Chapter 158: Subjugation Complete!
[Ding!]
[You've subjugated a Re-Blessed Felinid, Bastet (Level 20).]
[Subjugated monster girls: 1/3]
As the system's notifications rang in his mind, Kaiden knew his life was going to be changed forever. He debated if broadcasting this, or even doing it in the first place, was a smart idea, and even now, he wasn't certain.
All he knew was that he and his girls harbored big dreams, and each of them was willing to undertake great risks to get there. They'd already decided they would live the lives of stars instead of hiding away in the shadows, slowly, measuredly accumulating their strength with calculated steps.
Doing so wasn't the ideal path in their opinion, for their power was to be derived from ranking up the system. Simply leveling up wasn't enough.
Speaking of…
[To rank the system up to the third rank, the host needs to reach…]

*Pahh!*
With a rather obscene sound, his tongue and lips detached from Bastet's, who was busy spooning against his member with great desperation.
"We gotta get dressed, Bastet. It's time to leave."
"Must we…?" she whimpered while latching her arms around his neck and legs around his waist, refusing to let go. "Also, what do you mean leave? Leave where?"
Kaiden observed her keenly for a brief moment, finding her statement strange, before sighing. "We'll discuss it later. We can't delay any longer."
"Yes, Master…" Bastet purred with a sad tone, but hearing the urgency in his voice, the Ra-Blessed Felinid knew time was of the essence. As such, she only nuzzled her face against his for a few brief seconds before letting go and climbing off.
Kaiden thanked the viewers for watching and assured them they'd be back with more content soon enough before ending the broadcast. He didn't bother editing the boss encounter, knowing full well people will be demanding the full tape soon enough, anyhow. If that wasn't enough of a reason, the fact that this video was hour-long and counted as adult content meant that the longer duration would help him farm stats for the system better.
He observed his current stats.

Kaiden was brought out of his thoughts when Jack shouted at him angrily. "What the fuck, man?! Now there's no boss monster loot or XP! How do you plan to reimburse us all?"
A portal opened right as he finished his accusation, signaling the cleared status of the dungeon. Such portals opened in the boss chambers after the monster fell. In this case, that didn't happen. But Bastet did indeed fall, just in a different manner… Kaiden theorized that she was no longer considered a monster but a free entity like any other human from Earth, no longer locked in the dungeon. She became a normal person, just with a different race instead of human.
But Jack was right. Kaiden's method of defeating Bastet didn't reward any of them with XP or loot. As for monster loot, well, this dungeon plain sucked. Virgin dungeons like this one were highly sought after because the first time a monster was defeated, they had a small chance to drop items after dematerializing. Once they respawned, the loot would not be dropped.
However, this dungeon was a horrible source of monster loot drops. Mainly because this dungeon's main challenge wasn't even the monsters found inside but the extreme heat of the desert biome. The scorching sun itself almost ended the dungeon descent.
The second reason was that for a D-rank dungeon, there weren't too many monsters present. It was likely that the environment itself played a role in its high difficulty setting.
Thirdly, the loot that did drop was basically junk trash. Some weren't even worthy enough to be picked up by the dungeon aides. And as two out of four helpers fell, the valuables they had been carrying were lost alongside their lives.
All that is to say, the haul of this dungeon was horrendous. 9 lives were lost, while Leon and Dorothy suffered life-threatening wounds. Jack and the others hoped the monster would drop a fancy gearset, weapon, or other artifact while granting them multiple levels' worth of XP for their troubles.
Based on Bastet's high difficulty, that was likely indeed the case, but…
"Sucks to be you, I suppose," Luna sneered. She hated Nova Circuit's members with a burning passion. To be more precise, Jack, Vaelira, and Sasha were the ones she was beefing with.
The blonde-haired, A-tier Arcane Puppeteer didn't like what she was hearing. She straightened her spine after administering first aid to Dorothy and looked at the purple-haired girl with a strong glare. "I'm afraid this won't pass."
"Now, now…" Nyx purred with a sly smile. "Your guild leader, Tessa, promised us a third of the haul as payment for our services, alongside reimbursing us for any gear that got damaged during the dungeon clear. Being the magnanimous group of people we are, Valhalla's Sinners are prepared to donate our share of the loot to Nova Circuit."
She made a dramatic pause, placing a thoughtful finger on her cheek. "We'll even waive our reimbursement, out of the kindness of our hearts."
Luna snorted, knowing full well that Nyx was enjoying this way too much.
The pink-haired, curvaceous bombshell of a woman continued with a honeyed tone. "In return, we'll just be taking one thing. A small souvenir. A single piece of the dungeon."
Her eyes gleamed with glee as she raised a hand and gestured toward Bastet, who stood beside Kaiden with her arms crossed in front of her chest and her tail swishing lazily behind her. She was observing the conversation with obvious confusion, not understanding what they were talking about.
"We'll take her. Bastet will be our cut."
Sasha scoffed with annoyance, flipping her fiery red hair over her shoulder as she stomped on the sandy floor of the boss chamber. "Oh, please! That's not a deal but an extortion wrapped in sweet honey. Especially when none of your armor is worth more than garbage-tier scrap. Common-rarity junk. And the monsters? Didn't drop a damn thing of value."
She smirked as if she'd just laid down the trump card. "You want fair? Sell the boss monster. Two-thirds of the profit goes to us, and you keep a third."
