Chapter 72: Chapter 72: His cat is a freeloader!
Raven let a small cackle free as he looked down at a building being made in the middle of nowhere. It was specifically being made ontop of a mountain, which get hollowed out later.
It was to house a very much long term project. His most ambitious project at the moment.
Project Comet.
It would incorporate almost everything from Project Damocles once it was finished, and then even more stuff would be added on.
Boom
Raven sighed and waved his hand preventing the explosion from effecting his workers. Another wave of his hand had the dangerous stuff in the designated working area removed through warding and a bogus amount of magic spells.
With a pleased nod, he gave Aria control of the wards and took off, he had to check on one more thing before returning to Hogwarts.
•~~~~•
Raven appeared in front of an abandoned house and frowned. He was currently in Japan, specifically Tokyo.
The wards he had put had been tripped recently, and he really didn't like that. No one was supposed to be able to cross the area beside himself. He had locked the area by his soul. So only HE should be able to enter.
With a wave of his hand he cast a diagnostic spell and the results just made him frown further. It said he had been here twice recently, it was undoubtedly his soul, but it wasn't at the same time.
The first signature felt like his own, but muddled and slightly different texture to it.
The second felt like his soul was wrapped around someone else's. It was a very weird and annoying feeling, because he had no idea what that was.
"I'll come back later." He muttered darkly as he cast a few spells and wards on the area and then vanished in a portal.
In the distance a set of eyes watched, one blue and one yellow. The person was smiling insanely before disappearing.
•~~~~•
Raven sighed as he appeared in his room and landed on his bed, his favorite pet cat was curled up above his pillow, her red eyes staring at him with slight annoyance as she batted her paw at him.
He smiled and gently rubbed her fur. She melted under his touch and was purring away.
"If anything happened to you, I would sacrifice countless souls to resurrect you." Raven mumbled as he held her close to him, a dark gleam in his eyes as he said that.
The cat froze momentarily before purring away again.
•~~~~•
Raven let a pleased hum out as he dug a hole in the ground with a shovel. A large pile of dirt laid on the side.
"Foundation area complete." He mumbled as he created a large bag of gravel and started pouring.
What was he doing?
Making his own little vacation cabin. He had bought the land under a different identity. The area was warded to hell and back, and then beyond.
"Ok, so if I remember correctly, now I pour the concrete and even it flat out." Raven mumbled as he started using telekinesis to place the concrete down and smooth it over.
Once he was pleased it was perfectly flat and symmetrical, he created a hot flame above it to increase the drying speed.
•~~~~•
Raven hummed as he was treating the wood to be of use for a cabin. Water proofing it and carving a few rune clusters into the wood to enhance it.
"That was the last one, now to get to work." Raven nodded pleased with himself before he grabbed two logs and put them over his shoulder and started getting to work. Normally he'd use magic to stick everything together in such a build, but in case of an anti magic barrier or something similar was up, he wanted to prevent his home from breaking apart.
•~~~~•
"Finished." Raven wiped a small bead of sweat from his brow as he examined his new cabin. He had even made his own furniture for the cabin.
A couch, bed and table. Plus a smaller rounde table outside with an umbrella and four chairs.
It was a very simple cabin.

"I'm very much pleased with this." Raven nodded his head and then he sealed up the cabin and teleported away, he'd come back eventually.

(The rest of this chapter will be a bit weird since it will be in the first person point of view for Raven. It will really help this specific chapter in how I plan for this to go. Also gives a view into his alien mindset.)
You know when I returned to Hogwarts after a day of building a cabin, I didn't think I would be asked to assist in teaching defense against the dark arts right away.
Apparently the werewolf was struggling, but I supposed it did make sense, the full moon was tonight.
Now that I think about it, why does the full moon cause werewolves to transform uncontrolled? They are capable of changing on their own, so why can't they just change back during the moon?
Kill them all
I sighed in annoyance as I heard the ever familiar whispers in the back of my mind, they had become increasingly familiar since my evolution.
Gaia, the consciousness of the planet. A being who was originally one being with Alyla, but split into two when unsure how to deal with protecting the earth and humanity. So two beings were made from one.
Gaia, the will of planet earth. The planets intrinsic wish to survive and prosper.
Alyla, the collective unconscious of mankind to avoid extinction.
One whispered to destroy humanity, and one whispered to prevent it.
Save humanity
It really was annoying, but I supposed it's better then the other voices I've had in my head, and normally I can easily suppress the whisperes to a different part of my head so I can't hear them. Sometimes they slip in though to my annoyance.
"You two are annoying." I muttered aloud before sighing as I walked into the classroom and waved at the werewolf.
Though I supposed now that I think about it, I can crack jokes that the two voices in my head want me to kill and save. One to kill humans, the other to save them. It's like split personality disorder… no wait, that's exactly what it is.
Shit.
I'd love to go one year without voices in my head. Is that too much?
"Raven, thank you for agreeing to help last minute, I'm just not feeling too well at the moment." The werewolf said and I hummed as I shifted through his class notes.
"It's fine, just make sure you drink your potion Lupin." I said since I didn't want to get saddled with handling the lessons for the whole year or till Albus got a replacement.
He froze momentarily before nodding.
Oh, I guess the werewolf didn't notice I was aware. Oh well, that's his fault. He quickly made his way out the room.
I sighed as I watched the brats start making their way into the classroom, second years, so this ought to be fun.
"Today's lesson is on shields, when to use them and their practicality over dodging." I spoke aloud once I took roll.

Teenagers suck, humanity was weird and annoying, and sometimes just wiping a few million of them out sounded nice, I mean it's just a few million and not like billions of them.
Wouldn't even be hard, just go around nuking cities and searching for life. Honestly it would be easy to do, sure a few might survive, but I'd find them eventually.
Now if I could just-
Cold. Why was it cold? The hallway was freezing over. Why was it freezing!?
Why do I-
"I'll search endlessly for you."
Where was-
"I promise you that, with me here, you will never be alone."
This voice?
"I promise you my son, I will protect you no matter what."
Mom? Why? Why am I hearing her voice?
"This is what you get for rejecting me for centuries you stupid bitch."
This bastard-!
"Enjoy little bastard, I promise I'll be back to ensure you don't live easily."
Again, haven't you made my life miserable enough already you damn bastard!?
"It's ok to be emotional."
This voice, why does it bring me such relief and soothing-ness.
"Just remember, emotions are apart of us, but if you let them control you, then you aren't you anymore."
Who are you?
"Khhhhh… khhhkhhh… ah-hah… ah-hah-hah…"
Where was the creepy laughter from?
"Tasty soul, I sense a tasty and bright soul. Must consume."
A dementor. One somehow got INTO Hogwarts on its own.
"E-e-e-expecto patronum." I stuttered out, and the only thing that appeared was a bit of sputtering light from my wand which fell from my hand and onto the ground.
Come on do something damnit!
"Tasty soul is close."
"Don't ever give up my little flame."
Who?-
Focus! Don't let the memories distract you, if I can't draw out a Patronus, I'll burn it down-
Why can't I draw on my magic? No, I'm too scared to draw on it, heh.
Is this how I die? Getting my soul sucked out by some cheap demon knockoff thing.
I think I'd have liked to burn a city or two down in a fight to the death beforehand…
"No! Stop…" I tried to force my body to move as I saw Izzy appear running at the dementor. "Not my cat." I whispered in horror, it was just my life, but you can't take her! Not her!
With the most effort I've ever put in, I launched a blast of fire at the dementor, and it just let a dark cackle out as it floated through the flames burning away even the stone.
"Ahh… ahaha—AHHHH-HAHAHAHA!"
At some point as it kept moving forward, I think I started losing consciousness and my sanity was slipping as I wasn't sure who was laughing, the dementor or me.
Oh hey, I just realized, I don't have sanity! Take that you asshoes!
"Focus on me." I heard a voice, but shrugged it off, I hear lots of voices, especially right now.
"Meow!"
That sound it's familiar, the sound of a cat being hurt… oh hey I have a cat named Izzy…
MY CAT IS HERE AND HURT!
In a sudden rush of adrenaline and sanity, I saw something bizarre. My cat started glowing golden before their form shifted into a beautiful woman with white hair and red eyes.
Oh, my cat is a woman.
My cats a freeloading woman.
"In the name of myself, Izanami-no-Mikoto, Goddess of The Underworld, Lady of Yomi, I command you to leave this castle immediately." She spoke, no, she ordered the dementor. Divine words as the queen of the underworld she presided over.
The dementor ignored her and kept moving forward.
"You leave me no choice then." She spoke and then stepped in front of the dementor and shoved her hand into its chest and crushed something as the dementor faded away and a ton of small lights started floating around, I recognized them as souls.
They're so beautiful.
"Raven are you ok?"
Oh? She's talking to me.
"My cat is a stupid freeloading goddess!?"
Stupid brain! I meant to say thank you! Not be an asshole! Why!?
She stared at me with tears before she vanished in some gold dust.
Fuck.
I messed up, stupid brain.
I need to fix this, but first I need to figure out how to suppress this reaction to dementors. I can't deal with this, a single one caused this, I can't imagine multiple of them together.
First a Power Nap, and then a visit to Hades and Persephone to figure this the fuck out.
A grunt of exertion had a portal open below me and let me fall into my cabin as I closed my eyes and felt my consciousness fade away.
•~~~~•~~~~•~~~~•
So this was something I was a bit unsure how I wanted it to go, I had written it five times in third person, but it didn't catch the way I wanted to for Raven's fear reaction, the casualness of how he deals with voices in his head, the alien reaction to dealing with them compared to normal people.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, also tell me if you enjoyed the first person style of this chapter and I might do some more of them in the future.
Until next time friends and dear readers!
Bye~
