Chapter 856: 23 Events After Brilda's Decisive Battle_4
Isatia smiled expectantly.
Parriet also left behind many legends of Duke Migaya.
They might follow the route of Lanci and Talia to revisit Parriet and relive the past.
"But Migaya, won't you be mobbed if you go to Huadu..."
Loren remembered that Migaya still had a fervent fan club in Huadu.
Having been missing for so long, Migaya's sudden return would likely be noticed on the streets quickly, leading to being chased everywhere, and unable to find peace anywhere.
"No worries, Migaya has a method of concealment."
Isatia said confidently with her chest out.
"Just don't make Huadu even messier."
Loren shook his head.
These days, he understood the situation of the South Continent more thoroughly than others.
"After the Huadu incident, a full-scale war broke out on the South Continent, causing the issues of the Posen Demon Realm to remain temporarily unresolved. Currently, the preliminary solution seems to be that the Poseen Kingdom wants to establish a duchy specifically for the Demon Race at the southern border where it adjoins the Cerryti Empire, to transfer most of the Posen Demon Realm there, and has put forth this idea during peace negotiations."
Loren explained to a few of them.
Placing the demon duchy between Posen and Cerryti is entirely acceptable to the residents of Posen, as they trust the Posen Demon Clan, with whom they have lived for so many years, more than the recently invasive Cerryti Empire. For the Poseen Kingdom, it's also an excellent buffer zone.
Although the Cerryti Empire promoted Loren, sought negotiations actively, and the compensations were much less compared to war indemnity, in the end, compensation would either mean payment or land. What Posen wants is land, and Cerryti happens to have land.
Currently, this matter is still being discussed with the Kingdom Assembly Alliance, and whether this duchy plan can be established and recognized by the alliance not only hinges on the intentions between the Cerryti Empire and the Poseen Kingdom but also requires the vast majority of the alliance's people to approve of the Demon Tribe Kingdom, perhaps initiating a public vote.
"The hope is actually quite high, the contributions of several Great Demon Clans to the Allied Forces in settling the turmoil of the South Continent are indispensable. Moreover, there's the positive image of the Bingxue Witch, a Half-Demon Priest, almost always associated with the benevolent actions of the Church of the Goddess of Destiny, reducing the public's animosity towards demons significantly."
Loren shared all the information he had gathered with his old friends.
"I don't care, regardless of whether the demons establish a nation again, it doesn't concern me. I just care about how fun the Posen Demon Realm is."
Isatia chuckled with a full tourist mindset.
"Then wouldn't your sister be very happy?"
Migaya asked Isatia.
Long ago, he'd heard from Isatia that her sister back home, Princess Talia, initially set out with the wish to restore the nation, embarking on a long journey to find the opportunity to do so, much more determined than Isatia, who chose to marry upon reaching Ichrite and abandon her ambitions.
The demons of Posen all claimed to have seen the Demon King on the day of the Huadu incident.
Originally, the demons of this world believed that the Nine Seal Demon King was a being that only existed in history and legend.
Even though they couldn't clearly see the Demon King's appearance at that time, now the demons in the Poseen Kingdom are convinced that the Silver White Songstress on the stage of the final battle at Brilda is their Demon King, as she is the last and only Nine Seal Demon King of this era.
"Alas, my sister no longer wishes to restore the nation, she only wants to retire peacefully in Ichrite."
Isatia closed her eyes and spread her hands.
Her sister's wish is probably just to live carefree in Ichrite.
And, to marry a good man.
This world is full of things going contrary to one's desires.
When you want something, you can't get it no matter what, but when you've let go, it suddenly might come to pass.
