Chapter 73: Chapter 73: Fangirl+1
"I took them to the arena. Those two girls wanted to see the strength of the Sol family. I've already dealt with the older sister, so it's your turn to handle the younger one."
"What about the gate?" Yone asked.
"Don't worry. At this hour, no one will come. Just lock the door," Sett reassured him.
Yone was momentarily uncertain.
"Btw, the Captain specifically asked me to bring them into the family. I heard it was the boss's idea." Sett added, referencing their God, Sol. Unlike others, Sett often referred to Sol simply as "the boss."
Riveria tried to correct it a few times at first, but she gave up when she saw it wasn't working.
Yone raised an eyebrow. "What does Sol-sama think of this? Do I just need to defeat the Amazon sisters?"
"Exactly. Both sisters should be LV3, so don't let your guard down," Sett cautioned.
"LV3, huh? That's impressive. Thanks for the reminder; I'll be careful." Yone nodded. "You can keep an eye on the gate for a while."
Yone grabbed his weapon, briefly glanced at Finn and Loki standing outside, and headed toward the arena. His pace was steady, and by the time he arrived, Tiona was already resting against her sister, nearly falling asleep.
At the sound of footsteps, she stirred, her eyes blinking open.
Yone's imposing presence immediately drew the sisters' attention. His tall frame and striking demeanor left a powerful impression.
Tione could feel her sister's subtle intake of breath beside her.
That cool, commanding aura suddenly stirred something in Tiona's heart.
'How did I not notice this before? Orario really has some handsome men around. What a shame.'
Tiona mentally scolded herself. After all, she was still young. If she was an adult amazon, she would be ready to pounce on the man in front of them.
Who says Amazons only like strong men? Yone's handsome face is definitely a hit with them too...
She quickly checked herself, feeling flustered.
'What a handsome uncle. What should I do about this?'Tiona thought, her mind in turmoil.
"Let me introduce myself. I'm Yone, a member of the Sol family, just like Sett. So, who's my opponent?" He said coolly.
"I-I, I'm Tiona. This is my sister, Tione. Hello, Uncle Yone!" Tiona stammered. Her tone was noticeably more cheerful than it had been when she spoke to Sett earlier.
Yone nodded indifferently, uninterested in how they addressed him. He casually pulled two training swords from the rack.
"Are you ready? I'll do my best to avoid targeting your vital points," he said, adopting a ready stance.
"You can start anytime. I won't show mercy just because you're handsome, Uncle," Tiona declared boldly.
"Just do your best," Yone replied.
As soon as his voice dropped, Yone slid toward Tiona with a swift step and swung his sword in an upward arc.
The speed of his attack was so fast that Tiona could barely follow it with her eyes. Before she could react, the sword tip was already near her.
Although the attack hadn't physically struck her, the gleam of the blade reflected in her eyes, making her feel as if her skin had been grazed.
She instinctively wanted to block with her large sword, but her body automatically moved back, creating distance from Yone.
'Tiona, you're careless!'
She realized if she had been injured in that first strike, her earlier bravado would have been utterly embarrassing.
"Nice speed..." Yone muttered, his gaze narrowing slightly. With a powerful turn of his body, he swung the sword again, this time using the momentum from his movement to launch a second strike.
This time, the blade of his long sword seemed even longer, and it cut through the air with a deadly force.
The sword light flashed red as it slashed toward Tiona's abdomen.
Yone skillfully used the back of the blade to strike, otherwise Tiona would have been seriously injured.
Tiona took a step back, bringing her own round sword down in a counterattack.
She thought she had a clear hit, but just as her sword was about to meet its target, she noticed a second sword suddenly appear above her head.
With a swift flick of his wrist, Yone blocked her blow effortlessly, his sword perfectly positioned above her.
Tiona, realizing her momentary advantage, decided to press harder. She tried to stabilize herself and force him down.
But Yone, with his wealth of combat experience, wasn't so easily overpowered. Using both swords, he quickly dodged and countered, landing a third strike that was swift and precise.
This time, he didn't hold back—his sword tip came directly for Tiona's throat.
Despite her quick reflexes, Tiona found herself unable to move fast enough. She leaned back, but the sword tip was almost touching her skin, frozen in place just before contact.
Tiona, watching in awe, finally understood the terrifying skill behind Yone's swordsmanship. With just a small movement, her life could have been taken.
'I can feel the cold of the blade...' Tiona thought, frozen in fear. She didn't dare to move, terrified that any slight movement would result in her premature end.
"Let's stop here. I think that's enough," Yone said, sheathing his sword with practiced ease, oblivious to the change in the expressions of the sisters.
"Mr. Yone—when I join the family, can I ask you to be my master? I want to learn that handsome swordsmanship!" Tiona blurted out, rushing to stand in front of him.
Her expression was one of pure admiration, like a fangirl before her idol. Tione, watching from nearby, felt a strange sensation.
'Does my sister have a side like this?'
"My sword techniques might not suit you," Yone replied with his usual calm demeanor. "I'd suggest trying heavy weapons instead."
Though he maintained his indifferent attitude, he still took the time to explain. After all, if Tiona became a member of the family, it wouldn't hurt to be patient.
This was Yone's true nature—steady, self-disciplined, and precise. However, after being influenced by demonic power, his nature had become far more ruthless.
But despite these changes, he remained the one person Riveria didn't need to worry about.
"But I still want to be like you..." Tiona insisted.
As she said this, she mimicked Yone's previous sword posture, her body brimming with enthusiasm.
Her excitement was so evident that even Yone couldn't help but glance at her sideways.
