[Tower, Last City]

IEatPaint stood with arms crossed, trying his hardest to not look impatient. BearSpray had already found a wall to lean against as he continued to stay silent.

While Undecided, for the fifth time, only had one thing to ask, "Is he here yet?"

"For the fifth f*cking time, NO!" Waffles barked as she scrolled through her inventory.

"He said, and I quote, I'll be there in five." TheOneWhoKnocks chimed in as he stood over a ledge, "That was one f*cking hour ago."

"Cut him some slack" BearSpray sighed.

"SLACK? We're supposed to be doing the Venom faction quest today! How's this dude always late." Undecided grinded his teeth.

"His mother probably got him on chores." Waffles kicked a small football over the ledge.

"Dude, how many chores could there possibly be?" TheOneWhoKnocks muttered.

"Wanna run some bounties before this dude shows up?" Waffles opened her director.

"Don't even try. Remember the last time we did an event without him?" Undecided clicked his tongue.

"Right..." Waffles recalled Gandalf's antics and promptly closed her director.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" IEatPaint roared, startling everyone. He darted towards the railings and did a pristine jump using his boosters till he was practically gliding. Naturally, that was only temporary, as he swiftly fell to his death.

"Valid crashout." BearSpray nodded.

An instant later, his ghost flickered near them, hovering for a revive.

TheOneWhoKnocks walked towards it, and initiated the revive as he looked over at the Courtyard, "What's up with the new decor?"

They all looked over, as a multiple banners seemed to pop and flair ahead. Each a distinct color, with its own insignia.

Moments later, guardians appeared beside the banners.

"Some sort of event?" Waffles's eyes narrowed.

Their radars blinked as a notice popped, highlighting New Monarchy, Future War Cult and Dead Orbit. The next second, players seemed to flock towards the banners.

"Holy shi*, did the city factions just release?" BearSpray's eyes widened.

"…Should we go look at the loot?" Undecided said, watching as a crowd emerged , "Just saying. VENOM doesn't have restrictions, right?"

"I mean… we are just waiting." TheOneWhoKnocks nodded.

"F*ck it, just grab them all!" IEatPaint sprinted towards the banners.

Like moths to shiny loot, they also followed. It took them all a few minutes to collect all three faction's quests. Then, the group of five rendezvoused near the railings.

"Okay, hear me out," BearSpray began, "Dead Orbit's got a crazy solid Auto Rifle."

"The Unwilling Soul-09?" Undecided chimed in.

"Yup, stats look pretty good, but the best thing is the perks. Melee kills auto reload the gun." BearSpray chuckled.

"Clean, but I've got better." TheOneWhoKnocks opened his New Monarchy quest line, "Admonisher III, rocket launcher with good stats, plus the reload perks are good."

Waffles scoffed, "You dogs haven't seen shi*", she continued and looked at the Future War Cults weapons.

"Look at 'The Chance', good hand cannon. But the perk list says its got explosive rounds. It's basically free damage!" Waffles greedily eyed the gun.

"It's all fun and games till you realize we can only buy them once the faction quest levels up to the max." IEatPaint sighed.

Just then, a Jumpship soared through the sky and gently landed in the hangar beside them. Moments later, Gandalf finally transmatted out, sauntering towards the group as if he was never late.

"Look at the time, you bastard!" Waffles barked the moment she saw him.

"Were you scrubbing the floors? An HOUR!" TheOneWhoKnocks finally let his anger out.

"How do you even be THAT late, are you autistic dude?" IEatPaint shook his head.

Gandalf calmly nodded as he was affectionately pelted by words, but then he cleared his throat, and softly replied, "A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to..."

BearSpray facepalmed and the others simply stared at Gandalf while deathly quiet.

"Don't you have other friends?" TheOneWhoKnocks eyed Undecided.

Undecided rubbed his forehead, "Unfortunately, no."

"Oi!" Gandalf grumbled.

"Shut the f*ck up!" Waffles barked, forcing Gandalf to mutter quietly as he joined Undecided's fireteam. They then told him to grab the faction quests from the courtyard.

When Gandalf returned, no more words were needed. They opened their logs, found the new faction quest at the bottom, and locked it in.

"Time to find out what this new crew's about," Waffles swiftly opened her director as she queued the Workshop as a location.

Gandalf tilted his head. "What do you think the starting loot is?"

"With how its looking, I hope its not expensive." muttered TheOneWhoKnocks.

"Hopefully nothing that requires hours of grinding" BearSpray added, with visible PTSD.

[Workshop. Thieves Landing]

Void lay sprawled over a workbench, one hand dramatically caressed his forehead as he heaved a breath, "That's it for me, good luck."

Pahanin facepalmed, "Shut the f*ck up and get off the bench."

Void leaned forwards to see Pahanin carrying a weapons crate, "Wait, are we done already?"

"No thanks to you that's for sure" Pahanin clicked his tongue, two clones formed beside Void as they grabbed him from the arms and legs, hurling him off the bench.

"Oi!" Void hit the ground with a thud and rolled back to his feet, "I told you, I am not good at crafting."

Void eyed his system stats and sighed, despite spending hours in the workshop, his crafting level had not increased.

[Crafting Lv5: Passable, but mediocre.]

"Maybe if you didn't doze off halfway through my explanations you'd find yourself improving." Pahanin shrugged as he pulled out three finished weapons and laid them on the workbench.

"Whatever, just show me the goods." Void hurried to the workbench and inspected the weapons.

Pahanin stopped him as he carefully outlined the weapons crafted, "Alright. This will be Venom's official first generation. As discussed, we went with a hand cannon, a shotgun and a pulse rifle."

"Color scheme is pretty good, primary black and a secondary neon color looks amazing." Void held up the hand canon as he examined it.

-

Name: Mamba MK1 (Legendary)

Category: Hand-Cannon

"Speed and lethality combined."

Perks:

(Fanged Barrel): Bullets are likely to ricochet onto enemies with critical shots.

(Lethal Speed): Kills grant lethal speed, increasing reload speed and reducing firing time.

-

Pahanin nodded, "The intention is for it to go unnoticed with its black color, but as the guns fire and overheat, the neon colors shine brighter. A fun little quirk, thought it'd look nice."

"Good taste, besides the perk on this hand-cannon really hinge on long combat." Void rubbed his chin.

"Yup, but check out the shotgun." Pahanin picked it up and held it forwards.

Void examined what looked like an old double barrel shotgun, "Antique design.."

-

Name: Boomslang (Legendary)

Category: Shotgun

"Make them bleed. Do it with style."

Perks:

(Hemotoxin): Every shot hurts the enemy causing weakness and making them prone to damage.

(Shell Shock): Shots fired after quickly switching to this weapon do extra damage, and have a chance to trigger an arc shock that possibly stuns enemies.

-

"I took inspiration from some old weapons, but it packs a punch." Pahanin smiled.

"I can see that, but tell me, did you name every gun after a snake?" Void raised a brow.

"Uh..." Pahanin cleared his throat, "I mean, that's our workshops theme right?"

"Right.." Void put down the hand-cannon and grabbed the last weapon, a pulse rifle.

-

Name: Gaboon MK1 (Legendary)

Category: Pulse Rifle

"Strike first and then, strike last."

Perks:

(Dormant): The first few shots fired deal less damage, but have increased fire rate.

(Relentless): As dormant runs out, each consecutive shot fired does increased damage, at the cost of a lower fire rate.

-

"This one, is practically insane." Void chuckled as he aimed down sights, "What brought the choice to make a pulse rifle that turns into a fusion later on?"

Pahanin shrugged, "They're good early on, but pulse rifles often take too long to fire. I added a unique core to this one, as it heats up, it slows down, but the energy gathered for each shot increases."

"Damn, and how many of these do we have?" Void's eyes gleamed imagining all the profits he could get.

"Right now? Probably about ten units each." Pahanin did a mental count of the inventory.

"What!" Void frowned, "Not enough, not nearly enough. We need more, way more! What's the lead-time for one of these anyway?"

"If I get my clones to help out, and you lend a hand here and there, maybe we can get five to six each in a day's time." Pahanin contemplated, "We've got the machinery, the real problem is the lack of an assembly line. I mean, this isn't the city , we simply don't have that many hands on deck."

"Hands on deck huh..." Void's eyes narrowed, "I guess I'll try to solve that soon, but what about the materials? What's the stock looking like?"

"Fallen scrap is useful, but honestly that's all we have. Besides the goods smuggled from the Cosmodrome. Though, to be honest that shi* is too expensive." Pahanin tapped his wrist as he look at the storage units, "At best we've got the capacity for another hundred units. No more."

"Good enough for now. We'll need to speed up production sooner or later, might as well start now." Void shrugged as he walked to the door, "I'll see Spider on my way out."

Pahanin nodded. As Void was leaving, he walked towards the chair and slumped down with an exhausted sigh. 'As expected, using clones the entire day is too tiring.' He thought to himself.

"Oh right." Void spoke over his shoulder, "the new lights might show up to join today....So, I'll leave you to manage that!"

Pahanin's eyes widened in shock, "WHAT!" He rigidly sat up and looked around, but Void had already vanished.

Pahanin couldn't help but curse, "Oi! I know you still hear me! If they ask to touch my tools I'm kicking them out! I swear it!"

Seeing as he got no response, Pahanin cursed once more and languidly collapse again.
