dark descendent lurking fate

Chapter 66: Sovereign cocoon

1. The Realm of Silence

Ash stood at the entrance of a secluded realm—a hidden fissure between worlds, accessible only through the residue left behind by extinct thrones. The land stretched quiet, untouched, a vast barren plain with blue-white grass, silver mountains in the distance, and an endless golden sky that shimmered without a sun.

Shen Mu's voice echoed in his mind.

> "This place was once a battlefield of throne warlords. The air here still remembers what the heavens try to forget."

Ash found the center—an altar of smooth obsidian surrounded by nine broken pillars, each with cracks filled with spiritual energy.

> "This is where you must try."

---

2. The Price of Fusion

Ash sat cross-legged, placing a spirit mark from each of his nine spirits before him:

Vulcan, the master blacksmith.

Mrit, the rampaging bull.

Gorran, the golden bone ape.

Yin Yang Lion, the balance incarnate.

Vyren, tier 7 thunder beast.

Two Green Dragons, guardians of the altar.

Two Storm Eagles, lords of sky and precision.

And around him, the three thrones—Necromancer's Throne, Beast King's Throne, and Howling Gust Throne—materialized like ghostly relics of divine war.

> "You may die," Shen Mu warned.

"No being has ever housed three thrones and nine spirits in one soul."

> "Then I'll be the first," Ash replied.

He placed his palms over the obsidian, and with a deep breath, poured all of his spiritual energy into it.

---

3. The Breaking Begins

The ground shook.

The thrones glowed.

His body screamed.

Each throne pushed against the others—like kings refusing to share one kingdom.

The spirits howled within his soul, fighting to avoid dissolution.

> "You are ours!" Vulcan thundered.

"I do not bow!" Mrit roared.

"Merge or perish," the Yin Yang Lion growled.

His mind bled. His spirit tore at the seams.

But Ash held firm.

He called their names.

He invoked his bond.

He reminded them—

> "You are all me."

---

4. The Eye of the Storm

In the heart of chaos, Ash's body lifted from the ground.

Winds howled. Thunder clashed. Shadow and flame wrapped his form.

The three thrones began to interlock above him—first resisting, then blending.

A three-point crown appeared in the air:

Bone and obsidian (Necromancer)

Stormsteel and cloud (Wind)

Fangs and fur (Beast King)

Then, the spirits—one by one—shattered into motes of golden light.

But instead of fading, they were absorbed.

Into Ash's arms. His heart. His spine. His breath.

Their power, instincts, talents—all were engraved into his being.

No longer spirits he summoned.

Now they were part of him.

---

5. The Throne Ascension

The moment the last spirit was absorbed, Ash roared.

A wave of divine force surged across the secluded realm.

The ground cracked.

The sky split.

The mountains bowed.

The three thrones now rotated above him as one—no longer separate. They merged into a Triune Throne:

> A throne of wind, bone, and beast.

With chains made of storms, wings of shadow, and claws of gold.

And on it, a mark appeared—a singular emblem that no realm had ever recorded.

> "This… is your true throne," Shen Mu said in awe.

"A Sovereign Throne."

Ash's aura exploded.

From Core Vein Formation...

Straight to Sovereign Throne Initiate—a stage beyond Throne Manifestation, once thought mythical.

---

6. The Realm Cracks… Again

But with that growth came consequence.

The secluded realm began to tremble and break.

Shen Mu hissed,

> "The heavens have sensed it. You must leave now."

Ash's new throne burned behind him like a second sun.

He clenched his fists.

His body was no longer just a host.

It was now a fusion of spirit and throne.

He took one step and vanished—space warped around him like silk.
