Chapter 861: Cat Boss Took a Black Car

When the setting sun casts golden light upon the Saint Kray Temple, the entire world is bathed in peacefulness.

The monastery's walls, doors, windows, and towers glow faintly red in the evening light.

After Lanci and Sigrid chatted with Violet for a long time, they left the big gray cat in Violet's ward, and then left the Elsayia Holy Sanctuary Healing Center's great garden, heading towards the location Violet suggested, where the Forgotten Star might be.

"The meaning of the Forgotten Star, as I understand from the ancient Cyrus writing, is to experience again without regrets, let go of the past, and walk towards the future. But for those who can't let go, using the Forgotten Star may only make them more persistent, while for those who have already let go, whether they use it or not might be irrelevant."

Lanci and Sigrid bypassed the eastern corridor of the monastery and descended the stairs, suddenly the view opened wide before them.

He and Sigrid walked, chatting, towards the eastern side of the monastery.

Although the possible buried location of the Forgotten Star was deduced by Violet based on Hesintos's exploration experience long ago in the Saint Kray Temple, they believed Violet's guess wouldn't be far off, after all, Violet herself is the principal and High Priest of the Saint Kray Temple, having known the great monastery better than anyone since childhood.

An endless lake quietly lies embraced by ancient architecture.

"This seems to be the monastery's eternal snow lake."

Lanci has been at the monastery for quite a long time, only passed by here from afar, yet hadn't truly come to the lakeside to see.

It originates from the glacier meltwater of ancient times, never frozen by the cold winter wind.

The lake water is clear as a mirror, reflecting the twilight hues of the sky, from the near-shore golden to the deep turquoise in the distance, shaped like a translucent turquoise.

"Really beautiful, much more magnificent than the lake at your Protoss Royal Magic Academy."

Sigrid and Lanci walked along the wide path by the lake.

The south bank of the lake is an open space, where plant-covered ground glows softly under the setting sun.

A few towering spruce trees stand on the lake shore, birds occasionally perch on their branches, and further ahead, endless natural stone tablets stand.

"Violet guessed the Forgotten Star lies at the bottom of this lake, because on that day she saw Hesintos leave, his hair was all wet, as if he had been underwater, and the only place deep enough in the monastery for Hesintos to dive personally is probably this lake."

Lanci and Sigrid stood beside a giant stone at the shore, gazing at the tranquil lake.

Even they couldn't easily probe how deep this magic-laden lake actually is.

"Diving recklessly to fish out the star is quite dangerous; on one hand, magic will be disturbed, and if accidentally touching the Forgotten Star underwater, one might fall into a phantasmagoria and then drown."

Sigrid supported her chin and analyzed,

"However, no worries, your Mr. Bishop has a solution."

She snapped her fingers lightly, silver brilliance bloomed on the lawn, followed by the appearance of a silver doll before them.

The doll streamed with strange silvery shimmer, as if draped in a veil woven from starlight.

"Hey, this is the Silver Glow Doll that was left by my side to protect me."

Lanci recognized this magic doll.

Though this humanoid magic doll composed entirely of silver glow had no facial features, it exuded a powerful aura identical to Sigrid's body stature.

Previously when they encountered Asksan in Bandela City at the Protoss Empire's northern border, Sigrid went to battle Asksan and left such a summon beside Lanci to protect him.

[Mind Power Doll]

[Category: Call Card]

[Grade: Pink Holy]

[Attribute: Psychic Power/Link]

[Rank: 8]

[Effect: Acquiring 80% basic attributes of the body.]

[Note: To control this doll well requires skill, talent, hard work, and sweat.]

Having not seen it for a long time, though Lanci previously couldn't identify its attributes, he now finally saw it clearly.

Logically, this doll is quite useless among eighth-level sacred ones because the summoned doll cannot replicate the body's spells and martial skills; like Lord Skeleton's avatar may replicate very low attributes but can possess all the body's spells.

But for Sigrid, this doll is instead the most suitable summon.

The only drawback is the Mana consumption of the Call Card itself is the highest among the spell card, equipment card, and call card types, and once the summon is out, the consumption continues; under high pressure, the rather limited Mana Sigrid possesses might be more efficiently used for empowering and healing spells for herself than for summoning a doll avatar.

The Silver Glow Doll stood firmly in front of Sigrid and Lanci, slightly bowed to greet.

"Help me look underwater for some deep-colored meteoric iron, at night it will glow and exhibit illusion attribute magic fluctuations, remember not to disturb the lake's ecological environment, make minimum movement."

Sigrid instructed.

"Yes, Mr. Bishop."

The Silver Glow Doll's voice was mechanical and ethereal, yet sonorous and powerful, and walked towards the center of the lake, disappearing underwater in an instant.

Ripples spread, and the water surface soon returned to calmness as if nothing ever happened.

Silent and still.

"Are we just gonna wait next? If only my Great Love Poet were this obedient."

Lanci and Sigrid exchanged glances.

"Indeed, let's go sit on that bench over there."

Sigrid pointed to the stone bench behind them,
