Now that we were resting and free I thought it was time to inspect the sword...
[Excalibur Morgan The Life Eater- A replica of a legendary sword Excalibur but a more sinister version. Unlike Original Excalibur where the sword gather power from the belief placed on it, this sword gain power from slaying livings collecting there life force/essence also called EXP by system users.
It is a almost indestructible weapon even without EXP stored for It has divine material stardust mixed in it. And with EXP stored it can never be destroyed until all EXP is used.
It can release a powerful attack with all stored EXP. EXP in attack can be regulated according to user's wish, to send less strong but more attacks.

After a large amount of EXP was passed through the life elemental stones it awaken a pseudo consciousness which is now bound to the soul its first owner Shades.
It is a soul bound weapon and will teleport back to owner's hands whenever he calls the for it.

YOO, What the fuck.... Did it just upgraded.
EXP is truly a mysterious thing. I thought I understand its fully but there is more to it.
"So Shades this is what happened ........ and this is how it is." I told Shades all there is to know about the new features and some other things after giving the sword back. He seems to be very happy with the new upgrades as well.
"Hmm, I will take good care of her." that's all Shades said in reply and start admiring the sword again.
"Master can you make something for me too." requested Crystal with puppy eyes. Fuck, it don't suit her at all.
"Yaa, will make one for you to after all top priority thing are done." I said, she is already strong, so I will postpone it for later.
"Anyway now lets start grinding again." I said while standing up. We have half an hour rest and its time to dive deeper.
As everyone get up, we made our way to the water city.

'Fuck its huge' Was my first thought after seeing the water fall flowing down from 25th floor all the way to 27th floor on the opposite side of floor entrance where we stand. Its almost one kilometer deep and around half a kilometer wide. If all the water falling here is send to surface it will drown the whole city in a mere hour I am telling you.

Yes, lets do it. Accepting the task, I led both to our new hunting ground.
This floor has blue gray stone walls and some light blue transparent crystals growing here and there. After closer inspection it turned out to be some ordinary crystals made up of some common salts but some of them contain salt in very pure form, so I collect them anyway for future chemistry experiments. This world don't value chemicals much so these crystals are not sold or bought anywhere, they are not even touched by anyone in years as some of them have grown massive in size. After stuffing 1 tone of purer salt crystals in a single slot of my inventory we continued our travel.
OHH ores like mithril, adamantite, orichalcum and some other rare crystals can also be found here. Man my hands and pickaxe both are itching for it. They are too expensive in market.
On our way down Shades was our main tank and vanguard while me being the assassin and Crystal being our backline, it make thing more easy and our grinding speeds was also very fast this way.

Ya Shades is also releasing EXP attacks time to time on tougher enemies like crystal turtles or out of range monsters like harpy but on smaller level which cause controlled damage and consume less EXP.

Its about four hours we have arrived in the water city. Its truly a big and wonderful place, specially that waterfall. But the number of monster here were also high, good for us. Some times there were monster groups camping in the tunnels or some other cave rooms to ambush on adventurers which were easily taken care of by both me and Shades and on some other times monsters tried to launch a surprise attack at us from the rivers or other water bodies which were mostly taken care of by Crystal's ice magic, frozen and scattered to dust leaving only their stones. And about those snake women things, Shades was giving them a special treatment for some reason. Grabbing one from its tail and swing it like a wracking ball hitting other monsters at the same time, who knows what got into him but it looks fun for some reason. But the most trouble monsters were that army of extremely fast bird monsters which were taken care of Shades as well but at the cost of half EXP of the total EXP stored.
As for Crystal she was mostly on stand by or helping my mine and gather resources leaving Shades to do all the fighting. After all it was his request saying he want to collect stones need for his armor himself.
You know what, war shadows are very deadly monsters who are only held back by their physical limitations. They are as the name suggest killing machines of war, perfect assassins and brutal fighters with very good battle instincts and stamina. There is a reason why more than 20% of new adventurers lost their lives in their claws.
On our way we also avoid each and every yellow dot only hunting red dots. It was fun and I also mine a lot of ores and crystals I found using map.
I also found that Amphisbaena has just spawn as well and I want to get it's loot. But first need to recover my stamina.
Although I has SSS rank in my all stats but still I can only be comparable to level 2 at best on the bases of raw strength and stamina. Except that I can only relay on my weapons and partners. Haaa I need to find a Familia soon....
