Chapter 860: Lanci and Sigrid's Monastery Date_4
Lanci thought of the genius craftsmen from the Brielda Opera House immediately.
Having seen the opera house built by Abigail, the Mafia's underground barrier, and the reliable siege camp when in Blood Moon City, Lanci was convinced that Abigail was a born engineer for grand projects.
But if Abigail were only to study Magical Engineering, she would get very bored. Having her build structures, unless the Dimensional Branch was extremely short of money, would likely not interest her.
"If it's about designing temples, Abigail might agree, as it's related to art and less so to Magical Engineering,"
Sigrid commented from the side.
"Then I'll try asking Miss Abigail, though I'm not sure if she's skilled in temple design,"
Violet suddenly recalled that the Silvermoon Reform Association had such a talented Dimensional Saintess.
"Did you know? I actually saw the Temple of the Moon Goddess at the Wolf Clan Holy Land thousands of years ago!"
Sigrid grabbed Violet, suddenly excited as she remembered something.
In her dreams, she had faint impressions of Siegler from the Blood Moon Bad World Wolf Clan Holy Land, and later saw some records of the Wolf Clan Temple of the Moon Goddess in books during her journey through the Shadow World.
"Really? What was it like?"
Violet sat up slightly with a cat in her arms, asking Sigrid.
"Uh, how to describe it, the temple that was destroyed thousands of years ago was really beautiful."
Sigrid frowned, feeling at a loss for words to vividly convey it to Violet.
She tried to gesture, but the more she talked, the more confused Violet became.
Because she couldn't even clearly describe the map of the Holy Land.
"..."
Lanci silently went to pick up the note paper and pen on the bedside cabinet.
He sat on the sofa in the room and started sketching the image of the Temple of the Moon Goddess he had seen in books from the Blood Moon Bad World Era.
After a while, just as Sigrid could only describe some of the most characteristic scenes of the Wolf Clan Holy Land, Lanci handed her a simple sketch.
Sigrid's eyes lit up instantly, hugging Lanci tightly for a moment, then showing the sketch to Violet.
"Professor Landry, you know how to draw?"
Violet was surprised at how quickly Professor Landry produced a sketch.
At just a glance, she was captivated by the drawing in Sigrid's hands.
This draft had no extra strokes, each corner seemingly holding a story waiting to be explored, yet it appeared as if the professor simply painted the scene at will, prompting her to imagine and speculate what kind of temple the sketches would unveil if turned into reality!
She soon realized that Professor Landry wasn't just good at drawing, but possessed a mastery level that was hard to imagine.
"Just a bit,"
Lanci replied with a carefree smile.
Over the past two years, he did many things but seldom drew.
Over time, not just him, but those around him might have forgotten that he could indeed paint.
"Meow."
Talia the cat observed the drawing in Violet's hands.
She hadn't forgotten the kid's drawing skills.
Whether it was "the poor and pitiful old lady" or the "enigmatic beauty," it left a deep impression on her.
However, Lanci's artistic skill might have connections with that dream where he drunkenly wandered into the Church of the Goddess of Destiny.
The life of Black Sun Lankros was actually very long, much longer than that of humans, as he transformed into an undead after death and might have shared countless years with Tamisha.
Although Lankros' soul might have been fragmented, unable to retain memories for smooth reincarnation, the Goddess of Destiny probably preserved his artistic talent and a mindset built on his arduous journey, leading to Chief Artist Lan Qi who was sent to another world to enjoy a tranquil life for a while. During this period, Lanci had no enemies to fight and likely spent most of the time leisurely honing his painting skills.
As two or three decades passed, Lanci's drawing skills, with wholehearted dedication in a new environment, might have become rehabilitated and further refined beyond that of Lankros.
Yet, Lanci seldom painted anymore, and there was only a sense of detached relaxation detectable around him.
"Professor Landry, could I ask you to sketch a few more impressions you have of the Wolf Clan Holy Land for me? I believe the construction plan for the Bulida Moon Temple can use your sketches as a blueprint and will surely be approved and become a landmark of Bulida,"
Violet requested Lanci.
She could guess that Lanci and Sigrid had been to the Shadow World from thousands of years ago, where such temple structures existed.
"It's my pleasure,"
Lanci agreed upon noting Sigrid by his side also making a 'please' gesture with hands together.
He would have agreed regardless, as he rarely turned down such philanthropic endeavors, especially when it was Violet's request, and making Sigrid happy was certainly a bonus.
"But I've never actually been to the Temple of the Moon Goddess, only got some knowledge from books found in the Shadow World, which might not be comprehensive."
Lanci added to Violet.
He made no promises of how well he could draw it.
"It's alright, it's alright."
Violet waved her hand, even a few sketches would be a great help.
After all, they couldn't build entirely based on the Holy Land from thousands of years ago; modern innovations were still necessary.
