Chapter 460: Chapter 459: The Undead Demiplane and Nana's Mother

Qianran didn't assign any additional tasks to Juzi and Keke, letting them decide their own training regimen.

The key to enhancing their physical potential lay in the medicinal herbs from the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Training was merely a way to keep them in peak condition for absorbing the medicinal effects.

Qianran believed that exhausting their bodies and depleting their soul power during training would maximize the absorption of the medicinal energy. The newly cultivated soul power after such depletion would also be significantly purer.

After a few more cycles of this, Juzi and Keke's artificially enhanced and unstable cultivation, caused by overreliance on medicinal aids, would likely stabilize at a proper soul master level. By that point, consuming the medicinal congee again would not only refine their soul power but also accelerate their cultivation progress.

However, Qianran had no intention of advancing Juzi and Keke's strength just yet.

While they were already unofficially "his," they hadn't formally become his women.

Truthfully, Qianran's primary focus was Nana. He had only invited Juzi and Keke along as an afterthought.

Nana was someone Qianran valued deeply.

Her steadfast loyalty and tenacious character made her an ideal confidante. Nana's devotion was genuine, stemming entirely from Qianran's charisma, unlike Huo Yun'er, whose obedience Qianran attributed partially to the system. With Nana, the sense of accomplishment was much more fulfilling.

"Time to check on the Undead Demiplane," Qianran decided after seeing the three women immerse themselves in training.

Despite only a few days having passed, Qianran immediately sensed a difference upon entering the demiplane. The unique necromantic energy in the air had grown much denser.

This change was due to a special mineral vein Qianran had placed deep underground—one of his system rewards.

The minerals emitted energy that permeated the realm, promoting the gradual evolution and strengthening of its inhabitants. More powerful undead could even directly absorb the minerals to enhance their abilities.

Unlike Huo Yuhao, Qianran had absolute control over this world.

In the original story, Huo Yuhao merely held the key to the realm's gate and could summon undead creatures to fight.

But for Qianran?

This undead world existed as part of his soul ring.

If this realm had gods, Qianran would be its absolute deity. All creatures within it were bound to obey him unconditionally.

Raising his hand, Qianran summoned a line of skeletal soldiers who marched to his side and saluted him.

These undead creatures lacked intelligence, but their instincts compelled them to submit.

"Hm, the intelligent undead here should be able to take charge," Qianran mused. "They can command the skeletal soldiers to build a city, starting from the core mineral vein and expanding outward. I want a proper undead citadel."

The thought sparked his imagination. Delegating the task was simple, as all creatures in this realm would obey his instructions without question.

"Master."

Qianran soon encountered the over 300 undead he had taken from the Holy Spirit Cult's altar. For safety, these undead usually moved in groups.

"You can talk?" Qianran was surprised. Among the undead here, their life levels weren't particularly high.

"Master, I was a soul master in life, so my soul was stronger. After coming here and absorbing the energy of this world, I've grown much more powerful," said a ghostly woman with the appearance of a beautiful matron.

"You must be Nana's mother," Qianran remarked, realizing the ghost's resemblance to Nana. The two shared at least a 70–80% similarity in appearance, including the uncommon height of 1.8 meters.

"Yes, Master. Is Nana doing well outside?" Nana's mother bowed respectfully, her face filled with concern. Her gratitude and reverence for Qianran were evident.

"Nana is doing very well. Don't worry. Next time I visit, I'll bring her with me," Qianran replied, his gaze lingering on the ghost. Though he quickly averted his eyes, feeling it inappropriate to stare—especially since Nana's father was among the undead group.

Besides, ghosts lacked physical bodies, so there wasn't much to look at.

"I want to establish a palace in this realm, and around it, build a citadel. I'd like you to oversee this project. Can you handle it?"

Nana's mother, given her past strength as a soul master, likely had considerable capabilities. Her Ghost Martial Soul was particularly advantageous in the undead realm. Qianran wouldn't mind nurturing her further if she proved capable.

"Of course, Master!" Nana's mother responded excitedly.

Since arriving in this realm, she had accepted her new existence. Free from the scheming of the human world and reunited with her loved ones, she felt content.

Now, gaining the recognition and trust of the realm's master was an incredible opportunity for her family's survival in this world.

Moreover, it might even improve Nana's life outside.

She understood clearly that her family's future rested entirely in Qianran's hands. Being valued by him was undoubtedly a blessing.

"I'll leave a mark on your soul. All low-level undead in this realm will follow your commands. Even stronger undead will sense the mark and refrain from harming you," Qianran explained, casting a gray-black sigil into her soul.

As the powerful energy merged with her, Nana's mother felt her strength rise noticeably.

Though the hierarchy of this realm's creatures was still undefined, her current power was undoubtedly among the upper echelons.

"I'll leave it to you. Next time I visit, I'll bring Nana to see you," Qianran said before departing to explore more of the demiplane. He briefly considered asking Qian Renxue or Gu Yue Na to help refine the realm further.

If they could perfect it, the result would be nothing short of spectacular.

Under his management, Qianran imagined himself commanding an entire army of powerful undead, akin to the undead overlord in Overlord. The thought thrilled him.

Back in the real world, Qianran returned to admire the fiery spectacle of the three women working out.

As he entered the gym, Juzi was performing weighted squats, holding dumbbells in both hands. The fabric of her tight workout leggings stretched and relaxed rhythmically with her movements, drawing Qianran's wide-eyed attention.

Though the exercises themselves were proper, they were undeniably... enticing.

Qianran suddenly understood why fitness live streams featuring attractive women had such massive followings. Watching this kind of workout in person was an entirely different experience.

Honestly? He loved it.
