Depraved Noble: Forced To Live The Debaucherous Life Of An Evil Noble!

Chapter 252: Worth Every Scratch And Bite

Aisha took a breath, her voice barely audible.

"Okay...fine. I was gonna say—"

She started, but Cassius raised a hand, his voice quick.

"Hold up. I wanna do this right. You're twisting around like you're spilling a secret, and it's not working. So, let's talk face, to, face, eyes on eyes, no hiding."

Before she could protest, his hands found her waist, lifting her effortlessly, his grip firm but gentle, turning her in the saddle to face him, her small thighs resting atop his.

"Cassius! What the hell?!" Aisha yelped, her voice a panicked squeak.

Her heart raced, her body tensing as she sat facing him, their faces inches apart, her petite frame perched against his broader one. The closeness hit her like a spark, his thighs solid under hers, his warmth seeping through her robe.

But more then that, her eyes darted to the reins, her voice rising. "The horse, Cassius! There's no rider! It's gonna go wild, crash into a tree, or run off the trail!" She flailed, her hands grabbing his arms, her heart pounding with panic.

But surprisingly, Cassius's voice was calm, his smile easy.

"Relax, Aisha. I've got this." He grabbed the reins with one hand, his tone steady. "I already learned how to ride, so there's no need to worry." He snapped the reins lightly, the horse picking up a smooth pace, staying on the path.

Seeing this, Aisha's eyes widened, her voice incredulous. "How is that even possible? You said you didn't know how to ride! What's this nonsense?"

Cassius grinned, his voice smug. "I learned from watching you, Aisha. Picked it up quick, didn't I?...I guess some people are just more talented than others, you know." He winked, his tone teasing, his hand guiding the reins with confidence.

"You cocky jerk!" Aisha's voice spiked, her fist playfully thumping his chest. "Don't act like you're some prodigy now!" Her tone was slightly angry and amused at the same time, a smile breaking through as she shook her head, her heart easing.

Seeing her smile, Cassius laughed as well, his voice warm as he looked into her eyes, their closeness making the air hum.

"Alright, we're face, to, face now, Aisha. No more dodging. Go on, tell me what's on your mind. I'm all ears."

His tone was gentle, his gaze steady, urging her to open up and hearing this, Aisha hesitated, her voice faltering as his handsome face loomed so close, the moonlight catching his features, making her heart skip.

"It's...weird, okay? You might not get it, or you'll think I'm dumb." She fidgeted, her hands twisting in her lap, her eyes flicking up nervously. "But the reason I asked you all that stuff...about urges...was because I thought you hated me and I-I wanted to know if it was true."

"H-Hate you?" Cassius's jaw dropped, his voice stunned, a sarcastic smile curling his lips. "Aisha, why in the world would you think that? That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard all night!" His tone was incredulous, his head tilting as his heart was thrown by her words.

"I-It's not ridiculous!" Aisha's voice rushed out, her hands waving frantically. "I know how you are, Cassius! You're always flirting, charming every woman you see, no matter where you are! You don't let a single moment alone with a girl go to waste, you're always making moves, saying something sly, trying to win them over!"

Her tone was flustered, her eyes wide.

"S-So I thought, here we are, alone on this dark path, under the stars, and you'd have to try something, even if it was just a cheap comment to get under my skin...But you didn't! You didn't say a word, didn't even touch me, just stared at the sky like I wasn't here!"

Her voice softened, her ears drooping.

"All I could hear was the damn crickets, and it made me think...maybe you didn't care. Maybe you weren't interested, or...maybe you hated me." She said in a weak voice, like she feared it was true.

Hearing this confession, Cassius stared at her, his face blank for a moment, his eyes unreadable in the moonlight. Then a sarcastic smile curled his lips, his voice light but curious.

"Oh, and why exactly would I hate you Aisha...Come on, give me something solid, why'd you even think that?" He tilted his head, his tone teasing but laced with genuine confusion, his hands steady on the reins.

Aisha's cheeks flushed, her voice rushing out in a flustered burst as she waved her hands.

"T-There's tons of reasons, Cassius! It's obvious, isn't it? I mean, look at me!" She gestured to herself, her heart pounding, her eyes darting away. "Maybe it's bcause I'm beast, race, you know? Some people, humans especially, don't like us. They think we're barbaric or something, too wild, too different." She pointed to her twitching ears, her tail swishing behind her, her voice faltering. "Maybe you don't like these, my ears, my tail, all that. It's not exactly...human, right?"

She took a breath, her voice dropping in a embarrassed manner as she looked ar her tiny hands.

"Or maybe it's my figure. I've seen the women in your household, Cassius. They're all...b-busty, curvy, plump, you know? The kind men can't stop staring at." She glanced down at her chest, her tone shy, almost inaudible. "And then there's me...Skinny, petite, barely anything to look at. I mean, I don't even know why I bother with a bra sometimes, there's nothing there!" Her hands fidgeted, her heart sinking, her ears drooping slightly.

She then hesitated, her voice softer, more vulnerable.

"And...there's something else. I-I'm not like Skadi, all bubbly and excited, bouncing around you like some happy puppy every time she sees you."

"...I'm more like...a stray cat, hissing at you, snapping with mean comments, always pushing you away."

Her eyes flicked up to his, sorrowful and wide, her tone self, pitying.

"If someone acted like that to me, I'd probably hate them. So it's only natural you'd hate me too, right? I mean, who wouldn't?"

Her voice cracked, her heart bracing for his agreement, her hands clutching her robe, expecting him to nod or make some flimsy excuse to soften the blow.

But Cassius's reaction caught her off guard, as his head tilted back, and a loud laugh burst out, his voice rich with amusement, echoing through the quiet forest.

"A stray cat? Aisha, you're actually comparing yourself to a stray cat? Where did that pride of yours go to?" He chuckled, his shoulders shaking, his eyes glinting with hilarity. "I didn't see that one coming! You, thinking I hate you because you're not some giggling puppy or a curvy noble lady? That's the funniest thing I've heard all week!"

His laughter rolled on, his hand gripping the reins to steady himself, feeling completely tickled by her words.

Seeing him laugh so brazenly, Aisha's face burned, her voice sharp as she leaned forward. "Shut up, Cassius! I was just using it as an example! Stop laughing at me!" Her tone was indignant, her hands waving, her ears twitching with irritation.

But Cassius's laughter didn't stop, his voice bright as he shook his head. "Oh, come on, Aisha, it's too good! A stray cat! I can see you now, all claws and hisses, prowling around like you own the place!"

He grinned, his eyes sparkling, but then his expression softened, his voice dropping to a sincere murmur as he leaned closer, their faces inches apart.

"But you know what, Aisha? I like stray cats...I actually don't mind if they scratch or bite a little. I mean, it takes some work to tame 'em, sure, but when they finally come around, they're the sweetest, most loyal things you'll ever meet."

"...Worth every single scratch and bite."

His tone was warm, his gaze steady, the implication hanging in the air like a spark.
