Chapter 4: chapter 4: getting falna and first floor
After finishing the simulation and feeling my body get synced with my simulation prime self, I feel a lot stronger. I get up from bed and lift it with one arm without breaking a sweat i think this weight 100 kg or something, and my eyesight improved so much I could distinguish faces of passers-by from the windows of my room on the 2nd floor.
I check my system.
Bruh... it took me almost 70 years just training and my level is 5… and the XP… increases exponentially…
As I take my armor and go to the Adventurer Guild, the first thing that catches my eyes as I enter is a pink-haired receptionist who hits my chest.
Allen: Hope you didn't get hurt—here, take my hand.
Misha: Thank you, and no, don't worry. Are you new here?
Allen: How did you know that?
Misha: The look on your face says it. It may be surprising, but most adventurers wouldn't even try to check after a staff member bumps into them.
Allen: Thanks, but that's just the normal thing. If I may trouble you, can you help me find a list of Familia making recruitment posts?
Misha: Of course, let me go check and come back.
As I wait for her, I couldn't fight the urge to pat this cat near me… because, whether I know another word or not, my love for cats didn't decrease—hell, it increased. I could find myself a cat girl now… this is healthy, right?
Well, just before getting too much into this useless loop, Misha comes back again, having a registry of all Familia needing recruitment. After she gave it to me, I directly try to look for any of the staff of anime goddesses.
I find Demeter tempting, honestly… but their headquarters are kinda far from the dungeon, which is a minus.
Hephaestus… but here it says look for a blacksmith.
Loki—they are open now, but I don't want to join a Familia when I'm just getting a little stronger and a blonde auto-respawns to you acting all cute wanting to get stronger too…
Freya? Nope.
Hestia… well, looks all free, even drawing heart shapes to make people join. Alright.
I tell Misha I'm joining Hestia, and she says both the god and the Familia members should be present, but she can give me papers so I can take them to Hestia without all the hassle.
I get up now, all refreshed, looking for a stall that sells that potatoes thing—and I find her. I walk to the stall and greet her.
Allen: Hello, is this Goddess Hestia? I hope I'm not annoying, but I heard you're still looking for Familia members.
Hestia: Ohh yeah… wait, you seriously want to join my Familia even though you'll always feel hungry… and even live in a rundown church?
Allen: Yeah. And because we're rock bottom, the only direction is up. And I was always a fan of Goddess Hestia.who is
Eternal Keeper of hearth flame

"I had to use all my powers to not cringe while saying that but Look, mytho classes had their benefits at last."
Hestia: W…well, it's given that a mortal like you would be impressed by a competent goddess like me. And I know you didn't lie. So welcome. Things will be rough at the start, but it'll make a stronger bond.
I didn't expect her to just accept me this fast. And those fics kept saying how Hestia would have bigger reactions… but I think it's more logical. I heard she didn't spend a long time after getting kicked out from Hephaestus.
Allen: I'm sure of that. If you don't mind signing these papers I got from the guild.
Hestia: Alright, done. We're now Familia—except waiting for a ritual home.
Then I buy all those potatoes and reassure her I already have enough money. Then we went to her basement—ahem—home. I laid down and let her do the Falna, and she gave me a sheet of paper.
Hestia: Looks like you got a skill! I'm happy for you, though I don't understand what it means… Simulation Life?
Allen: I would take anything to get stronger. And yeah, I think it's useful.
Even though I know from anime she has a good personality, I would try to avoid telling a god I can have infinite life glitches.
After I finish, I jump in place five times fast, take my sword, and run to the dungeon straight after telling her I'll be back by 5 PM.
And here I am, in front of this massive structure… it's intimidating. I follow the flow of people and get to the first floor, with the first guy welcoming me—a goblin.
I don't try to fight until he moves, because animals make openings when moving. And just as he lunges at me, I sidestep and strike with the sword's sharp edge using all my power—and I cut it in half. I felt like Guts for a moment there. I ignore the blood and keep moving forward while trying not to get surrounded or ambushed. After killing 50 monsters, I take the cores back and return to the Adventurer Guild.
I was always trying to avoid seeing my status because I knew I'd get distracted by it.
As I move up and take a breather walking to the Adventurer Guild, I enter and see it lively as ever. I go to the table, give the staff member my cores, and he gives me my hard-earned money—a sweet 2800 valis.
I don't know if that's a lot, but I know it's half of what I got from the bag. I go back to the church, and the moment I enter, I smell meat.
Can we even afford meat now?
I take a look at the kitchen and find Hestia cooking… I can see why people liked her so much in my past life. I try to spook her a little until she smacks me in the face with a spoon!
Allen: I just wanted to have a little fun.
Hestia: Sorry! It was just a reflex of mine. But why couldn't I hear you come in?
Allen: Maybe because I didn't knock. I thought you were sleeping or something.
Then she gives me her sweet smile and says:
Hestia: I wouldn't sleep until you get back. You better get used to it.
… I don't know if her name as the goddess of hearth makes her this caring or if I was abused so much in my past life that this gesture of hers made my heart move.
We then eat together, and I sleep on the couch while she goes to bed…
I feel like I forgot something.
Yeah, the hotel rent for 7 days!!!
