We all laughed and followed Caroline to the food court. As we walked, I couldn't help but steal glances at Alex.

I wondered what the night had in store for us. Would things be awkward between us, or would we be able to put our feelings aside and just have fun?

Only time would tell.

CONTINUATION

As we sat down to eat, the conversation flowed easily. We talked about school, our favorite TV shows, and our plans for the future.

Tyler, being his usual goofy self, had us all laughing with his silly jokes and impressions. Caroline was her usual bubbly self, chatting excitedly about her latest fashion finds.

And Alex...well, Alex was just being Alex. Quiet, brooding, and utterly captivating.

I found myself stealing glances at him throughout the night, trying to read his expression. Was he happy? Sad? Bored?

I couldn't quite tell, but one thing was for sure: he was still as handsome as ever.

As the night wore on, we decided to catch a movie. We walked to the cinema, laughing and joking together.

As we waited in line to buy our tickets, Alex fell back and walked beside me. "Hey, Tiffany," he said quietly. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

My heart skipped a beat as I nodded, wondering what he wanted to say.

We fell back from the group, walking a little ways behind them. "What's up?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

Alex hesitated, looking around nervously. "I just wanted to apologize for last night," he said quietly. "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."

I looked up at him, surprised. "You didn't hurt my feelings, Alex," I lied. "I just...I don't know, I guess I was just surprised."

Alex nodded, looking relieved. "Yeah, I guess I should have told you sooner. But...I don't know, it's just complicated."

I nodded sympathetically. "I understand. Really, Alex, it's okay."

We walked in silence for a moment, the only sound being the distant laughter of our friends.

Then Alex spoke up again. "Tiffany?"

"Yeah?" I replied, looking up at him.

"Can I ask you something?" he said, his eyes locked on mine.

"Sure," I said, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Do you...believe in fate?" Alex asked, his voice low and serious.

I was taken aback by the question. "Fate?" I repeated. "Like, destiny?"

Alex nodded. "Yeah. Do you think that some things are just meant to be?"

I hesitated, unsure of how to answer. Did I believe in fate? I didn't know.

But as I looked into Alex's eyes, I felt a shiver run down my spine. Maybe, just maybe, some things were meant to be.

"I don't know," I said finally, looking away. "But maybe."

Alex nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Maybe," he repeated.

And with that, we rejoined our friends, the rest of the night passing in a blur of laughter and excitement.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between Alex and me, something that would change everything forever.

As we walked back to the group, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. What did Alex's question mean? Was he trying to tell me something?

I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the present moment. We rejoined our friends, who were busy arguing over which movie to see.

"I say we see the new Marvel movie," Tyler said, his eyes shining with excitement.

"No way, we should see the rom-com," Caroline countered, rolling her eyes.

Alex and I exchanged a glance, and I could sense his amusement. "I think we should let the ladies decide," he said, smiling.

Caroline grinned, triumphant. "See, Tyler, even Alex agrees with me."

Tyler scowled, but eventually relented. "Fine, we'll see the rom-com."

As we bought our tickets and entered the theater, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. This was going to be a fun night.

The movie was hilarious, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. I found myself glancing over at Alex, who was smiling and laughing along with the rest of us.

As the credits rolled, we filed out of the theater, still chuckling and discussing the movie.

"That was so much fun," Caroline exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement.

"Definitely," Tyler agreed. "Although I still think we should have seen the Marvel movie."

Alex chuckled. "Maybe next time, Tyler."

As we walked out of the theater, I realized that the night was still young. "Hey, guys, want to grab some ice cream?" I suggested.

Caroline's eyes lit up. "Yes, please."

Tyler grinned. "I'm always down for ice cream."

Alex nodded, smiling. "Sounds good to me."

We walked to a nearby ice cream shop, laughing and joking as we went. As we entered the shop, I was hit with the sweet scent of waffle cones and chocolate.

Mmm, this was going to be good.

We spent the next hour sampling different flavors and laughing together. As we left the shop, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me.

This had been a perfect night.

As we walked back to our cars, Alex fell back and walked beside me again. "Hey, Tiffany?" he said quietly.

"Yeah?" I replied, looking up at him.

"Thanks for tonight," he said, smiling. "I had a really great time."

I smiled back, feeling a flutter in my chest. "No problem, Alex. I had a great time too."

We walked in silence for a moment, the only sound being the distant hum of cars and the chirping of crickets.

Then Alex spoke up again. "Tiffany?"

"Yeah?" I replied, looking up at him.

"Forget it" he said

"Making me anxious"

And with that, we reached our cars. Alex opened the door for me, and I slid inside.

As he closed the door behind me, I felt a sense of disappointment wash over me. The night was over, and I didn't want it to end.

But as I looked up at Alex, who was standing outside my window, I felt a sense of hope. Maybe this wasn't the end of the night after all.

Maybe this was just the beginning.

"Thanks again for tonight, Tiffany," Alex said, smiling.

"No problem, Alex," I replied, smiling back. "I had a great time."

Alex nodded, his eyes locked on mine. "Me too."

And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving me to wonder what the future held for us.

As I drove home, I couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between Alex and me. Something that would change everything forever.

I didn't know what the future held, but I was excited to find out.

The next day, I woke up feeling refreshed and renewed. I had a sense of excitement and anticipation that I hadn't felt in a long time.

As I got ready for college, I couldn't help but think about Alex and our conversation the night before. What did he mean by asking me if I believed in fate?

And what did he mean by saying maybe?

I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on getting to school on time.

"Oh please don't steal my brother from me" I said

"Like you are stealing mine right" she said making me scoff

We went our separate ways because I am in science department while she's in art.

I noticed everybody staring at me, don't ask me why, cuz lecture has already began.

I walked to the back seat and rested my head on my desk.

"Hey" I heard a male voice

I raised my head just to see a cute guy sitting beside me, how could a guy carry such cologne it's alluring can't believe am saying all this Okay back to reality.

"Hi" I guess you're new, I said

"Yh" he said

"Oh sorry I forgot to ask what's your name"

He said

"Tiffany ferguson" I said and you

"Damon salvatore but Dan for short" he said

"Okay damon sound Preety okay to me" I said

"We should start going before lecture begins damon" I said and he laughed

"Why are you laughing what's funny" I said confused of his reaction

"My name sound kinda funny in your mouth" he said

"Join me in chemistry class, when you are done laughing" I said faking anger.

"Tiffy wait for me why are you running we are not late" he said running after me

"To teach you a lesson dutche bag you dare not laugh at Tiffany ferguson it's a crime" I said entering class.

As we entered the chemistry classroom, Damon chuckled and whispered, "I think I'm in trouble."

I playfully rolled my eyes and whispered back, "You have no idea."

We took our seats, and the professor began the lecture. I tried to focus, but I couldn't help sneaking glances at Damon. He was sitting next to me, his eyes fixed intently on the professor.

I noticed the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck, and the way his eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled.

I felt a flutter in my chest, and I quickly looked away. What was wrong with me? I was still thinking about Alex, wasn't I?

But as I glanced back at Damon, I couldn't help but feel a spark of attraction. Maybe this was exactly what I needed – a distraction from Alex and his confusing questions.

As the lecture ended, Damon turned to me and smiled. "So, Tiffany Ferguson, what's your next class?"

I smiled back, feeling a sense of excitement. "I have a free period. How about you?"

Damon's eyes lit up. "I have a free period too. Want to grab some lunch together?"

I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should spend more time with this charming stranger. But then I nodded, feeling a sense of adventure. "Sure, why not?"

we walked out of the classroom, Damon fell into step beside me. "So, Tiffany, tell me more about yourself."

I laughed, feeling a sense of ease with him. "What do you want to know?"

Damon grinned. "Everything."

And with that, we launched into a conversation that flowed easily, like we'd known each other for years. We talked about our favorite books, movies, and music. We shared stories about our families and friends.

As we walked across campus, the sun shining down on us, I felt a sense of joy that I hadn't felt in a long time.

Maybe this was the start of something special. Maybe Damon was the distraction I needed from Alex and his confusing questions.

As we reached the cafeteria, Damon held open the door for me. "After you, Tiffany."

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude. "Thanks, Damon."

And with that, we stepped into the cafeteria, ready to take on the rest of the day together.

As we entered the cafeteria, the noise and chaos enveloped us. Students were laughing, chatting, and clinking utensils against plates. The smell of food wafted through the air, making my stomach growl with hunger.

Damon and I joined the line, surveying the options. "What's good here?" he asked, scanning the menu.

"I'm a big fan of their chicken parmesan," I replied, making my decision.

Damon nodded, opting for the same. We ordered our food and grabbed a table by the window.

As we ate, our conversation flowed easily. We talked about our classes, our professors, and our plans for the future.

I found myself feeling more and more at ease with Damon. He was charming, witty, and seemed to genuinely listen to what I had to say.

As we finished our meal, Damon glanced at his watch. "I have a class soon, but I don't want this day to end."

I smiled, feeling a spark of attraction. "I know what you mean."

Damon leaned in, his eyes locked on mine. "Would you like to grab coffee with me later?"

My heart skipped a beat as I hesitated. I hadn't expected him to ask me out, but a part of me was excited at the prospect.

"Okay," I said finally, trying to sound casual.

Damon grinned, relief washing over his face. "Great. I'll meet you at the coffee shop on campus at 3?"

I nodded, feeling a sense of excitement. "I'll be there."

As we parted ways, I couldn't help but wonder what the rest of the day had in store. Was I really going on a date with Damon?

And what about Alex? Was I just using Damon as a distraction, or was I genuinely interested in getting to know him better?

I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the present moment. I had a date with Damon, and I was going to make the most of it.

As I walked to my next class, I felt a sense of anticipation building inside me. What would the rest of the day bring?

And what would happen when I see Alex again?
