Chant: O celestial wind, let the song of my soul reach thee. Grant this ephemeral blessing, and guide them to greater heights—Mikuzu no Hou!'
A simple and straightforward skill description, but the ability of Level Boost is quite captivating!
Although Sol had known about Haruhime's abilities in advance, he still couldn't help but worry about potential accidents. Now, however, he was completely reassured.
"Haruhime, you're amazing! You'll definitely be an excellent support in the future!" Sol praised.
"Thank you for the compliment, Sol-sama! I will work hard!" Haruhime responded with a smile.
Sol's praise made Haruhime happy, and her ears and tail subtly reflected her mood.
Having lived a monotonous life up until now—one that had been dull and colorless aside from the strict teachings of her father and teachers—Haruhime had never received such direct praise. And from a god, no less! He had to be more powerful than both her father and teacher combined.
"Ahri, this child will stay with you for now. Please take care of her," Sol said, patting Ahri on the head. He figured the two foxes would have some things in common.
The main reason for this was that Haruhime was quite introverted. Having someone familiar nearby would help her adjust more easily to life in the familia.
As night fell, Riveria, weary from the day's tasks, returned to the familia residence. She immediately sought out Sol to report on the situation.
It wasn't so much a formal report as it was Riveria venting about Sett and the others.
This time, Sett and co., had used the characteristics of killer ants to provoke a massive disturbance. The ants, with their ability to summon companions, created chaos by attracting more of their kind. Previously, they had used monster incense, which gathered hundreds of monsters on the eleventh floor. The pathway between the tenth and eleventh floors was nearly blocked, leaving a few adventurers who had just entered the area with a lasting psychological scar.
As the saying goes, "No harm without comparison."
After dealing with Sett and the others, Riveria couldn't help but think that those Yordles were actually cute, at least compared to the chaos this group caused. Even Kled, for all his charge-forward tendencies, was less troublesome.
However, Sol had anticipated Riveria's reaction. As soon as she entered the room, he began telling her about Haruhime.
Of course, Sol had already obtained Haruhime's consent before sharing this information.
The young girl still didn't fully understand the extent of her magical abilities. Sol could only make sure Ahri paid extra attention to her in the meantime.
At the very least, her magic needed to remain a secret within the family—it should not be mentioned to outsiders.
Sol had also specifically restricted Haruhime's ability stats.
"What did you say? LevelBoost?!" Riveria's eyes widened in disbelief as she blinked, struggling to fully comprehend what she had just heard.
She was no stranger to leveling up. It was just an upgrade!
But how could there be magic that caused people to level up?
Even if it was a temporary upgrade, wasn't that a bit overpowered?
Imagine two villages of the same level fighting each other, and one side is suddenly given a buff, elevating them to a higher level.
How is that fair?
In a world where strength is measured by level, a low-level person can rarely defeat a higher-level one.
Even when Bell was at LV2, he was beaten by Hyakinthos when they first met.
Of course, super-exceptional individuals like Alfia and Zald didn't count; they were monsters who could fight above their rank.
"There really is such a magic? And such an excellent child is delivered right to our doorstep?" Riveria marveled.
"Well, of course it's because of your God's charm. Even this kind of child is still not enough for me to show off!" Sol replied with a grin.
Riveria frowned at his playful tone. She had been so distracted by the revelation that she had completely forgotten to complain about Sett and the others.
"Leave this child to me when the time comes. I'll take care of her personally!" Riveria said, surprising even herself with her proactive request.
Haruhime's importance was clear to her, and as for the fox girl's character, she hoped it wasn't too far out of line...
"Don't worry, she's a good kid, just a bit introverted. You'll need to spend some time getting through to her," Sol reassured.
"I see," Riveria replied, nodding. "Introverted is good! At least she's quiet and unlikely to cause major problems... probably."
Just then, the door to the lounge knocked once more.
"This lounge seems unusually busy today. Is there more good news?" Sol mused.
"Come in," he called.
The first thing that came into view was a large head, followed by a body about the same size as the head, stumbling into the room.
It was Heimerdinger, who, as Sol had expected, headed straight for the workshop Sol had prepared in advance for him.
Similar to some other heroes, Heimerdinger couldn't be seen for long periods of time.
He, like other yordles involved in scientific research, ate and slept in that workshop. Sol had even arranged for someone to act as a waiter to ensure the researchers didn't starve to death while in the workshop.
Riveria didn't understand Heimerdinger's science, but Sol seemed well-versed in it. Riveria had even witnessed the power of a bomb created by Ziggs, which had far more power than Explosive Stones and was easier to use.
However, to sell such dangerous items, one had to report to the guild, and the process was still under review. If approved, it would become a new source of income for the family.
With more inventions like this, even if the family never ventured into dungeons again, they wouldn't have to worry about their finances.
Though the investment was large, and the family was living on a tight budget...
"Sol-sama, I need to update my favor—"
Heimerdinger got straight to the point, not one to waste time with unnecessary conversation.
Sol didn't mind; he was never one to care much for formalities.
In fact, he much preferred chatting with cute girls.
