Danmachi: Strongest Familia

Chapter 140: Chapter 139: How Considerate Of You!

The main reason was to see that the three children had realized their mistakes, returning with such listless expressions.

"By the way, Sol-sama, this is the magic core of the monster..."

"What's the name—"

Irelia turned her head to look at Lulu and Haruhime, her eyes silently pleading for help.

"Viscum!"

"Yes, the magic stone from Viscum."

The magic stone of this giant flower was noticeably larger than those from other piranha flowers. In fact, it seemed comparable in size to ordinary Goliath magic stones.

Although Sol and Riveria haven't seen the creature in person, they can imagine its appearance just by looking at the size of this magic stone.

"You three should rest now. We'll take care of the follow-up." Riveria said. The moment Sol nodded his approval, the three bolted out of the room.

Having made it through without being reprimanded, what better time to make a quick escape?

"It seems those people are more troublesome than we imagined," Riveria remarked, fiddling with the enormous magic stone as she watched the door close behind them.

Apart from the large number of new monsters, those people were even suspected of secretly cultivating an existence comparable to LV6.

"It doesn't necessarily have to be LV6," Sol replied. "You've heard from Irelia that the red-haired woman's physical abilities are beyond those of a normal human. It could be that her unique traits allow her to display such extraordinary combat effectiveness."

After all, Irelia wasn't the type of hero who relied on burst damage. Instead, she was forced into a prolonged battle against an opponent with abnormal regenerative abilities.

"Still, her combat level is at least LV6. I hope she's just an LV6 existence," Riveria sighed. "Facing someone at LV5 with leapfrog abilities is one thing, but if she's an ordinary LV6, it'll make things simpler in future matchups."

Otherwise, dealing with her would become even harder when she truly reached LV7.

"Alright, let's move away from that topic. How are Kyle and Morgana doing?" Sol asked, shifting the conversation.

"The house on their land has almost been cleared out," Riveria replied. "They're still a bit short on construction materials and funds, but I heard they can take advantage of a short credit period."

Riveria was well-informed about Kyle and Morgana's progress. She knew about Sol's grand plan and naturally devoted more attention to it.

The previous battle against the double-headed dragon had allowed Sylas and several heroes to be promoted to LV4, though not all of them had leveled up. Perhaps the battle had gone too smoothly.

However, in an effort to deal with Apollo, Morgana had delayed the official announcement of their new levels.

It was clear Apollo was becoming more active lately. A recent provocation by members of the Apollo Familia in a restaurant hinted at his growing boldness.

Once the Familia's residence was complete, they could take advantage of the opportunity to hold a divine assembly and deal with Apollo once and for all.

Orario's construction speed was impressive. With enough mana, craftsmen could work at an astonishing pace. These workers were seasoned veterans—adventurers themselves—with skills and constitutions far beyond those of ordinary people.

Under the money guidance, Kyle and Morgana's Familia homes rose rapidly, their progress visible to the naked eye.

Meanwhile, several key members of the Loki Familia had returned to Orario just a few days ago.

On the second day after they returned to Orario, shocking news spread rapidly from the guild: Ais Wallenstein had leveled up.

The entire Sol Familia paid attention to the news whenever they had a free moment. Naturally, their curiosity centered around the feat that had enabled the Sword Princess to achieve her upgrade.

After all, several members of their Familia were stuck at LV5, unable to find the right opportunity to achieve the great deeds necessary for an upgrade.

Perhaps learning how Ais accomplished her level-up could provide them with some inspiration.

"Sword Princess leveled up? When did that happen?"

"It happened yesterday when she returned from the dungeon," someone replied. "I heard she upgraded by defeating Udaeus, the Lonely King of the Labyrinth, all by herself. And Udaeus was wielding the Black Sword."

By the end of the morning, the news of Ais's battle with Udaeus and her advancement to LV6 had spread throughout Orario.

The Sol Familia was particularly well-informed, having gathered even the intricate details of the fight. After all, Loki had made a point of meeting with Sol specifically to brag, leaving no chance for anyone to ignore the story.

"Udaeus using a sword? That's news to me," one member said in astonishment.

"It seems that triggering such a condition requires a solo battle," another observed. "You can't let anyone else interfere, and Udaeus has to be taken down in a near-death state."

"The Black Goliath that Eina dealt with before had a similar scenario," a third added. "Could it be that these floor bosses have alternate forms?"

"It's a shame Amphisbaena was taken down by Garen and the others," someone lamented. "Otherwise, we could have tested this theory on that two-headed dragon."

Amphisbaena: Stay away from me!

The members of the Sol Familia gathered around, animatedly discussing the peculiarities of the floor bosses and their second forms.

During their last expedition, Udaeus hadn't respawned yet. Otherwise, defeating the LV6 floor boss could have been a tremendous opportunity for some of them to gain their great achievement.

Now, more members of the Familia were nearing the threshold for leveling up.

It wasn't just those aiming to advance from LV5 to LV6—plenty of LV4 adventurers, like the Veronica sisters, also needed opportunities for great achievement.

Many of them had their sights set on Udaeus.

Defeating a strengthened LV6 floor boss would undoubtedly fulfill the requirements for their upgrades.

Unfortunately, Udaeus wasn't a common monster. The refresh interval for floor bosses was long, and pinning all their hopes on him wasn't realistic.

Some members even started jokingly discussing drawing lots to decide who would face Udaeus next.

Udaeus: How considerate of you…

——

The uproar over Ais's level-up eventually subsided. The Loki Familia soon announced they would be partnering with the Hephaestus Familia for a new expedition, redirecting everyone's focus.
