Chapter 46: Lost Continent
Max took out the black sword he had obtained in the secret chamber of the Burning Wilds dungeon and pricked his finger, but nothing happened.
"Huh? My skin really did become thick." Max muttered, smiling as he noticed this. From what he could tell, it was the effect of Dragon Scales. He hadn't had such thick skin before, and only the Dragon Scales could have such miraculous effects.
"Dragon Scales are good. I should look into runestones more in the future." He muttered before forcing the sword into his finger, causing a cut to appear.
Drops of blood fell to the ground, and after a moment, the cut on his finger closed up.
Almost instantly, a small bud rose from the ground where his blood had fallen. It appeared like any other bud from a plant, but crimson in color.
'So, I just have to wait for this bud to grow and give birth to a spirit.' Max mused to himself.
Although he had rarely seen spirits, from what he could tell, they were highly valued in the world. Therefore, possessing a spirit directly linked to him would only benefit him.
Moreover, there were many good uses for a spirit, depending on its nature, though at the moment, Max lacked knowledge of their uses. He only knew that spirits existed and that they were valuable.
'My current knowledge is very limited.' Max sighed before glancing at the spirit bud one last time and leaving the Dimension of Spirit.
Arriving in the world of clouds, Max didn't hesitate and entered through the door to the Dimension of Time.

A week passed as Max spent another 170 years practicing his skills in the Dimension of Time.
This time, though, he managed to stay grounded, not losing his mind. But that didn't mean it was easy. Every second he rested to catch his breath, he questioned whether everything he was doing was worth it. He questioned his beliefs and resolve. He doubted himself, but he held on to the hope—however small—that he would find and reunite with his family.
With that hope in mind, he dismissed any negative thoughts that came to his mind in the Dimension of Time and focused all his attention on mastering his skills.
Opening his eyes, Max looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar surroundings. "I did well this time compared to last time." He muttered softly.
'Status.'

"All my skills are level 100 again." Max muttered in satisfaction before standing up and heading to the bathroom.
After a quick bath, he ate the meal he had prepared and lay down on the bed again for another dive into the Dimension of Time.
"A realm beyond level 100… A realm that no human has ever touched or even hopes of touching… here I come." Max muttered to himself excitedly as he entered the Dimension of Time once more, this time to do something that would significantly affect his future.

Core Circle, East Region.
In one of the many structures held by the Blade Family, a lady with silver-white hair stood before a man who had his back turned to her. The man also possessed the same hair color as the lady.
"Have you gotten any news about him?" The man asked, his voice tinged with authority.
"Not at the moment, but we are currently searching for him near his house. We believe we will find him soon." Elena said.
"Hmmm," The man nodded and contemplated for a moment before turning to Elena. "For now, let him be. Don't waste your time on him. Instead, make sure our family maintains the lead in the Battle Realm. Only a year left before the Lost Continent, and I don't want any mishaps."
He added. "Most importantly the Sky Ruins could come down anytime in one or two years time. So, for the time being I want all focus on the Battle Realm."
"As you say, father." Elena said as she slowly left the room.

At the headquarters of the Phoenix Order guild, in a quiet and serene place with a backyard and a small pool of water, two ladies stood. One was Alice, and the other had white hair with hints of orange. She appeared around 30 years of age.
"So, you want me to go and bring him here, is that it?" The lady with the orange-tinted hair smiled, her expression cheeky as she looked at Alice.
Alice nodded with hopeful expression.
"And let me get this straight… you met him in the dungeon and you believe his potential is higher than yours or any genius in the guild?" The lady smiled at Alice before her expression turned teasing. "Or is it that our little miss has fallen in love with someone and now wants to protect him by bringing him to the guild?"
Alice's face turned red. "That's not it, Big Sis Sophia," she hurriedly clarified. "It's true that his situation looks bleak right now, but his potential is higher than mine."
She added, earnestly requesting, "Please, Big Sis Sophia, you have to listen to me this one time. It's my request."
Sophia looked deeply at Alice before nodding. "Alright, since you're so eager, I won't mind taking a glance at him. If he's even half of what you've described, I'll give him a place in my department."
"I knew you would agree." Alice jumped in happiness and hugged Sophia. "You are the best, Big Sis."
"How could I ever let you down?" Sophia said, patting her head dotingly.
"But I have a condition," she added, looking at Alice.
Alice became curious. "What is it?" she asked.
Sophia looked toward the window and said, "I want you to enter the top 10 of Novice Rank in the Battle Realm before you upgrade your rank to Apprentice Rank."
Alice agreed without hesitation. "I've already planned to do that." Her expression turned slightly hesitant as she asked, "How is our guild's situation in the Battle Realm?"
Sophia sighed at this question. "It's not good, but not bad either. We're teetering on the edge of average, not knowing when we'll be overtaken by those behind us, or whether we'll ever ascend. But since there's only a year left before the Lost Continent and descend of the Sky Ruins, everyone is giving their best."
She added, "That's also the reason we're accepting more recruits this year. The gap between those at the top and us in the middle is vast, but there is a way to close it by using numbers. Quantity over quality. At least, that's your mother's plan."
Alice nodded, her expression solemn. She understood the importance of the rankings in the Battle Realm and what it meant to rank higher, but she also knew it wasn't easy.
With all the powers in the East Region fighting for supremacy in the Battle Realm, it was inevitable that some would perform better, some would be average, and some even below.
'With my power… I can only make it to the Lost Continent next time, which is three years away but Sky Ruins…' Alice sighed at her situation.
