They were shocked as they saw Regasus and Lir falling from the top of the secret rooms window.

With much effort Regasus cast a spell just before they hit the dust to their near deaths. "Herat!!!"

He coughed blood and with the last of his strength casting another spell turning he and the prince's invisible "Hekai!"

"What has happened?" Tyr and his brothers surrounded them as Regasus spat blood.

"Run your highnesses the Emperor has been betrayed."

They seized their breaths "What of Ara and Roriath?" Myth questioned trying to maintain his composure.

"Prince Ara is the traitor."

Fear overshadowed them " I don't understand what you are saying...are you insinuating..." Alivara gasped "This is Treason."

"Capture lord Regasus, the royal consorts and the prince's by order of his highness Ara Atlas Roveriasazar." a knight roared.

An army marched out of the palace, "We must get out of here now."

Regasus whispered "If we spilt up they won't be able to capture us all, I will use the power of the blood vein to take you to the tunnel entrances, from there find an Alcon with dragon marks they will protect you."

"How can you be sure?" Kael growled in a low tune.

"Exactly, we've been following you all this while and look were it got us." Kirin snarled.

Fox frowned adding "isn't blood vein magic dangerous? it will kill off your magic roots and leave you powerless."

Regasus sighed he sense their fear his judgement had been terribly clouded but that just showed that the end was near "It's no time to think whether you should follow me or not, my duty is to protect you."

"I will teleport all of us out of here with my last strength, follow the path of the tunnels to the eight markets you will find an entrance in each market. If you go underground no one will see you."

Alivara looked worried "You're pale Regasus if you push yourself any further you might damage you magical core or worse you may die."

"Also we can't exactly charge into the market in royal robes." Lael protested releasing a dramatic sigh.

"It's a bad idea it's literally waving a flag at the royal guards." Helios scoffed.

A soft voice came from behind them "Lord Regasus?" Brielle hastened towards them carrying a bag. "Are you alright my Lord? you've been accused of treason."

"Treason?" Regasus repeated shocked.

One because she could see them although he knew her ruby eyes were not normal he hadn't expected her to be something of a witch.

"I have failed." he muttered underneath his breath.

She looked around hiding in her cloak as she spoke.

Her face was a mess blood and dirt clinging to some parts of her hair and dress.

it was clear that she definitely hadn't had a rosy experience the past few days "Yes, that evil crown prince accused you of being a traitor."

Brielle huffed " He said you murdered the emperor and conceded with the black knights." She spoke furiously.

"What of Augustus?" he asked

She shook her head a sullen look in her eyes "He has been killed my Lord, protecting me." She wiped bitter tears.

The princes and concubine looked hopeless, shoulders slumped in defeat.

Regasus fingers dug into his palm "Do you have any spare clothes we could borrow?"

"Well, yes, but what does that have to do with the matter?" She enquired.

Regasus eagerly took them"We have to escape of course."
