Don't confiscate my identity as a human race

Chapter 838 Hugh Hyperion's Awakening_5

Even the strongest among the seventh-order, Barton, likely won't last long against an eighth-order summoning.

"Melogas, lend me your power!"

Hyperion stared intently at the most dangerous Magic Card in her hand.

The only possible way to save Abigail's side was to injure Tenth Ancestor Ulysses, even forcing Ulysses to divert more of his focus to his main body!

That way, Ulysses could no longer control the Blood Eagles to attack Abigail and her team!

But at this very moment—

No matter how she attempted, the card continued to emit purple electric cocoons, repelling her.

Perhaps due to the last mistake in usage, her body had already undergone antibody changes; just attempting to use the card made her magic clash violently with the toxin left behind by the Blasphemy Lord.

"Damn it, Blasphemy Lord!!"

Hyperion's hand felt like it was being scorched by oil from the cursed card.

Or perhaps the ancient Demon King's will residing within the card had already decided it was incompatible with her and refused to permit her use of its powers any further.

Abigail and Barton would soon die.

If they died, all intelligence and command communications would be severed. Then Ulysses would recall his summonings and regain his full strength.

No matter which battlefield was chosen to shift resources, eighth-order forces would soon be overwhelmed and annihilated.

Her mother Isatia, her teacher Almis, her friends Antanas, Sinola, Pranay, and other companions would all be slaughtered one by one by the Blood Clan—no one could escape from Blood Moon City.

Now she couldn't even hear Abigail's signals anymore; the camp's infrastructure damage had surely reached an unimaginable extent.

"... Hyperion! Can you hear me?"

A new signal connected to her side.

"Antanas! Are things okay on your end?"

Hyperion asked urgently toward the other side.

With the western camp's communication destroyed, now likely her only reachable contact was the Southside Hall of Annihilation.

"...Quick, use that card, seize its power!"

Antanas pleaded faintly to Hyperion.

With contact to Abigail's side temporarily lost, it was up to Antanas to try salvaging the situation!

Beyond the western fortress team camp, things didn't look good at the Hall of Annihilation either.

The only solution Antanas could think of was for Hyperion to stall Ulysses.

The west, the southwest, the south—all of them were about to utterly collapse within moments!

Antanas and Sinola had personally experienced Hyperion's destructive force during her full Berserk state, a violent power capable of briefly challenging an eighth-order combatant.

"Please, Blasphemy Lord!"

Hyperion gritted her teeth, ignoring the pain in her hands and the rejection of her body, attempting to trigger the card. Never had she imagined a day when she would need the help of the Blasphemy Lord.

But the more aggressive her attempts, the more the turbulent magic of the card exploded fiercely, blasting her away. Her body slammed onto a nearby floating island, rolling several times before coming to a stop—at that exact moment, Ulysses' gaze locked onto her with deadly ease once more.

...

The blood gemstone in the Hall of Annihilation glowed crimson, engraved with the bloodied bones of those once vanquished by Marquis Somerset, the Eighth Primogenitor.

The suffocating scent of blood permeated the air.

The vast battleground at the center of the hall was scarred with winding cracks; molten lava seeped from below, flowing vividly across the ground. Even the earth itself trembled from the ferocity of the fight.

"Too weak! All three of you!"

Each punch from Marquis Somerset carried catastrophic energy, as though a thousand-pound hammer smashing into Sinola's scythe.

Pranay attempted to use his Magic Eye to predict Somerset's attack trajectory and relay directions to Sinola. However, Somerset's speed was so immense it exceeded the pace of thought. Before Pranay's signals could even align, Somerset landed a lightning-fast kick, sending Sinola crashing into the hardened rock walls of the hall, debris exploding outward from the impact.

Sinola gritted her teeth and propped herself up with her blood-stained scythe, channeling her cutting spells with maximum effort, using offense as defense to block Somerset's approach.

Countless razor-sharp slashes hurtled through the air, targeting Marquis Somerset, yet these attacks were as weak as paper before him, disintegrating into fragments in the blink of an eye.

Somerset's heavy punch landed squarely on the Boundary Shield in front of Sinola, shaking her to her core, her internal organs trembling violently.

From the rear, Antanas desperately cast support Spells, surrounding Sinola and Pranay in a soft golden light to treat their injuries.

The three of them combined their efforts, yet in the face of Marquis Somerset, their struggle was unbearably arduous.

"All you know is how to gang up on the few."

A faint sneer of scorn appeared on Marquis Somerset's cold face.

He knew victory was within his grasp. Just a little more force and he could obliterate these three Great Demon Clan fighters completely.

"When you gang up on others, do you feel no shame at all?"

Pranay wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and snapped back at Somerset.

He knew all too well that if Marquis Somerset ever encountered the Saint Polante Pope, he would undoubtedly resort to any means to rally allies and swarm the opponent.

"What does that matter to you?"

Somerset's eyes immediately darkened, and he burst toward Pranay with terrifying speed.

Sinola reacted first, teleporting to Pranay's front to face Somerset head-on, her scythe slicing through the air in an arched trajectory, gathering power to try countering Somerset's offense.

But Marquis Somerset, the Eighth Ancestor, possessed power that far surpassed anything she could withstand. Every strike she parried or blocked made her arms feel as though her bones were splintering.

He mercilessly shattered the shield bestowed by Antanas and launched Sinola flying once more.
