With this thought, he suddenly recalled something.

In the Pokémon world, due to Rayquaza's presence, outer space is considered its territory.

It would attack any object that entered the atmosphere, making it difficult for the Pokémon world to develop aerospace technology.

"It's quite similar to Douluo Continent—both are influenced by divine intervention. However, on Douluo Continent, the entire planet is enveloped by a protective barrier that collects faith power, essentially turning the world into a farm for the gods. This is different from Rayquaza's behavior."

"The advantage is that Douluo Star is kept safe. The downside is that development is restricted, forcing people to become soul masters. The best outcome is to ascend as a god and join the ranks of the exploiters."

Gu La suspected that the reason why soul tools had been lost in Douluo Continent might be because previous soul engineers stopped researching weapons and instead focused on developing spacecraft, which touched upon forbidden knowledge, leading to their destruction by the gods.

Otherwise, it would be hard to explain why no legacy of soul tools remained.

Gu La shook his head. "I'm thinking too far ahead. I don't have grand ambitions to save the world. Besides, the divine realm has indeed protected Douluo Star, so becoming a god isn't necessarily a bad thing."

First things first—I need to take care of myself.

Back at Nuoding Academy, Gu La learned from Wang Sheng that Tang San had finished eating at the cafeteria and left alone, likely to visit Yu Xiaogang.

As usual, Gu La went to the open garden to train.

The only difference was that his shadow had changed from Tang San to Xiao Wu.

"Aren't you supposed to be shopping? Why are you following me?"

Gu La asked, summoning his martial soul without paying attention to anyone else.

Activating gravity control, his muscles and bones instinctively resisted the gravitational pull, maintaining his normal movements.

With the system supporting him, Gu La wasn't worried about overtraining or the effects of gravity hindering his development. With healing potions and all-purpose medicine, he didn't fear leaving hidden injuries from training either.

Having suffered in his past life from not studying hard enough, Gu La was determined to endure hardships and work hard in this life, unwilling to waste time on leisure.

Xiao Wu grinned slyly. Upon seeing Gu La's Groudon martial soul and purple soul ring, her eyes widened in surprise. Standing on tiptoe, she turned her hands behind her back and carefully examined Gu La.

"Wang Sheng and the others are so boring. You're much more interesting. Ah, what kind of spirit beast is your martial soul, Gu La? I don't recognize it."

Xiao Wu's eyes sparkled. She seemed genuinely curious about Gu La's actions and pretended to mimic his movements alongside him.

Huffing and puffing, she looked quite convincing.

While maintaining his routine, Gu La carefully channeled soul power to nourish his blood and qi, stealing a sidelong glance at her.

"If you're not going to tell the truth, then fine."

After saying this, he continued practicing the essentials of combat.

At Level 13 soul power, Gu La could manipulate thirteen times Earth's gravity.

Ordinary people, after training, could withstand eight times gravity for short periods. At thirteen times gravity, staying conscious was possible but came with the risk of insufficient blood flow.

Gu La, with his earth-based recovery abilities and extraordinary constitution, possessed an exceptionally powerful heart that could maintain sufficient blood supply even under thirteen times gravity, allowing him to continue training.

Xiao Wu felt a bit guilty after Gu La's comment. She hadn't given up her thievery mindset and still craved the delicious aroma wafting from Gu La.

Having recently transformed into human form, Xiao Wu retained her spirit beast eating habits. The perfectly crafted energy cubes were highly attractive to Pokémon and equally irresistible to her.

She flashed a pleading smile, looking somewhat pitiful and easily arousing sympathy from certain groups.

"Just… do you still have some of what you ate at noon? I can trade something for it."

As she spoke, Xiao Wu recalled the scent she had smelled and secretly swallowed her saliva.

It was a fragrance even more enticing than crystal carrots. Xiao Wu felt she would never forget it for the rest of her life.

Upon hearing this, Gu La's heart stirred. He casually lounged on the grass and said, "Answer a few questions for me, and I'll give you an energy cube to eat."

"Energy cube? What a strange name."

Xiao Wu muttered softly, then brightly smiled and confidently patted her chest.

"You ask, and I'll definitely tell you everything."

Seeing Xiao Wu take the bait, Gu La voiced his question:

"What does it feel like to sense psychic power?"

"This is easy, just…"

Xiao Wu began to answer but quickly realized something was amiss.

Even a simple mind had its guard up. Suspiciously, she asked, "Why are you asking this? How do you know I know the answer?"

Gu La's expression remained calm, unperturbed by Xiao Wu's wariness and suspicion.

"Someone with innate full soul power who doesn't even understand the concept of coins—you must be a runaway young miss from some influential family. Your elders must have taught you cultivation techniques. Just tell me, and I'll give you an energy cube."

This line might fool an inexperienced Xiao Wu, but another transformed spirit beast might not believe it.

However, Xiao Wu's mother, along with Da Ming and Er Ming, had sheltered her so well that she immediately believed him.

"Oh, you guessed it! Ha ha, you're really smart."

Xiao Wu tried to laugh it off, but her attention was soon drawn back to the energy cubes. Like spilling beans, she blurted out the details she knew to Gu La.

"Ah, I see. An extension of the soul, an elevation of thought."

Gu La summarized.

With the enhanced Pallet Town Physique, he was far less reckless than Ash and had a natural talent for meditation.

Under Xiao Wu's guidance, after just one day, he grasped the essence of psychic power and became a psychic.

Without wind stirring, Gu La unleashed his latent psychic potential. His psychic energy condensed into blue mental force, interfering with reality. It was as if a strong wind swept through, flattening all the Blue Silver Grass.

Under the dual pressure of gravity and psychic force, a mysterious power within Gu La seemed to stir.

But ultimately, it was the rarer Aura Power, which was harder to awaken, and it quickly returned to silence, hiding within his cells and muscles.

Gu La took a deep breath, slowly retracted his psychic power, and looked at Xiao Wu:

"Thank you for your guidance. Here, the energy cube you wanted."

He took out the remaining energy cubes, placed them in a pouch, and handed them all to Xiao Wu.

Compared to the guidance on psychic power offered by a ten-thousand-year spirit beast, these energy cubes were insignificant.

"Ah? Oh."

Xiao Wu's small cherry-like mouth slightly opened, still in shock and not fully recovered.

What just happened?

How did Gu La suddenly awaken psychic power just by her answering a few questions?

Isn't that power exclusive to ten-thousand-year spirit beasts and human Soul Sages?

Could it be…

"Gu La, does your martial soul possess a hidden psychic attribute?"

Xiao Wu grew even more curious about Gu La, forgetting even the energy cubes…

No, after asking the question, she stuffed an energy cube into her mouth, her cheeks bulging as her big eyes stared intently at Gu La.

Gu La had become a psychic in just one day, completing half of his quest. Considering the short training time, he was in an excellent mood and showed more patience toward Xiao Wu.

"You could think of it that way. It's because of my Groudon martial soul that I have the foundation to master psychic power, but the martial soul itself doesn't possess a psychic attribute."

Groudon was certainly not a psychic-type Pokémon, but as a Legendary, it naturally possessed some psychic abilities.

Moreover, Gu La was also a soul master. As Xiao Wu had mentioned, reaching the Soul Sage stage automatically granted mastery of psychic powers, so learning such abilities was only natural.
