Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4358: Preparing To Contact Home

"Speak. What do you know about our Emperor, the Divine Emperor of Death?"

Isabella demanded in a cold voice.

"…"

Young Master Ragoon, despite being badly beaten, his first instinct was to lie and rattle their emotions, finding himself a way out of this mess. He could also enjoy their expressions of despair. But for some reason, he was unable to open his mouth.

If they found out that he was lying, he would be finished.

He could imagine his head falling off the next moment he declared the Divine Emperor of Death was dead.

These insanely powerful women seemed to be crazy about him, so he felt that it would be better if he tread wisely.

"What's taking you so long?" Shirley looked as though she was running out of patience.

She raised her hand, looking like she was going to beat him with the spear's pole again, causing Young Master Ragoon to flinch.

"I'll say, I'll say. The Divine Emperor of Death managed to defeat all the Venerable Knights…"

"Really!?"

Niera flared with excitement etched in her face. The same could be said about Shirley and Isabella. However, how could they easily believe a merchant's words? They knew he would feed them with what they wanted to hear the most.

"I'm not lying…!"

Young Master Ragoon clenched his teeth, "Even I was as skeptical as you all when I heard the news, but it is a fact unless it is intentionally spread by the Divine Emperor of Death himself!"

"Ah! He won't do something like that! You're lying." Aila glared at him.

"No, that's possible."

"Yeah, he'll do it."

"That's so like him~"

"Wha-"

Aila turned to look back at Isabella, Shirley, and Niera, smiling and giggling.

"…" Aila turned speechless. Of course, she knew Davis would do some dubious things, but how could he control the information that spans across realms?

She felt that it was not possible unless that Heavenly Blight Hall had some way but she didn't think even they had the capacity to control information.

"But he'll win."

"He always wins."

Shirley and Isabella confidently replied as they exchanged glances. Isabella's lips curled, "Venerable Knights? They're more like chopping blocks for him if they met him in the same capacity. A pity that they're battling him with their high cultivation bases."

'Yup… these women are crazy…'

Young Master Ragoon put his head down as he thought to himself. He didn't want to be concerned with them anymore, but it was too late to extricate himself from this mess.

"Well, we'll know if you're lying if we return to the town and send some people. Oh- I know just the action we should take. Elder sister, why don't we have this merchant travel to the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm and contact husband for us so we can deliver the Nefarious Darkwill Rakshasa's core to him?"

"Mhm," Isabella nodded in contemplation, "This way, our Emperor can send Stella and the others to the secret realm's entrance to protect us as we bring him this treasure."

"Indeed." Shirley nodded thrice, looking amazed at her own plan as she gazed at Young Master Ragoon.

"You're willing to take a trip, right?

"…"

Young Master Ragoon's expression sank. They were practically forcing him. Why bother asking?

"Should we poison him? I don't believe that he will obediently go there even if he nods right now." Shirley sent a soul transmission to Isabella.

"Yes, we should poison him." Isabella agreed, "There's no other way. Big sister Evelynn can deal with the poison, but it begs the question if he can make it there without ending up in some other place. Worst case scenario, he could go back to his True Peak Emporium in the Upper Realms, so we need to grab hold of his weakness to make him stay."

"What might that be?"

"No idea. A merchant like him wouldn't be walking around with a weakness."

"Sure enough." Shirley pouted.

They really needed to consider what they should do and can't be easygoing about it.

After all, they figured that even if Davis managed to defeat the Venerable Knights, he might be hurt and resting or dealing with the aftermath that might span across realms. They were also about to conquer the Verdant Vale Lower Realm, after all. There was no news about that- or rather, Young Master Ragoon didn't share that information yet.

Therefore, they decided to return to the first and hire some people for information gathering.

Naturally, they didn't do it by themselves.

They did it by using Young Master Ragoon, forcing him to do their bidding. Meanwhile, they also continued to hunt for treasures in the fragmented shard worlds, collecting treasure after treasure. Their spatial rings and life rings were filled with exotic treasures, some the human world had never seen before, just like that darkness spirit who had no racial name.

Days passed.

Information from the Lower Realms poured in, making countless geniuses astonished.

Even the Ghostly Crow Realm Master seemed to have been taken hostage and then was spared with the fate of the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm on the line.

Isabella and the others were nearly dancing in joy.

They couldn't help but feel everything went smoothly and were careful. Regardless, the excitement from their victory lasted for a month before they finally decided to send the chained Young Master Ragoon outside on a pilgrimage to their home.

They needed him to personally get Davis for them so that they could step out without endangering themselves.

After a month, surely, things would've calmed down and according to the information they held, nothing major happened. Still, they never managed to grab hold of Young Master Ragoon's weakness, although they did manage to inflict fear in his heart by beating him up every day.

They nearly killed him when they found out that he was seeking to capture them and have Davis come out and break the Covenant.

Still, they hoped that he would become their lapdog so that they could enjoy being able to buy and sell resources in the Upper Realms. They figured that they would eventually need the True Peak Emporium to become like the Opulent Shell Company that worked for them, but the former was so big, so their intentions in controlling Young Master Ragoon were half-hearted.

Better than them, they figured that Davis would take care of him and sent him away.
