A few days had passed since the finish of the entrance ranking battle.

Klaus had absolutely dominated the battles and had become a celebrity among the public. His fame had spiked unprecedentedly, and various fan campaigns had started all over the world regarding him.

Some were even making short films on his battles, but his strength was not the only reason for his fame but also his daring dialogues and narcissistic attitude, which weirdly attracted public attention.

The world was still reeling from the events that happened during the entrance.

Some fans had already crowned Klaus Bennet and Julie Ashburn as the two most talented individuals of the new generation and also named the duo as the Fire Emperor and his Wind Empress.

Meanwhile, in a dark underground chamber far from this chaotic scene, a secret meeting was going on.

It was happening somewhere in the capital city, far away from the eyes of the public and the media.

The patriarchs of the main Legacy Families were now seated around a large, circular table in a dark, heavily secured room.

The only light came from a single, pulsating hologram at the center of the table. Except for the lord of the Blackwood House, all the rest of the six patriarchs of legacy families were seated.

Their expressions were grim, their postures were straight, and their auras were fully unleashed; if only there was someone else present in this room, then that person would have been blasted into pieces.

The hologram in the center of the table was depicting a replay of Julie Ashburn summoning a meteor and then controlling the wind.

She appeared as a figure of innocent beauty, effortlessly summoning the large windstorm that had obliterated a significant part of the virtual map.

The video was looping, playing her devastating display of power again and again. The silence was heavy as the powerful leaders watched.

"Her powers are really mysterious, and she controls two elements," Bernard Ravenstein, the father of Edward Ravenstein and the patriarch of the Ravenstein house, spoke.

His voice was low and gravelly. "Although she controls the wind, it does not seem like a normal skill.

It is more like a whole battle-type cultivation technique, which is providing her a more than normal mastery of the wind and fire element."

He observed the video, his eyes narrowed, and his mind was simultaneously calculating the implications. "It seems like Magnus did not hold back in nurturing her. She is a real monster."

"We should keep a very close eye on her," Neil Ashford, the patriarch of the Ashford family, spoke with a suspecting tone.

"Her powers are already a big problem. But her recent closeness to that William's brat is also a concern. We never know when the Academy's stance might change, given their good historical relationship with the Association in the previous generation."

"You can be at peace, Neil," a lady with seductive contours and sharp facial features replied, her voice smooth and confident.

She sat in a shimmering red gown with a fiery aura, but still her presence was magnetic.

She was Elva Crimson, also known as Lady Crimson, the matriarch of the Crimson family and the mother of Elara Crimson.

"My daughter has already befriended Julie Ashburn. She will keep an eye on her in the academy, at least, and will regularly report everything to me. We will have our eyes on her movements."

A grim silence followed.

The topic of Julie was an issue, but not their main one.

The hologram at the center of the table changed, shifting from Julie's windstorm to the scene of Damian and Klaus fighting.

It showed Klaus's Blazing Meteor slamming into Damian's sword, the massive explosion, and the subsequent chase.

"We have a much bigger headache than this, Elva," Gilbert Hawkins, the patriarch of the Hawkins family, said in his deep and weary voice.

He was a man with a tired face, but his eyes held a dangerous glint. "These two," he continued, gesturing at the hologram, "are an unprecedented and unchecked threat."

"Although this Damian Blade is not affiliated with any power and thus can be dealt with easily, he still controls a strange energy we have never seen before; it might be a power acquired from an ancient legacy or an alien civilization—we never know.

It will be good if we can tame him to be our dog like how Arthur was tamed by Elva. Although, killing him might be a much better option in my opinion."

"The second is Klaus Bennet," Gilbert continued, his voice hardening.

"This brat has crossed all limits. He does not fear anyone, it seems, and is even more shameless than William himself.

He doesn't even treat our children as equals, but that is not the main problem."

Gilbert's voice dropped to a very grim tone.

"It's his strength. Controlling two opposing elements, fire and ice, was already an anomalous trait. But his ability to match the strength of an EX-ranked monster puts him in an even more dangerous and alarming category.

You can also roughly say that the Bennett family now has two EX-ranked individuals, not to mention the headache he will cause once he eventually reaches the EX-rank himself." Gilbert concluded in a grim tone; his final words resonated with the fear and concern of everyone in the room.

"So what do you suggest, Gilbert?" The Helios patriarch, Kevin Helios, asked; his voice was calm, but his eyes held a keen interest.

Gilbert looked at him and said,

"Although we've all had our differences all these years, I must say that whenever some variable has threatened to shift the balance of power, the seven families have always cooperated with each other to remove that variable.

Be it the awakening of the Cromwell's eldest son 20 years ago, which required a lot of human sacrifices and control, it was a thing we all agreed to overlook and also cooperated to block the news and various rebellions that popped up."

Gilbert looked in a certain direction at the Chromewell patriarch, silently pausing for a brief moment, which earned him a silent nod from the concerned party, before he continued.

"Or be it any other occasion, like killing the previous son of William Bennet, Max, in secret.

Although the Blackwood Lord wasn't present at that time and even now, I believe we six bear enough authority for this.

I think it's that time we Paragons make a collective move to erase the Bennett family from existence."

David Chromewell retorted in an unsure tone, "Are you sure about this, Gilbert? The Bennett family might have some secret tricks that might backfire on us." He was being cautious since erasing a legacy, and that too of someone like the Bennet family with a very rich ancestral heritage.

Gilbert smiled; his eyes held a murderous glint.

"If there was such a secret weapon or trick, then Max Bennett, William's son, must surely have used it when we surrounded him many years ago. But you saw how he died. He was no match in front of all of us."

Gilbert's words were a cold, calculated assertion that William's family, despite their immense power, had limits. In his words, the eyes of everyone who was earlier hesitant started shining. The promise of unchallenged power was immense.

"So if we have to carry out this plan, we need to lure them both to a secluded place, far away from the eyes of the Academy and the Church."

Neil Ashford said with a smile on his face he wanted to return the humiliation of his grandson to that obnoxious brat tenfold; his gaze was fixed on Gilbert, waiting for a reply.

"You don't have to worry about that," Bernard Ravenstein spoke unexpectedly, a wide grin on his face.

"Recently, the SSS-rank gate that William acquired from my family due to the bet we lost at the conclave of youths—he will soon visit there to clean up the gate and neutralize it to prevent a monster breakout.

I suspect that even Klaus Bennet will be with him on this occasion.

The gate is located in the Antarctic landmass, far away from the ears of most of the powers and also the public.

We can absolutely finish them there, and then after killing them, we can spread the rumors about how both of them died inside the gate fighting some unknown dangerous monsters.

We will spread the information that the gate contained monsters capable of wiping even Paragons from existence, and we have never heard of such abominations before.

This news will cause shock and won't even give time to the public or other factions to speculate anything related to their deaths.

since they would be panicking from the uncertainty of what creatures might be contained in the gate and how the monsters might break out and cause destruction."

"The church and the academy would also mobilize their forces to mitigate the crisis, but before they can do anything, we all will together raid the gate and neutralize it so that we might as well get an image boost.

And also the feat of defeating these paragon-killing creatures will reinforce our strength in the public." Bernard concluded, his smile widening.

"Hehe, you are one hell of a schemer, Bernard." David Chromewell laughed with satisfaction after hearing the detailed, ruthless scheme from Bernard's mouth.

The plan was flawless with a perfect blend of deceit and manipulation.
