Chapter 258: Can I Give You A Bite?
"You know, Aisha, even though I'll never spill who I prefer—because I can't choose between you and Skadi, not when you're both so beautiful, so unique, I can tell you this."
"...I love spending time with Skadi. She's all sunshine, cozy and cheerful, always lighting up the room. Sure, she's a bit...dense sometimes, but that's what makes her so damn lovable. Her dumb little moments? They're gold, and I adore her for it."
Hearing this when she was cuddling with him made Aisha's eyes roll, her voice laced with indignation as she shoved at his chest, her cheeks blazing with embarrassment.
"Oh, great, so you're confessing your love for another girl right in front of me? Real smooth, Cassius!" She huffed, her tail thrashing under her top, her heart stung by his praise for Skadi, though a giggle betrayed her, her fingers still clinging to his shirt. "You're the worst, you know that? Praising Skadi like she's some perfect puppy while I'm sitting here, half-naked and freezing my butt off for you! What am I, chopped liver?" Her words quivered with playful outrage, her ears twitching, her heart torn between jealousy and amusement.
"Hold on, Aisha, don't get it twisted. "Cassius's gaze softened, his voice warm as he tilted her chin up, his eyes locking onto hers with quiet intensity. "Just 'cause you're not like Skadi—hell, you're pretty much her opposite, doesn't mean I like you any less."
He reassured, his thumb brushing her jaw to send a spark through her, his heart open as he spoke.
"You said earlier that your defiance, your pride, your sharp tongue when you talk to me might be a bad thing...And yeah, some guys out there? They'd hate it."
"They'd see a woman who stands tall, who challenges them, who acts like she's their equal, or better and they'd run scared. They want someone quiet, submissive, someone who doesn't make 'em feel small." His words paused, his gaze steady, watching her reaction.
Aisha's brow furrowed, her voice faltering as a pang of sadness tightened her chest, her eyes flicking up with a pitiful shimmer. "So...you're saying that's how you see it too? That I'm too much, too...arrogant?" She murmured, her fingers loosening on him, her heart bracing for disappointment, her tail stilling beneath her top.
But to her surprise, Cassius's smile widened, his voice erupting in a bright chuckle as he shook his head, his eyes glinting with mischief.
"Nah, Aisha, I'm not like those guys. I'm a weird one, you see. I love a fierce woman like you." He teased, his hand sliding to her waist, pulling her closer until their noses nearly touched, her breath catching as his heartbeat thumped against hers. "A passive girl who's all 'yes, sir, whatever you say'? That's boring...But you?"
"You're fire incarnate...You berate me, snap at me, try to put me in my place and it's the best damn thing ever!"
"A woman who can rule me, break my back for every dumb thing I do? That's my kind of happiness. You stepping all over me? Pure bliss."
His words purred with playful sincerity, his body enveloping hers, their warmth mingling in a heady, intimate pulse and in response, Aisha's eyes widened, her voice stuttering with coy hesitation as she squirmed against him, her cheeks blazing red.
"W-What are you even saying, Cassius? You...You can't mean that!" She squeaked, her heart pounding so hard she feared it might burst, her tail slipping free from her shirt in a flurry of embarrassment, swishing wildly. "You're saying you like me beause I'm...mean to you? That's crazy!"
"...Nobody wants a girl who's always hissing and clawing like some stray cat! Only a masochist would like something like that!" Her words trembled, her gaze darting away, her fingers clutching his shirt as a swirl of longing and shame tightened her chest.
"Crazy? Masochist?...Maybe." Cassius's grin deepened, his voice a husky murmur as he pulled her closer, their noses brushing, his breath warm against her lips. "But it's true, Aisha. You're my bundle of happiness, the perfect girl I didn't know I was looking for."
He marveled, his hand cupping her waist, his heart bared as he spoke.
"There's no joy greater than holding a girl as pretty as you, as fierce as you, right here in my arms. Looking into those beautiful eyes of yours, all fiery and shy at the same time?...It's unmatched."
"...Forget fancy toys or grand adventures—nothing beats this, holding the girl I love like this."
His words flowed with raw sincerity, his gaze locked on hers, his body pressed so close she felt every beat of his heart, every rise of his chest.
"You...you idiot!" Aisha's face flushed crimson, her voice a flustered whimper as she turned away, her heart racing so fast it left her dizzy, her tail thrashing in a wild dance. "Stop saying stuff like that! You can't just call me your...your happiness and expect me to know what to do with it!"
She exclaimed, her cheeks burning from ear to ear, her fingers digging into his shirt as she hid her face in his shoulder, a giddy warmth flooding her chest.
"You're too much, Cassius! Nobody's ever said anything like that to me...It's embarrassing, okay? My heart's gonna explode!"
Her words quivered with shy delight, her body trembling against his, her heart overwhelmed by his sincerity, a feeling no man had ever stirred in her before.
"Embarrassed? Good. Since you look absolutely adorable when you're all embarrassed."
Cassius's gaze softened, his voice a seductive purr as he tilted her head up, his fingers stroking her cheek to spark a shiver through her, his eyes drinking in her flushed face.
"Aisha, especially those cheeks all red and puffy. They're so cute that I can't help but wanna take a bite out of them, just like you chomped my shoulder."
"So...Can I?...Just one little nibble on this gorgeous cheek of yours?" He asked in a pleading manner, his fingers pinching her cheek lightly, his gaze smoldering with playful desire, his heart daring her to say yes.
"A...A bite? You mean…"
Aisha's eyes shimmered, her voice a shy murmur as she realized his 'bite' meant something softer, something intimate, her heart pounding at the thought.
She hesitated, her cheeks blazing, but a quiet longing stirred in her chest, his earlier words—his love, his adoration, breaking through her stone-hearted walls.
"Fine, you can...you can do it. But not too hard, okay? And don't...don't leave a mark or anything!"
She squeaked, her gaze shy but eager, her hands tightening around his waist, her heart ready to give in to him.
Seeing that he has gotten her aproval, Cassius's smirk widened, his voice a warm murmur as he pushed her hair back, revealing her flushed forehead.
"Don't worry, I'll be careful, my sweet kitten."
He reassured, his fingers brushing her hair aside, his heart swelling with her trust and then slowly, he leaned down, his breath warm against her skin, and Aisha's eyes fluttered shut, her body trembling with anticipation.
"Kiss!♡~"
His lips pressed against her cheek, cool and soft, a gentle kiss that sent a spark through her, her heart soaring as she realized this was her first kiss, a moment she'd never imagined sharing with him.
"Chu!♡~"
He lingered, his lips brushing her skin again, a second kiss softer than the first, drawing a quiet whimper from her as she clung to him tighter, her arms wrapping around his neck, her body melting into his.
"You...you're such a dummy, Cassius." She couldn't help but mutter in retaliation as her heart raced, her voice a soft murmur as she nuzzled his chest, a smile curving her lips.
In her mind, she wondered if she'd regret this, if giving her first kiss to the man she'd once called depraved was a mistake.
But the thought dissolved, her heart answering with a quiet certainty, she'd never regret this.
Cassius, for all his flaws, made her feel safe, cherished, alive in a way no one else had and that was more then enough for her to allow him to share this intimate moment with her.
"This...it feels nice. Really nice. So, don't ruin it by saying something dumb, okay?"
Her words quivered with shy delight, her body pressed closer, the starry night wrapping their tender moment in a soft, shimmering embrace...
