dark descendent lurking fate

Chapter 61: Thunderborn challenger

1. The Second Phase Begins

The skies that once screamed in lightning now fell into a strange, deathly silence.

Ash stood tall, spiritual pressure wrapping around his body like a second skin. The nine spirits had formed a ring behind him—guardians of their Monarch.

Then the air twisted.

The clouds didn't rumble.

They spoke.

> "Mortal… you dare challenge the divine order?"

The voice wasn't thunder.

It was the will of the heavens.

And it descended.

---

2. The Birth of the Thunder Judge

From the eye of the storm, violet lightning twisted into shape.

Muscles forged from bolts.

Eyes of crackling stars.

A figure walked out—ten feet tall, pulsing with divinity.

> "I am Zeryon, the Thunder Judge."

Ash narrowed his eyes.

> "Another puppet."

Zeryon raised his hand—and the skies wept.

Bolts of divine lightning shattered the air.

> "Your arrogance has no place in the heavens."

Ash braced himself—but before he could even move—

---

3. The Roar That Shook the Realms

A voice thundered behind Ash.

> "Enough."

The Yin Yang Lion stepped forward, eyes glowing like twin suns—one black, one white.

Zeryon didn't even get to react.

With a movement faster than sound, the Yin Yang Lion lunged—his massive jaws opening wide, swallowing thunder, sky, and all of Zeryon's divine glow.

> BOOM.

Zeryon didn't scream. He was simply... gone.

The violet sky trembled. The clouds shivered.

And then—everything shattered.

---

4. The Thrones Feast

From the heavens above, the divine essence of Zeryon rained down—not as lightning, but as pure power.

Three thrones in Ash's soul sea shuddered.

The Necromancer's Throne devoured the fading will of judgment.

The Beast Monarch Throne drank the broken pride of the Thunder Judge.

The Howling Gust Throne inhaled the chaos of the ruined sky.

All three thrones glowed brilliantly.

Ash's body arched as rivers of golden-violet light poured into him.

> He wasn't being tested anymore. He was being rewritten.

---

5. Shen Mu Watches in Fear and Awe

Shen Mu's voice, for once, was trembling.

> "That... that wasn't just tribulation."

> "That was a sentient law of heaven. A guardian of balance. A thunderborn immortal..."

He looked at Ash, now suspended in midair as the thrones revolved behind him like galaxies.

> "And he... devoured it."

---

6. A New Kind of Monarch

Ash floated down slowly. His robes fluttered, untouched by gravity. His breathing was slow. His eyes glowed with fragments of black, gold, and green—necromancy, beast, and wind.

He opened his palm.

A single spark of violet thunder still danced across his fingertips.

> "Is it over?"

Shen Mu didn't respond right away.

Then…

> "You have three thrones."

> "You have nine spirits."

> "And now... you've absorbed a piece of Heaven's Will."

> "You are no longer mortal."
