Douluo: I’m Totally a Support Type… Probably

Chapter 38: The clown

"We need to go back now."

Xiao Wu nodded immediately.

But Gu Yuena felt a pang of sadness and looked at him, her voice laced with a slight fear.

"Will you come back?"

"I will. And next time we meet, I'll give you a gift," Wu Lan said with a smile.

Hearing that, she felt warmth and curiosity, but didn't ask further.

Gu Yuena thought about his safety.

She called Di Tian and gave him an order.

Soon, Bi Ji and Zi Ji arrived, a beautiful woman with long green hair, and another with long violet hair. Both were graceful, powerful, and elegant.

They greeted Gu Yuena and Wu Lan respectfully.

"You two," Gu Yuena commanded, "go and protect him well."

"Yes, Master," both replied without hesitation.

She silently took out a fist-sized silver scale and offered it to him.

"Take this scale," she said. "It can store anything, objects, living beings, even souls. And it allows you to communicate with me at any time."

As he examined the scale, Wu Lan thought inwardly.

He could feel the concern in her actions.

She had solved his major problems.

Protection: with Bi Ji being a Limit Douluo and Zi Ji a Super Douluo, his safety was guaranteed. He had always feared being attacked by Title Douluo or stronger because of his rare martial spirit, but now… he could act confidently without worrying about the consequences.

Storage: the scale could store the immortal herbs without drawing any attention.

She had truly resolved his biggest concerns.

Wu Lan silently vowed he would repay her.

"Thank you, Gu Yuena," he said sincerely.

Seeing Wu Lan pleased with her gifts, she smiled gently and nodded.

After spending a little more time together, they departed.

Watching him leave, she felt more lonely than before but now, she was determined to heal quickly.

On the journey, Xiao Wu and Orchid began explaining the human world to Bi Ji and Zi Ji, who listened curiously. During their time together in the forest, they had already become somewhat familiar with each other, so their conversation flowed easily.

They laughed and talked cheerfully.

Whenever they passed through a town, Bi Ji and Zi Ji looked around with wide-eyed curiosity. Seeing them like this, Wu Lan decided to take the journey slowly and enjoy the moments.

And so, what could've taken a few hours instead took two full days before they finally reached Soto City.

Eventually, they arrived at Shrek Academy.

All the teachers and students were gathered in the playground.

Wu Lan instructed Bi Ji and Zi Ji to stay hidden, to avoid drawing unnecessary attention.

After that, he and Xiao Wu walked over toward the crowd.

Wu Lan immediately spotted a familiar face.

Yu Xiaogang.

The so-called genius teacher. The scumbag.

He stood with his hands behind his back, chin lifted as if observing the sky, pretending to look like an expert.

"Brother, that trash is here," Xiao Wu said, glaring at Yu Xiaogang. She still remembered how he had tricked her and her Brother.

"Yeah, let's go see what's going on." Wu Lan said, then slowly walked forward.

Zhuqing, standing among the students, suddenly felt something and turned around. When she saw Wu Lan approaching, her face lit up instantly. She walked toward him, a soft smile on her face.

"Wu Lan, you came back."

Hearing this, everyone turned their heads.

Xiao Wu narrowed her eyes at Zhuqing's actions.

Tang San, spotting Xiao Wu, rushed forward and leapt toward her without hesitation.

But Xiao Wu's expression darkened. She instantly dodged and ran toward Wu Lan, shouting angrily,

"Tang San! What are you doing?!"

Tang San's heroic leap ended with his face slamming into the ground. Furious, he turned his gaze toward Wu Lan.

During Xiao Wu's absence, Tang San's feelings for her had only grown stronger. He couldn't imagine life without her. Seeing her so close to Wu Lan filled him with burning hatred.

"I was worried about you," Tang San said, not even bothering to brush off the dirt from his face.

"Brother was with me. What could possibly go wrong?" Xiao Wu replied proudly, full of confidence in Wu Lan.

Hearing this, Tang San's face darkened. His hatred for Wu Lan reached another level.

Wu Lan, sensing the emotions Tang San was emitting, was speechless.

This bastard… still trying to steal my rabbit. And even though I healed him, healed his father, and recently saved him from 'death' in the Star Dou Forest…

If it were anyone else, they'd probably kill Tang San out of spite. But I am a good brother. I'll take 'good care' of him. And I only charge a very tiny payment for my services. So… I'll be magnanimous and forgive his insolence.

For now.

Just then, Yu Xiaogang stepped forward, seeing his student make a fool of himself.

He looked at Wu Lan and said coldly,

"Wu Lan is just a support-type soul master with no combat power. How can he compare to Tang San, who, under my guidance defeated a Soul King and a Man-Faced Demon Spider with ease?"

While speaking, he emphasized that because of him, Tang San had become a genius.

Hearing this, Wu Lan subtly signaled Bi Ji and Zi Ji to stop both were seconds away from killing the man for insulting their master.

Seeing his signal, they halted, though their fists remained tightly clenched.

Meanwhile, Xiao Wu released her full cultivation as a Soul Ancestor, two yellow, one purple, and one black soul ring.

"How dare you!" she said, her voice filled with fury.

The moment they saw the black soul ring, everyone froze in disbelief.

Wu Lan stood proudly, observing how much stronger she had become, far beyond her strength in the original timeline.

He didn't stop her from revealing the black soul ring. With Bi Ji and Zi Ji by their side, they didn't have to fear anything now.

Everyone could feel the pressure radiating from that black soul ring.

While the teachers, due to their higher cultivation, remained unaffected…

Mubai, Oscar, Fatty, Rongrong, Zhuqing, and even Tang San broke into a cold sweat from the immense pressure.

But Wu Lan was focused on one particular clown

Yu Xiaogang.

The moment the pressure hit, Yu Xiaogang dropped to his knees.

Staring at Xiao Wu's Black ring in utter disbelief, he muttered,

"Impossible… Impossible…"
