Dimensional Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

Chapter 718: Turmoil in Dressrosa

At first, Pudding thought Kaguya was just joking. But she never imagined those two damn women would really make her do chores—cleaning, laundry, cooking. Having been raised in luxury, Pudding had never done such tasks in her life.

Not even during the most difficult times after Big Mom's death had she experienced anything like this.

Every time Pudding saw Kaguya and Bonney, her teeth itched with hatred. But with both of them being pirates with bounties over a hundred million, unless she was absolutely sure she could win, she wouldn't dare make a move.

Still, this life was pure torment. If anyone asked her what hell looked like, she'd point to this. Pudding didn't want to stay even one more day.

One day, she vowed, she would kill those two.

As she scrubbed the ship's deck, Pudding ground her teeth and muttered in her heart.

"Hey, hey, isn't this going a little too far?" Bonney glanced at Pudding hard at work in the distance and whispered with a hand over her mouth.

"Too far?" Kaguya said, amused. "Wasn't it her who objected in the first place?"

"Objecting isn't a crime. We shouldn't have let a complete stranger on board in the first place," Bonney argued. "But making her work like this... isn't it a bit much?"

"What's wrong with that?" Kaguya took a sip of tea. "If she wants something, she needs to earn it. There are no free lunches in this world."

Bonney suddenly had a thought. "Wait... don't tell me you know her?"

"Of course not. Don't be ridiculous," Kaguya replied with a smirk. "But don't worry. She won't be staying on this ship for long."

Sure enough, just as Kaguya had predicted, two days later Pudding slipped away from the ship without a sound. It seemed the past couple days had left her thoroughly traumatized.

The skies were clear, clouds drifting lazily, the sea shimmered under the sun. A breeze carried a hint of coolness in the summer heat.

After five days at sea, they arrived at Dressrosa. But just as they were about to dock, both Kaguya and Bonney were taken aback by the sight before them.

Above the island stretched countless white threads like spiderwebs, covering the entire island in a dome. Under the sunlight, they glinted like a shining birdcage.

More than that, Kaguya noticed the cage was shrinking rapidly. In just moments, it had contracted by a tenth.

Wherever the threads passed, land, forests, and buildings were sliced cleanly apart like tofu.

Kaguya's eyes narrowed. She recognized this technique—Doflamingo's "Birdcage."

Why would Doflamingo resort to such a self-destructive move?

This technique would destroy the entire city—cutting buildings, people, and everything else into pieces.

"What is that?" Bonney's eyes widened in shock. Clearly, she had never seen such a move before.

In a flash, Kaguya stepped forward like an arrow loosed from a bow. In just a few leaps, she disappeared toward the distance, her voice trailing behind.

"Stay here and wait for me. Don't run off. I'll be back soon."

"Hey! Wait!" Bonney stomped in frustration. "What do you mean 'don't run off'? Idiot! I'm not a child!"

She took off after her, but how could she match Kaguya's speed? Within moments, Kaguya had vanished from sight.

BOOM

A deafening explosion echoed as a figure was blasted backward. With a heavy boom, the figure slammed into a wall, shattering stone and leaving a massive crater surrounded by spiderweb-like cracks.

Opposite him stood Luffy, his blackened upper body covered in the patterned Armament Haki of his Devil Fruit power. His body had swelled, resembling a gorilla, and he bounced off the ground like a spring.

Cough cough. Doflamingo wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, looked up coldly, and said, "Do you understand the consequences of what you've done?"

"Consequences?" Luffy snorted, steam snorting from his nostrils.

"That's right," Doflamingo sneered. "You dared to destroy this place—to ruin that person's plan. She won't let you off easily. Hahaha!"

"She?" Luffy blinked, confused.

"That's right," Doflamingo's expression twisted with malice. "She is Kaguya."

Kaguya.

Not only did Luffy freeze, but even the people watching the broadcast in town were stunned.

Could she be the one from the legends?

"That's right," Doflamingo said with a smirk, as if reading their minds. "That person... is none other than the one known as the strongest in the world: Kaguya."

The city burst into uproar.

"Are you kidding? Didn't the Navy already capture her?"

"Yeah! Don't lie to us—she's scheduled to be executed soon. Don't take us for fools."

"Do you think we're idiots, Doflamingo?"

"He's just trying to scare us."

"We're not falling for that again!"

Doflamingo sneered mockingly. "Fools. You believe the Navy just because they told you to? You're all just a bunch of ignorant idiots."

His words immediately triggered waves of angry shouting and curses from the crowd—even from a distance, the noise could be clearly heard. But Doflamingo was unmoved, smiling coldly. "You clueless people will regret it when she truly arrives. She won't show any mercy."

The once-heated crowd suddenly fell into silence. Even the air seemed to grow still. People looked at each other, fear evident in their eyes.

Kaguya's name was legendary. She was considered the strongest of all—even among the current Three Emperors, none could compare. Countless powerful figures had fallen before her. Rumor had it that even Whitebeard, whom the Navy feared greatly, wasn't her equal. Some said even Red-Haired Shanks had once learned swordsmanship from her.

If it truly was her... then what would they do?

A heavy dread settled over the crowd.

The expressions of the crowd darkened. With Doflamingo's strength and status, there was no reason for him to lie. With his arrogant personality, he wouldn't stoop to such tactics.

Besides, the Navy's public announcement of the execution had always been suspicious. There had been no prior information, and both open and secret searches had turned up nothing—yet suddenly she was captured? The Navy never mentioned how the capture happened, nor were there any witnesses. It made many question whether it was even true.

What raised even more doubt was that someone like Kaguya—who once came out unscathed against the three Admirals, the hero Garp, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, and even Whitebeard's assault—was now supposedly captured? Even if she couldn't win, escaping should've been no problem.

Many had voiced doubts at the time.

Still, hearing it directly from Doflamingo shocked everyone. After disappearing for more than a decade, was Kaguya really about to reappear?

Thinking of that suffocating figure burned into their memories, everyone fell into a heavy silence. If they had truly provoked her, what would they do then?

Only a few younger folks seemed confused. Was she really that terrifying?

"So what?"

Luffy suddenly raised his head, clenched his fist, and shouted, "Even if she comes, so what? I'll just hit her with everything I've got and send her flying!"

Doflamingo sneered, a mocking smile curling on his lips. "The ignorant know no fear. Only someone unaware of her true strength would naively think they could beat her. That's just delusional."

"No matter what, you brought ruin to this country. That's unforgivable," Luffy said, steam snorting from his nose. "I'll knock you out and break through this place!"

He raised his arm to his mouth and bit down. Air rushed in, inflating his muscle-bound arm until it swelled larger than his own body.

"If you think you can, then go ahead and try, brat!" Doflamingo snarled, stretching out a hand. Threads instantly formed a barrier in front of him.

"Spider Web Wall!"

Luffy launched himself forward with a powerful kick, propelling himself like a rocket. His fist swung toward Doflamingo with devastating force.

"If you won't submit, then die!"

Doflamingo extended his arm, unleashing a volley of black threads shaped like spears that shot toward Luffy's fist like lightning.

"Sixteen Holy Bullets: God Thread Execution!"

Clang!

Fist and black spears collided, the clash echoing like blades meeting in battle.

"Aaaaahhhh!"

Veins bulged across Luffy's forehead. Muscles pulsed wildly.

On the other side, Doflamingo gritted his teeth, pouring all his strength into blocking the crashing punch.

Suddenly, Luffy let out a furious roar. His body surged with even greater power and swelled again. With one mighty strike, his fist came smashing down.

A tidal wave of force exploded forward. Doflamingo's pupils contracted sharply.

Such overwhelming strength.

BOOM!

With a deafening crash, Luffy's punch slammed into Doflamingo's face. Doflamingo was sent flying like a cannonball, crashing through several towers before hitting the ground with a thunderous boom.

BOOM!

The tremendous impact shattered the stone-paved ground. Rocks split apart, the town crumbled, and spiderweb-like cracks spread across the surface. Deep chasms opened like ravines, and even boulder-sized chunks of earth were flung into the air.

As the dust settled, it revealed a town in utter ruins. What was once a prosperous city had been reduced to rubble—collapsed buildings and debris scattered everywhere. The island itself was now fractured, and if not for its deep foundation, it might have collapsed entirely.

Survivors emerged from the ruins, stunned by the devastation. But soon, a wave of jubilant cheers erupted like a tidal wave.

"We won! We won!"

"Look, the Birdcage is gone!"

"It's finally over! We're free!"

"No more slavery! Waaaah!"

"Straw Hat is truly a remarkable man!"

"Luffy did it!"

"It's finally over!"

But just as the crowd celebrated with unrestrained joy, a melodious voice echoed in everyone's ears—ethereal and distant, yet unnervingly close and clear.

"Though I shouldn't spoil your mood at a time like this, nor shatter your dreams—don't you think you're celebrating a bit too early?"

The crowd froze. A chill ran down their spines as they nervously looked around, unsure of what was happening.

Then someone pointed toward a distant tower. "Look! Over there!"

Atop the tower stood a slender figure with golden hair. Her delicate and striking features were unforgettable. It was Kaguya.

"Who are you?!" Zoro stepped forward instantly, blades drawn, his eyes locked warily on Kaguya.

Kaguya didn't acknowledge him. With a light step, she descended slowly from the air, walking over to the battered and bloodied Doflamingo. Standing above him with icy indifference, she looked down and said, "So this was your so-called plan?"

Cough cough.

Doflamingo coughed violently and looked up with a weak smirk. "I was careless this time, next—"

Before he could finish, Kaguya lashed out with a brutal kick to his gut, sending him flying. He crashed into a nearby wall with a loud boom. His glasses shattered, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.

Everyone was stunned. Weren't they supposed to be on the same side?

Why were they fighting each other? Was this some kind of infighting?

Doflamingo, bleeding from his nose and mouth, struggled to get up. But before he could rise, a foot stomped down on his chest, pinning him to the ground.

Kaguya stared down coldly at him and said, "What a pathetic waste. You couldn't even handle a bunch of ragtag nobodies. Do you even deserve to exist in this world? You might as well bash your head against a wall and be done with it."
