluo had forced their adversaries to think twice.

Yu Xiaogang had also departed ahead of the main group, making his way alone to Spirit City.

In the Papal Hall at Spirit City, Yu Xiaogang's reunion with Bibi Dong was a stark reminder of how much their lives had diverged. As the Pope and a Titled Douluo, her power and appearance remained vibrant and youthful, while Yu Xiaogang, a weathered Grandmaster, bore the toll of years of frustration.

Though once a traitor to Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong was ambitious and sharp. Despite her lingering emotions, she hadn't expected Yu Xiaogang to make the long journey to Spirit Hall to seek one thing: the secret to training twin spirits.

It was clear to Bibi Dong, even if only minimally shrewd, that the Clear Sky Sect was a threat, and with Tang San's potential, the risks were undeniable. There was no way she would willingly hand over a method that could enhance Tang San's power. The generations-old feud between the Clear Sky Sect and Spirit Hall, coupled with Tang San's own family history, made Yu Xiaogang's promises of loyalty implausible at best.

Ultimately, their relationship ended bitterly, with Bibi Dong furiously throwing Yu Xiaogang out of the Papal Hall.

With the finals starting the next day, Yang Potian would soon step into the spotlight.
