Buzz—

A warm current flowed through his body, making him feel lighter, his movements becoming even sharper.

After destroying eight people from Canghui Academy, Ye Feng didn't face any trouble from the city guards. This was just a small town, and they likely didn't care much. However, the next morning, as Ye Feng prepared to leave, the hotel manager hesitated, his expression uneasy, as if he wanted to say something but held back.

Ye Feng understood immediately. Canghui Academy had always bullied the weak and feared the strong. Once their teachers and students returned to the academy and couldn't find Ye Feng, they might vent their frustration on the hotel manager.

Before leaving, Ye Feng walked to a large stone near the hotel. Using his finger as a pen, he carved a few bold words into the rock:

"The Attacker, Ye Feng."

Let them come looking for him directly.

The sun rose from the east, its golden light piercing through the horizon. Led by Zhao Wuji, the Shrek Eight Devils ventured into the dense Star Forest.

As one of the three great gathering places for spirit beasts, the Star Forest was a dream destination for spirit masters. Each visit meant an opportunity for advancement.

But it was also a dangerous place. Besides wild spirit beasts, the outer forest was filled with spirit masters who specialized in hunting them. Some were there to help others obtain spirit rings, while others hunted spirit beasts for their meat, selling it at high prices to the nobles of the two great empires.

It was said that consuming the flesh of high-age spirit beasts, which had been nourished by spirit energy for years, could even extend one's lifespan. For the rich and powerful, it was the ultimate tonic.

Yet, the greatest danger in this forest wasn't just the spirit beasts. Sometimes, the deadliest threats came from fellow humans.

"Once we enter, I won't interfere unless we encounter a thousand-year-old spirit beast. So be careful," Zhao Wuji declared.

This journey was meant as training for the Shrek Eight Devils while helping Oscar acquire his spirit ring.

Zhao Wuji also gave strict orders: "No one is to stray more than twenty meters from me. Oscar, Ning Rongrong, you stay close. This isn't a controlled forest—thousand-year or even ten-thousand-year spirit beasts could show up at any moment. Zhu Zhuqing, Xiao Wu, take the right flank. Dai Mubai, Tang San, cover the left. Ye Feng, you're the strongest, so you take the rear and watch our backs. Spirit beasts love attacking from behind, so stay sharp."

Everyone nodded and immediately got into position. If danger struck, they'd be ready to protect the auxiliary and food-based spirit masters first.

A refreshing fragrance filled the air as they moved deeper into the forest. Towering trees, each over fifty meters high, loomed above them.

Ye Feng activated his external spirit bone, Eye of Hell. His vision sharpened instantly, allowing him to see every movement in the thick foliage.

Meanwhile, Tang San walked ahead, feeling a sense of superiority from his Purple Demon Eyes. But when he turned back and saw Ye Feng's eerie black pupils glowing, he froze.

"His eyes…?"

Tang San was stunned. He had never expected Ye Feng to possess an ability similar to his own.

Could it be an external spirit bone? He thought to himself.

It made sense. Ye Feng's master was Chen Xin, the Guardian Douluo of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. A figure of that caliber could easily provide his disciple with such a rare treasure.

"Damn, he really got lucky with his master," Tang San muttered enviously.

Under Zhao Wuji's leadership, the group progressed smoothly.

Xiao Wu, as carefree as ever, bounced around, enjoying the scenery as if she had forgotten the dangers lurking in the forest.

Rustle—

Suddenly, the trees ahead shook violently.

"Something's coming."

Ye Feng and Tang San spoke at the same time. Their eyes met, both noticing the movement up ahead.

"Be ready," Zhao Wuji warned. "Oscar, Ning Rongrong, stay close."

Once they were beside him, Zhao Wuji gave another order:

"Zhu Zhuqing, climb a tree and scout the area."

Without hesitation, Zhu Zhuqing leaped onto a tree, her sharp eyes scanning the forest.

"See anything?"

"It looks like a flying snake," she reported.

"A flying snake?" Zhao Wuji's expression turned serious. "Describe its tail."

"It's fan-shaped, with a bright red fleshy crown on top. It's flying low, about three or four meters off the ground."

Zhao Wuji's eyes lit up. "A Crested Cobra! Oscar, you lucky bastard!"

Oscar's face lit up with excitement, but before he could celebrate, Zhao Wuji added, "We need to confirm its age first."

"Zhuqing, how long is it? What color are its wings?" Tang San asked.

"Six to eight meters long. Wings are light red."

Tang San nodded. "That puts it between 800 to 1,300 years old, perfect for Oscar's third spirit ring. Its attributes match too. These snakes are rare, but we're in luck."

"Seriously?" Oscar's eyes gleamed with excitement.

"The Phoenix-Tailed Crested Cobra only has one real attack—it wraps around its target. But it's insanely fast. That fleshy crown stores nutrients that let it boost its speed instantly to escape predators. Tough to catch. But…" Tang San smirked. "Snakes fear birds. Fatty's martial spirit is a Phoenix. He can suppress it. Our only worry is making sure it doesn't get away."

Tang San was clearly feeling smug. Even though his spirit power was weaker than Ye Feng's, he prided himself on his deep understanding of spirit beasts.

But before he could continue, Ye Feng suddenly spoke.

"I wouldn't bother with it."

Tang San frowned. "Why?"

"The attributes and age match Oscar perfectly," he argued. "This is a rare chance."

Ye Feng smirked but didn't explain just yet.
