As we sat there, hands entwined, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. It was as if the world had slowed down, and all that mattered was this moment, this feeling.

But as the silence stretched on, I knew we couldn't stay in this bubble forever. Reality would eventually intrude, and we'd have to face the consequences of Damon's past.

I squeezed his hand gently, trying to convey my support. "We'll face whatever comes next together," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Damon's eyes locked onto mine, his expression filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Tiffany," he said, his voice low and husky. "Thank you for believing in me."

I smiled, feeling a sense of determination. "I do believe in you, Damon. And I know we can get through this."

But just as I thought we were on the same page, Damon's expression changed. His eyes clouded over, and he looked away, his jaw clenched.

"What's wrong?" I asked, feeling a sense of unease.

Damon hesitated, his eyes darting around the room as if he was searching for an escape. "There's something else," he said finally, his voice rough. "Something I need to tell you."

My heart skipped a beat as I wondered what else Damon could possibly reveal. What other secrets was he hiding?

I leaned forward, my eyes locked on his. "What is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Damon took a deep breath, his eyes locked on mine. "It's about Alex," he said, his voice low and serious. "He's not who you think he is."

My mind racing with questions, I felt a sense of trepidation. What did Damon mean? What secrets was Alex hiding?

"Who is he?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Damon's eyes seemed to bore into mine, as if he was searching for something. "Alex is...was...my friend," he said finally. "We grew up together, but we had a falling out a few years ago."

I felt a surge of curiosity. What had caused the falling out?

"What happened?" I asked, my voice gentle.

Damon's expression turned somber. "Alex took away the love of my life, we dated the same guys, but I dated her first" Damon said

"What's her name" I asked, I just hope it's not what I'm thinking.

"Zoey, she was cool and beautiful, anything a guy could wish for" he said emotionally

"Am really sorry, but if she truly loved you why would she leave" I said

"She left me for Alexander because he was way richer than me and he still is" he said

"So he used money to take your love away from you" I said feeling disgusted by Alex character, I never saw him this way maybe it was the love that blinded my eye I can't believe it.

I felt a wave of anger wash over me as I thought about Alex's actions. Using money to steal someone's love away was despicable.

"How could he do that to you?" I asked, my voice filled with indignation.

Damon's eyes clouded over, and he looked away, his jaw clenched. "I don't know," he said, his voice rough. "But I do know that I'll never forgive him for what he did."

I squeezed his hand gently, trying to convey my support. "I'm so sorry, Damon," I said. "No one deserves to be treated like that."
