DBZ : Original Timeline Gohan

Fusion Zamasu, the terrifying union of Goku Black and Zamasu via the Potara earrings, stood amidst the dissipating smoke. The fusion was seamless—perfect, even. Unlike typical Potara fusions that risked eventual separation, this one was stable. Because Goku Black and Zamasu were fundamentally the same person—different facets of the same corrupted soul—their fusion posed no threat of disintegration. Their combined power surged exponentially, creating an aura so suffocating it bent the very fabric of reality.

Zamasu stepped forward, exuding godly confidence. His appearance was a striking blend of both warriors: white Super Saiyan hair cascaded down his back, almost reminiscent of Ultra Instinct, though his malicious aura dispelled any such comparison. His skin retained its unnatural green hue, a stark contrast to the dark, fitted combat suit trimmed in blood-red. White combat boots completed his divine, yet menacing, appearance.

He spread his arms wide, his voice dripping with arrogance. "Behold! The one true God of the universe—Zamasu—is born!"

Goku and Vegeta stood side by side, their faces grave. Beads of sweat trickled down their foreheads as they stared at the monstrous fusion before them.

Potara fusion…

It wasn't unfamiliar to them. Years ago, during their desperate battle against Majin Buu, they had used the Potara earrings themselves. The result had been Vegito, a warrior of unparalleled strength who turned the tide of that hopeless battle.

They knew better than anyone just how powerful a fusion could be.

Zamasu sneered, his body levitating effortlessly into the air. Then, without warning, he vanished from sight.

Before Goku or Vegeta could react, Zamasu reappeared between them, delivering two devastating blows with god-like speed and precision.

BANG!

The sound of fists meeting flesh echoed through the battlefield. Neither Goku nor Vegeta had even seen the attack coming.

Agonizing pain erupted in their abdomens as they crumpled to the ground, clutching their stomachs. The force of the blow was so intense that both instantly reverted from their Super Saiyan God forms to their base states, black-haired and gasping for breath.

"Ack…!" Goku coughed violently.

"Damn it!" Vegeta spat through clenched teeth, half-kneeling with a ferocious expression. "That… that speed…"

Goku's face twisted with pain. "When… when did he even move?"

From the sidelines, Trunks watched in horror, his heart pounding in his chest. "W-What just happened? I didn't even see him move! Did… did he attack already?"

A calm voice cut through the tension. "Yes, he did."

Trunks turned sharply to see Son Gohan standing nearby, arms crossed, a faint smile playing on his lips. His relaxed demeanor contrasted sharply with the chaos unfolding before them.

"Brother Gohan, you saw that?" Trunks asked, his voice filled with disbelief.

Gohan chuckled lightly. "Of course. He's just a little stronger than before. It's nothing to worry about."

Trunks blinked, unsure of how to respond. But Gohan's nonchalant attitude somehow eased the tension in his chest. If Gohan wasn't worried, maybe there was still hope.

Meanwhile, Zamasu floated above Goku and Vegeta, reveling in his newfound power.

"Haha! This is the power of the Potara earrings!" he declared, his laughter growing more maniacal with each passing second. "So this… this is what true fusion feels like!"

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

"Hahahaha, hahahaha!"

"Marvelous! Simply marvelous! HAHAHA!"

Vegeta's eyes blazed with fury. "Hmph! You think you've won just because you landed one hit?" He gritted his teeth, forcing himself to stand. "Good. Now I can take you both down at once!"

With a loud shout, Vegeta's aura exploded into a brilliant blue flame. He ascended into his Super Saiyan Blue form, his energy surging to new heights. Without wasting another second, he rocketed towards Zamasu, fists poised for attack.

But Zamasu only sneered, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Overestimating yourself, Saiyan."

In a blur of motion, Zamasu swung his fists at a speed imperceptible to the naked eye.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Every single punch connected with brutal precision. Vegeta had no chance to dodge, no time to counter. The relentless assault sent him flying, blood spraying from his mouth as he crashed into the ground below.

"VEGETA!!!" Goku shouted, panic rising in his chest.

Trunks clenched his fists tightly, his heart sinking as he watched his father struggle to rise. His hand instinctively moved to the broken hilt of his sword strapped to his back.

Zamasu chuckled darkly. "Heh. This body moves flawlessly… as expected from our fusion."

Goku's eyes narrowed, his fists tightening until his knuckles turned white. The rage bubbling inside him reached its boiling point.

"You… you BASTARD!!!"

With a furious roar, Goku powered up, his aura bursting into the familiar blue flame of Super Saiyan Blue. The ground beneath him cracked from the sheer force of his energy as he launched himself at Zamasu with everything he had.

But Zamasu was unfazed. He raised a single hand, effortlessly redirecting Goku's flurry of attacks. Every punch, every kick—rendered useless.

"AHHHHH!" Goku roared, pushing his Super Saiyan Blue power to its absolute limit, unleashing his strongest attack.

But Zamasu smirked. With a fluid motion, he circled his hands, creating a vortex that twisted Goku's momentum against him. In an instant, Goku's body was flipped mid-air and slammed into the ground with bone-crushing force. The impact shattered the earth beneath him, sending shockwaves across the battlefield.

Zamasu floated down, his expression smug. "Son Goku, your speed is laughable now. It's as if you're moving in slow motion."

He sneered, stepping closer to Goku's crumpled form. "Where's all that bravado now? Weren't you the one calling me weaker than Trunks?"

But Goku wasn't done yet.

With a sudden burst of energy, Goku thrust his hands forward.

"KAMEHAMEHA!!!"

A brilliant blue beam erupted from his palms, engulfing Zamasu in a wave of devastating energy. The fusion's eyes widened in surprise as the blast consumed him.

The sheer force of the attack obliterated half of Zamasu's body, turning it into ash.

Goku panted heavily, his body trembling from exhaustion. "Did… did it work?"

Vegeta, still struggling to his feet, stared at the smoldering crater where Zamasu once stood. "It… it worked?"

But their relief was short-lived.

From the smoke and debris, Zamasu's laughter echoed, chilling them to the bone. His disintegrated body began to regenerate, the missing half reforming effortlessly.

"HAHAHAHA! Marvelous!" Zamasu roared, his voice dripping with sadistic glee. "I see… I've inherited immortality from the fusion as well!"

Goku and Vegeta were speechless, their hope crumbling before their eyes.

Zamasu stretched out his hand towards them, and both Saiyans suddenly felt an invisible force clutching their throats. They gasped for air as they were lifted into the sky, their bodies dangling helplessly.

"Urgh… let… let us go…!" Goku choked, his legs kicking in mid-air.

Zamasu sneered. "Hmph. Let's see just how far my power has grown."

Goku's face turned red as he struggled, coughing violently. "V-Vegeta… this… this doesn't look good."

Vegeta, his own throat constricted, gritted his teeth. "Damn it… this bastard's not only stronger… but immortal too. How do we beat something like this?"

Goku's mind raced. "Wait… Gohan… where's Gohan?!"

Vegeta's eyes widened. "Son Gohan?"

It was only then they remembered—the mysterious, powerful Son Gohan had been watching the entire time.

But before they could even call out to him, Zamasu roared.

"HAAAAAAAAA!"

A wave of dark, purple energy burst from his body, blanketing the sky and earth in malevolent light. The sheer force of it made the ground quake and the air tremble.
