Divorced and Determined: The CEO’s Ex-Wife Fights for Love

Chapter 141

Chapter 141 Father and Daughter Are Super Popular! The Kids’ Admiration Level is Maxed Out!

In the afternoon, since he wasn’t setting up his stall, Lu Qin had plenty of time to prepare more ingredients and make more food.

At 5:10 PM, Lu Qin packed all the items for the stall into two large insulated freshness-preserving boxes—350 portions of Twice-Cooked Pork ingredients, 150 portions of Mapo Tofu ingredients, 200 portions of Chicken Bean Curd, 300 portions of Imperial Concubine Chicken Wings and 400 portions of Crystal Shrimp Dumplings

The Ice Crystal Cake and Mung Bean Smoothie didn’t need to be stored in the insulated boxes. Ice Crystal Cake could be stored at normal room temperature without affecting its taste. Lu Qin had already bought two large 200L PET plastic boxes, in which he packed 500 boxes of Ice Crystal Cake.

A 190L insulated box contained 600 cups of iced mung bean smoothie and 180 cups of Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea. Additionally, 120 pounds of An Yang rice noodles had been soaked and drained, ready for use.

With four large boxes of ingredients and food, plus 15 basins of rice noodles, it took Lu Qin about seven to eight minutes to load everything onto his three-wheeled food cart. He stacked everything up to the brim.

Originally, there was still space for one adult inside the three-wheeler, but now, there was no room left at all.

Looks like I need a bigger food cart.

Lu Qin thought to himself that the three-wheeler might need to be upgraded to a four-wheeled fast-food cart. He pulled out his phone and messaged Boss Zhao, asking if he had any leads on a new cart.

Boss Zhao hadn’t replied yet—probably busy. Lu Qin wasn’t in a hurry, so he got on his three-wheeled food cart and rode out of the neighborhood.

______

At 5:30 PM, Lu Qin arrived on time at Starlight Kindergarten. Many parents were already waiting outside, mostly grandparents and mothers picking up their kids. The mothers gathered in small groups, chatting.

They frequently brought up Lu Qin’s family—ever since the last parent-child activity, the family of three had left a strong impression.

“Yao Yao’s mom is so lucky! She has such a great husband and daughter. Especially her husband—his cooking skills are amazing! His food tastes even better than big restaurants!”

“Ugh, why are other people’s husbands always so outstanding? My husband doesn’t even know how to use a rice cooker, doesn’t do any housework, and just smokes and drinks all day.”

“Mine just plays video games all day when he’s home. But at least he doesn’t fool around outside.”

“I can only be jealous. Why couldn’t I meet a perfect husband like Yao Yao’s dad?”

“Even if you wanted to, you’d need Yao Yao’s mom’s looks and figure! I heard she’s the CEO of a chain of high-end hotels! Their whole family is amazing!”

“I’m so jealous!”

As they were chatting, Lu Qin appeared at the kindergarten entrance. Even though he was only wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans, he was seriously handsome—with deep eyes, a tall and lean physique, standing out like a crane among chickens, immediately drawing the attention of many people.

Several familiar parents greeted him enthusiastically.

“Yao Yao’s dad, you’re here!”

“Hey, Yao Yao’s dad, why didn’t you set up your stall this afternoon? I was craving your Imperial Concubine Chicken Wings! My son, Ting Ting, was crying because he wanted to eat the food Yao Yao had for lunch!”

“Same here! My daughter barely ate her own lunch because she was so envious!”

“Yao Yao’s dad, here, have some longan! These are premium Shi Xia longans—crispy flesh, small pit, super sweet!”

“Yao Yao’s dad, take these yogurt drinks—two bottles, one for you and one for Yao Yao!”

Some parents had bought fruits and snacks for their kids but generously shared them with Lu Qin.bHe politely declined as much as he could, but in the end, both of his hands still ended up holding two yogurt drinks, an apple, and a handful of longan.

It was obvious—many parents genuinely liked Lu Qin and his daughter, Lu Xi Yao. At this moment, the teachers led the kids out of the kindergarten.

Parents took out their pick-up cards and brought their children home. Little Lu Xi Yao had, once again, made the other kids jealous with her Mapo Tofu at lunch—so much so that she had been surrounded by admirers all afternoon. Now that school was over, she walked out like a little princess, surrounded by fans.

When she reached her dad, she held out both hands, filled with snacks—all gifted to her by her little friends. There were so many snacks that she couldn’t even return them—because she had no idea who had given what!

Meanwhile, Lu Qin’s hands were also full of food. Seeing this, Teacher Li chuckled.

“Yao Yao’s dad, you and your daughter are both super popular!”

A few parents and children didn’t leave immediately—they waited until Lu Qin picked up his daughter and then approached him.

“Yao Yao’s dad, are you heading home or going to your stall?”

“Not going home. Straight to the stall. I didn’t open in the afternoon, and a lot of customers have been complaining that they’re starving.”

The parents laughed.

“Great! We’ll just follow you there!”

Several children jumped with excitement.

“Uncle Lu! Do you have Mapo Tofu?”

“Yes.”

The parents and kids swallowed their saliva in anticipation. So, Lu Qin rode his three-wheeler in front, followed by a convoy of electric scooters and cars. These parents thought that since they were coming directly with Lu Qin, they’d be the first in line and could buy food before others.

However, when they arrived at the night market, they were shocked. The stall wasn’t even set up yet, but there was already a long line of customers waiting!

The parents were dumbfounded…

“Wait, people are already lining up… even though the stall isn’t even open?”

“One, two, three, four, five… Oh my god, there are already 37 people in line?!”

“No, not 37—now it’s 40! Three more just arrived! This is crazy!”

“When did these customers even get here?”

“You don’t know? Lu Qin has a customer group—almost a thousand people! The moment he sends a message, customers rush over!”

“A thousand-member customer group? Damn, that’s impressive!”

“Well, Lu Qin’s food is just that good!”

Parents hurriedly lined up behind the growing queue. When Lu Qin finally arrived, his regular customers started their usual playful banter.

“Lu Qin! Hurry up! We’re starving over here!”

“Lu Qin, you’re five seconds and 3.15926 milliseconds late! I’m watching you!”

“Can’t you start earlier? Starving like this is too cruel! If you want, I can lend you my Range Rover as a food truck!”

“I heard you have a new dish—Mapo Tofu! Nice! Fast updates! Love it!”

“I’ve loved tofu since I was a kid!”

“I want to eat Lu Qin’s tofu!”

The moment Lu Qin stopped the cart, a few male customers rushed over and helped set up the stall with expert-level efficiency. The stall was up and ready in no time, with all the food neatly displayed.

Meanwhile, Lu Xi Yao brought over a small stool, sat down, and started acting as the little boss.

“Little Boss! Give me some Chicken Wings, Chicken Bean Curd, and two Ice Crystal Cakes!”

“Uncle, please scan the QR code to pay first~!”

“What? You think I’d eat for free? You’re such a little money-grubber!”

In the blink of an eye, she had already made 211.5 yuan. The parents behind in line felt a mix of emotions. Look at Lu Qin’s daughter—so skilled at selling food!

Meanwhile, their own kids were still sucking their thumbs and throwing tantrums just to get snacks. The difference was just too big!

The other kids stared at Lu Xi Yao in awe.

“She’s amazing!”
