Douluo Dalu: Lucky Star

Chapter 310: [DD]: 310

Han Li and Qian Renxue did not directly reach Star Luo City through spatial abilities.

Instead, they traveled along the path of the advancing army and Bibi Dong's forces, spreading radiance along the way and ordering the Spirit Hall's soul master legions to halt their attack.

When the true Angelic Divine Light descends, all battles cease.

It wasn't that the light barrier couldn't be transmitted; rather, this approach allowed them to gather more faith power.

On this long-prepared stage, Qian Renxue was merely the product being showcased, while Han Li was the true operator—the mastermind and capitalist behind the scenes.

As for Bibi Dong, who was desperately yearning for ascension, she naturally played the role of the designated antagonist. Yet, she had at least initiated her path toward ascension.

The sole losers in this scenario were the nobles of the Star Luo Empire—those who existed in the form of feudal lords and military strongholds, along with their vassal soul master forces.

They had been the main resistance force against the Spirit Hall and suffered the greatest losses. After this battle, their elimination was inevitable, not for any other reason but simply because Han Li disliked them.

After ordering the cessation of battle in yet another city, Han Li and Qian Renxue turned simultaneously toward the direction of Star Luo City. A phenomenon resembling what had occurred above Heaven Dou City was taking shape—albeit weaker, but still astonishing.

The sky above Star Luo City was stained a purplish-red hue, emitting an aura of revulsion. Within the unfolding Rakshasa Domain, the force of ultimate evil and resentful slaughter loomed, striking fear into all who gazed upon it.

"Has she succeeded?"

Han Li smirked, tilting his head toward Qian Renxue beside him. "Well then, it's time for the hero to make her entrance."

Qian Renxue tightened her grip on the Holy Angel Sword in her hand without a word, but the aura surrounding her grew even more intense.

Behind her, flames erupted from her golden wings, resembling a blazing sun. With radiant golden light, she sped toward Star Luo City at full tilt.

Han Li chuckled and followed suit.

...

Above Star Luo City, despite it being high noon with the sun still hanging in the sky, the people beneath the purplish-red mist felt as though they had fallen into an icy abyss. A chilling cold penetrated their bodies.

Their minds screamed for them to flee, but their bodies, like rusted gears, were frozen in place, as if their joints had been locked. All they could do was tremble helplessly.

Within the purplish-red mist, Bibi Dong's face, stunningly beautiful, twisted repeatedly. The patterns of malevolent energy on her body, resembling spider webs and some other sinister creature, were illuminated by flashes of light, exuding a horrifying aura.

Judging by the nails piercing her palms, she was enduring immense pain. Yet she clung tightly to the Rakshasa Scythe, silent as if physical agony meant nothing to her.

Finally, the patterns across her body completed their final connections. An unknown sinister wind dispersed the purplish-red mist, revealing a divine armor on her, enveloped in an evil aura and surrounded by drifting purple energy.

From her back extended four colossal dark-purple scythes, while the dual scythes she had previously held transformed into a massive purple-black scythe adorned with countless demonic runes radiating a chilling brilliance.

"Rakshasa ascended, forever damned to hell."

A voice devoid of emotion reverberated across the void, followed by Bibi Dong's slightly deranged laughter.

"Hahaha, I've succeeded. I've done it!"

Though there was a trace of joy in her laugh, it wasn't prominent. Instead, her malice and madness were vividly amplified by her current appearance.

"Are you proud of yourself?"

A brilliant golden divine light pierced through the gloom as Qian Renxue, the true Angel God, descended over Star Luo City. The divine radiance she exuded immediately banished the oppressive darkness that had engulfed the city.

The cold, sinister feeling vanished, and warmth returned to the bodies of the city's people, who finally regained the ability to move.

Chaos erupted as the populace began fleeing en masse toward the city gates.

It was clear to even the simplest of minds that danger was imminent. After what they had just endured, the palace, once regarded as the safest place, had now become the most perilous.

"Leave the city in an orderly manner. I will protect you. If anyone causes trouble during the evacuation, I will personally kill them."

Han Li's voice echoed throughout the city, amplified by divine power. He appeared not far from Qian Renxue and casually tossed a corpse to the ground. In his other hand was a finely crafted pouch, from which a cascade of gold soul coins spilled to the ground.

But no one dared look back to retrieve them. The once-chaotic crowd suddenly became much more orderly.

The people recognized him as Han Li, the Holy Son of Spirit Hall. He was well-known; anyone who had studied the Mysterious Heaven Technique was familiar with his image, as it was included beside the cultivation route diagrams.

"Qian Renxue, shouldn't you be reigning as emperor in Heaven Dou? Why the rush to Star Luo to meet your demise?"

Bibi Dong's gaze swept over Qian Renxue, whose aura filled her with intense loathing. A flicker of complex emotion flashed in her eyes, but in the next moment, she reverted to her usual demeanor when addressing Qian Renxue.

Having ascended to Rakshasa, her mind was no longer clouded, and she had regained her rationality.

She knew Qian Renxue had become a god before her, but she hadn't expected her to arrive so quickly. Bibi Dong had yet to enact her revenge on the Qian clan—her primary target being Qian Daoliu.

In truth, even now, Bibi Dong had no idea how Qian Renxue intended to take revenge on her as her daughter.

"I'm here to stop you. The war can end now. Also, abdicate."

Qian Renxue's expression remained calm, showing no fluctuation, even as she noticed the emotions flickering in Bibi Dong's eyes.

When she was a child, every time she saw Bibi Dong, she would be scolded and dismissed in the same tone, just as it happened now. Then, she would hide away and cry in secret. But this time, she wasn't planning to back down.

"Heh, do you think that just because you've become a god, you can defy me?" Bibi Dong sneered. "And you dare tell me to abdicate? What position are you speaking from? Don't forget, this is what your Qian family owes me."

"Stealing someone else's foundation—you're far better at it than I am. By your logic, if I were to become the Pope, wouldn't the Spirit Hall have to take my surname, Han?"

Han Li appeared beside Qian Renxue, casting a glance at Bibi Dong. If not for his close friendship with Qian Renxue, he would likely have mocked her outright: "Your so-called legacy isn't worth that much."

Before Bibi Dong could finish her sentence, Han Li silently isolated the area, transporting everyone else outside the city without a sound. Now, only the three of them could hear this conversation.

With his capabilities, Han Li saw no reason to let Qian Renxue's family drama become a tale spread across the entire continent.

Bibi Dong didn't show much emotion in response to Han Li's ridicule, but the madness within her grew stronger.

"Where is Qian Daoliu? Since you're here, has that old fool gone into hiding?"

While Han Li was certainly on her list of targets, her desire for revenge was far stronger toward Qian Daoliu.

From her perception, Han Li lacked the divine aura and fluctuations of a godhood and divine core that she and Qian Renxue possessed. At best, his divine power was on par with Qian Daoliu's previous state—a fish on the chopping block, ready to be killed at any moment, posing no significant threat.

His talent might have been terrifying, but now that she had ascended to godhood, his future was meaningless.

"You want to kill my grandfather?" Qian Renxue's face remained indifferent, her expression betraying no emotions.

"Are you going to stop me? Or do you think I shouldn't kill him?"

Perhaps sensing the hidden killing intent in Qian Renxue, Bibi Dong's expression twisted, memories flooding her mind. Though she was no longer influenced by malevolence and emotion, this remained her greatest pain.

"Do you even deserve to?"

Qian Renxue glanced at her and retorted.

Bibi Dong froze for a moment before purplish-red energy began to spread around her, enveloping her in a murderous aura.

"What do you understand…?"

"Why wouldn't I understand? Wasn't everything caused by your own mistakes? You're alive today only because of me, because of the mercy of my grandfather."

Qian Renxue interrupted her, the golden light in her eyes growing colder.

She had given Bibi Dong a chance. By not attacking immediately, she sought to confirm her true intentions. While she trusted Han Li's judgment, she also wanted to verify it for herself.

And the results of this test were now painfully clear.

"Hahaha, as expected, your body carries the filthy blood of the Qian family. I've hated you since the day you were born. And now, it seems I was right—you're nothing but a cursed child."

Bibi Dong looked at Qian Renxue with intense disgust, her venomous words entirely unrestrained.

"You're right. My surname is Qian. But I don't see any issue with that. Your very existence disgusts me," Qian Renxue responded.

"Thanks to you, my dear mother, I can't distinguish between good and evil. Isn't that exactly what you wanted?"

Qian Renxue maintained her composed posture, her tone sharp and unrelenting as she spoke.

Han Li, standing off to the side, was stunned. This was the first time he had seen Qian Renxue engage in outright personal attacks—and even drag herself into it for good measure.

Even Bibi Dong seemed momentarily taken aback.

Throughout their relationship, Bibi Dong had never hidden her hostility toward Qian Renxue. Her cold demeanor and harsh words had always been her go-to responses when Qian Renxue tried to approach her as a child. Yet, this was the first time Qian Renxue had retaliated—and in the same manner.

"Having someone like you as my mother is the greatest misfortune of my life. I'd have been better off as an orphan. At least orphans don't have to endure baseless malice. Don't you think so, Bibi Dong?"

Qian Renxue addressed her directly by name, her tone utterly devoid of emotion. Although her words were full of ridicule, her voice carried no fluctuations.

For a moment, the scene fell into utter silence.

PS: Why a lot of soul land fans want Bibi Dong as one of the Heroine in every fanfic?
