Divine Luck: SSS-Rank Battle Maid Harem

Chapter 601: Free Villy

It was the first time Zach used Material Extraction on something so big. He had used it on the Basilisk's brain, but that was only the brain. It was also the first time he used it on something with his friend inside. He was a little worried about how precise he could be.

But the wall was coming down. They had to get Violina out of there before the enemies came.

So, he pulled his hand back, the essence of the ice wall contained within it. He hollowed out the ice block carved out by Yanael. The husk that remained crumbled in a plume of snowflakes and shards of brittle ice.

Before they hit the ground, Anerias had already dived in on Darkwing to catch the falling Violina. After only a few short moments, he returned with Violina, her Ice Spirit, Frost Imp, and Frost Wraith.

Violina was deep asleep. Her face was pale, frost lined her hair, and her lips were icy blue. Still, she snuggled up in Anerias' warm chest as he held her in his arms.

Zach double-checked to see if those were the only familiars that returned with them. He couldn't see if Violina had summoned a fourth familiar. He glanced to the side at Nessa.

"Did Violina also summon a fourth?" He asked, wondering if he had managed to extract it since he didn't know what it looked like. Considering her tendency to summon ice attribute spirits, she could have summoned one that was the same as the ice of the wall.

Nessa could see the worry on Zach's face. Given what he had just done, she understood why he was worried. But she just chuckled and shook her head.

"You'll see."

She didn't say anything else.

The ice wall gradually continued to crumble.

It didn't take long for Zach to understand what she meant. Deeper inside the wall, there was another shadow, one much bigger than Violina but still humanoid in shape.

However, unlike Violina, this shadow wasn't asleep. Once enough of the ice crumbled and weakened, it tensed its muscles and broke free with a deep roar, shattering the ice wall around it. It beat on its chest like a gorilla and started punching the wall to break it down.

Being trapped in the ice wall had only energized it.

Zach's eyes widened as he felt the powerful tremors from the familiar's strikes.

It was a powerful one.

It looked like a yeti, but he had fought monsters like them. This one was a lot stronger. Zach had a feeling that it might have something to do with the crown of blue ice on its head.

"We should probably stop it," Nessa said, walking forward while covering herself in a dark chitin armor.

However, before she could reach it, Anerias whistled to grab its attention. He waved it over when it glanced back.

The Yeti King was reluctant, but his master was in the hands of the one who called him back. For now, the beating would have to wait. But on its way back, it sensed something and glanced to the side. It looked at Zach. To be more specific, he looked at what was in Zach's hand.

It was a ball of sky-blue, concentrated frost. Whether it was for Violina or any of her familiars, it would be of great help to their strength. The Yeti King pointed at it.

It could tell that Zach and his familiars were powerful, so it asked gently.

Zach tossed it to the Yeti King before putting his hand on the ice wall again. There was a tunnel in the ice wall leading to where the Yeti King had been. There was still some ice ahead of that, and there was a lot of ice left to the sides.

But now, Zach could confirm with his Eyes of Truth that there were no allies left in the ice wall.

He didn't have to hold back or concentrate the power of Material Extraction. He just had to get rid of the ice wall.

He closed his eyes to focus.

With Violina and the Yeti King's absence, the ice wall was rapidly losing strength. It would crumble on its own before long. The other side wouldn't even need to continue attacking it. But that would be a waste of time.

Besides, the Yeti King had just told him that it liked the ice balls he could make with the wal's remnants.

Zach made use of his newly improve awareness of his own body to strengthen Material Extraction as much as possible. He withdrew the essence of the ice wall and gathered it in the palm of his hand, condensing it as much as possible.

After several moments, he had a fist-sized deep blue glass-like orb in his hand. Just holding it made frost spread up his wrist and arm. It lowered the temperature in their surroundings until their breaths turned visible.

Zach barely had time to toss it to the Yeti King before the hollowed-out ice wall crumbled into a dusty cloud of snow, which quickly thawed into a few small puddles of water.

The Yeti King caught the ice orb and inspected it. He put Zach at the top of list of people to befriend no matter what it took. But he was stumped. Should he give both orbs to Violina? Could she handle it? Or maybe he should take one for himself? Which one, though?

"Her ice energy is completely depleted. Give your master both. I'll help her digest them." Anerias made the choice for the Yeti King.

Unlike the Yeti King, who had absorbed the ice wall's strength and grown stronger, Violina had only managed to sustain herself with the ice. She had used up all of her strength to create and maintain it for this long. She needed some help to recover.

Without the ice energy and with her body too fatigued to use or endure the effects of her skills, the frostbite was also getting to her. She needed to recover.

The Yeti King nodded and plopped both the marble and the orb into her mouth. Both melted and disappeared into her body at once. The ice energy was released back into her body, but it wasn't her ice energy anymore. It was wild ice energy that rampaged.

Without help, the unconscious Violina would turn into an ice cube permanently.
