Devouring Dragon Heir

Chapter 99: Ch 99 EX ranked watcher -2

"William was right" Klaus said, his voice low, his eyes fixed on the Watcher in front of him. "These Watchers do consider humans as ants."

Klaus, now officially SS-rank in the system's progression, hovered in the air, his body radiating terrifying waves of heat and cold.

In front of him was a blue-skinned alien, a Watcher with a curved double horn protruding from its forehead. Its build was incredibly muscular, radiating immense power.

A smirk, cold and arrogant, was etched on its sharp, alien face. This was the EX-rank monster.

"Kneel" it tried to command Klaus in a low, grotesque voice its gaze fixed directly towards Klaus.

Its tone was filled with contempt which ordered the lower race mortal in front of him.

An aura of EX-rank boomed from its form, focusing on Klaus's figure, trying to make him kneel.

Klaus, however, was no longer just a mortal. He was the heir of a dragon god.

[Ding!! Draconic Pride is activating, Buddha Incarnate is going dormant.]

"Tsk, a blue chimpanzee like you should dig the ground with your horns before crawling into it" Klaus said mockingly, his voice was cold.

The effect of the Watcher's EX-rank aura did not affect Klaus at all. He simply stood, now looking at the Watcher with a stretched, confident smile.

The Watcher's expression changed from disdain to annoyance. Its eyes squinted, its smirk faltering slightly.

"So what if you have some new tricks, ant? The human race will still be always weak.

Today I will make you understand the inherent difference between us and why the Watchers are superior." Its voice was filled with an unwavering pride.

"Watcher race? The amount of shit that comes out of your mouth, I should call you the mouth-shitter race" Klaus retorted.

[Ding!! The adversary is successfully enraged, the Damaging Pride effect is activating!]

[Ding!! Host's attacks would inflict 50% more damage from now on for some time]

This was exactly what Klaus had been waiting for, to activate the last and most powerful effect of his Draconic Pride trait.

Damaging Pride: If the host manages to humiliate their enemy through any means, all their subsequent attacks deal 50% more damage for a set duration. This effect fuels their ego, pushing them to seek not just victory, but absolute, crushing superiority and public humiliation of their foes.

The Watcher's eyes squinted further. Its face twisted into an expression of raw, uncontained anger.

"Your words will cost you your life" it snarled. With that, the humanoid alien who was still floating moments ago disappeared while appearing a few steps away from him in the air. Its telekinetic power was formidable.

Klaus, still in his mutated elemental form, rushed forward. He did not waste time with words anymore. He unleashed a barrage of attacks.

A combination of glacial impalers from his ice half and searing meteors from his fire half, all imbued with the 50% damage boost, flew towards the Watcher, aiming to overwhelm it with pure elemental power.

But the Watcher did not move. It simply looked at Klaus. Its smirk, which had faltered, returned.

A powerful, invisible force slammed into Klaus, a push of pure non-elemental energy. It was telekinetic power.

The force was immense, far beyond anything Klaus had felt before. Klaus was pushed back. His body skidded violently through the air, his form had momentarily been destabilized.

He felt a sharp, blow, a pressure that even his amplified elemental form had registered. He had not anticipated a telekinetic attack from the Watcher.

"Damn, telekinesis I need to absorb this no matter what"

[ding!!, host should do that as telekinesis is an advanced concept you will not find on this planet easily]

"yes I remember you talking about the thing called concept and how they are different from elemental laws, let's talk in detail after this"

Klaus, realized that his dual-elemental form was not really going to be in use since the watcher was in air, and he could not use the terrain against him.

He returned to his normal form, his suit appearing instantly as he landed lightly on the ground with his tensed up body.

He watched as his unleashed glacial spear and meteor of fire slammed into the static Watcher. The two attacks hit the Watcher directly but did not injure it even one bit. The Watcher simply absorbed the impact, its skin unharmed.

It smiled eerily at Klaus. "Hehe, so this is all you can do, ant?"

"System, my attacks don't affect him even after a 50% boost. Should I use Dragon's Might?" Klaus asked internally. He was genuinely confused. His S-rank skills, with a 50% boost, should have at least left a mark.

[Ding! Host, I believe the Watcher is acting. It has taken the brunt of two of your strongest skills, and I believe he is suffering from acute pain. It's just that its pride doesn't allow it to show his pain.]

"Huh?" Klaus now carefully looked at the Watcher above.

Its blue form was almost clean, but there were unmistakable hints of faint burn marks on its body, particularly where the meteor's heat had been most concentrated.

One of its fists was clenched tightly, its knuckles white, indicating a significant effort to hold back from showing pain. Klaus had failed to notice this earlier.

"OH!" Klaus realized the level of deception the Watcher was playing. It was trying to bluff, to intimidate him.

He suddenly smirked and said, looking at the Watcher "Get ready, mouth-shitter."

Klaus's hands went behind his back and then suddenly shimmered with fire and ice energies as a dangerous thought crept up his mind.

He will not just attack normally from now on, he will also toy with the watcher the same way it tried to do with him.

He decided to just spam everything at the mouth shitter in front of him before it attacks with the telekinetic attack again.

"Hmm?" The Watcher looked at Klaus, irritated by the new name Klaus was calling him.

It suddenly decided to finish the "ant" in front of him first, before he could humiliate him any further.

It was not going to allow Klaus to continue his verbal assault.

"Any last wishes?" it sneered while looking at Klaus, its voice filled with a final, chilling contempt.
