The crowd started to jeer.

Looking at the beaming Ariana and then at the group of guys in front of him howling like ghosts and wolves, Li Wei immediately knew that Ariana was in on a different kind of jeering with them, but Li Wei decided to ignore the pack of hungry wolves from the team, turned the steering wheel, made a U-turn, stepped on the gas, and drove away without a second glance.

Mahomes and the others still stood there. Kelsey patted Mahomes on the shoulder, noticing that the guy was actually rubbing his eyes, which made Kelsey laugh heartily and shamelessly.

Mahomes looked at Kelsey with a face full of resignation, "It's just sand getting into my eyes."

Really! It really was sand!

That guy Li Wei, making that turn with flair on purpose, kicking up dust everywhere.

Mahomes was completely frustrated; even if he told the truth, no one would believe him.

Kelsey didn't care, "Yeah, yeah, sand. But you know it was the rookie who arranged all of this, right? He specifically gathered us all together just to surprise you."

Mahomes was stunned.

Kelsey let out a long sigh. The Kansas City Chiefs had been facing injuries and challenges over the past two years. Even if Li Wei hadn't shown it directly, Annie Galas's death had left an indelible scar, so Li Wei was particularly attentive to injuries.

Ariana burst out laughing instantly, "Indeed it's not, but this night is incredibly fun, something you definitely wouldn't see in a cheesy Hollywood movie. I feel particularly thrilled."

Li Wei was directly amused, "Like a roller coaster?"

Ariana nodded, "Like a roller coaster, such a thrilling ride really drained my energy. I can't believe it, I'm actually hungry."

Li Wei glanced at Ariana, "You must be worried that I didn't have dinner and said that on purpose, right? Thank you, thank you for being so considerate."

Ariana, "Haha, so, if it were midnight, what would you eat?"

They didn't venture to a restaurant but returned to the Marriott Hotel where Ariana was staying and ordered a meal from the hotel kitchen—

Even though the kitchen wasn't closed, the chefs had already finished their shifts, so the menu options were limited, and Li Wei chose the simplest.

Of course, Li Wei was being honest, the most important thing was still considering Ariana's situation.
