*Author's Note:* I'm getting back to writing this after months, so I might make a lot of mistakes. Please, I would appreciate it if you could correct me if I make any errors here. Since I've been writing throughout the year, my style might have changed, as I'm always striving to improve.

Explosions erupted on the other side of the city as a battle raged, with Lucius fighting directly against the four opponents. A series of attacks began in that area with explosive sounds, while Lucius remained airborne, maintaining a distance from everyone, taking advantage of his ability to fly. The only one who could have better long-range attacks was Riveria, but Lucius didn't expect the fight to be this easy. He had to take them down to help the Xenos, while Aiz was fighting alongside others against Asterius, and Bell and the others were increasingly surrounded throughout the city.

"..." Lucius evaded an attack from Riveria that passed by his side, while she glared at him, her staff still glowing. But he didn't even need to move from the last position.

"Riveria, I am your enemy now, don't forget that..." Lucius murmured in a neutral tone, as he disappeared.

"He's coming!" Gareth murmured as everyone prepared, but Lucius had yet to appear in their midst.

"Riveria, you need to stop hesitating, he's our enemy!" Finn said firmly to the mage.

"..." Riveria, still with a grim expression, nodded in the end.

At that moment, he suddenly appeared in the middle of them, and before anyone could react, he unleashed his magical aura, disorienting everyone and throwing them back with the force of the magic at maximum aura.

"Hrrr!" All four of them were pushed back, and soon, purple circles appeared above them, with Lucius reappearing in the air now that they were all trapped. He then began creating several blue orbs around him, which, in the next moment, descended at full speed to the ground, exploding the three houses where everyone was trapped within the circles.

"This..." Finn murmured, finding himself cornered.

A series of explosions then erupted in the area, with the sounds echoing throughout the district. Lucius narrowed his eyes as he saw a shield conjured by Riveria, impressed that she had only a few seconds to manage to summon it while under the pressure of his gravity spell.

"Impressive, elven princess," Lucius smiled.

The three warriors looked at him while Riveria maintained the shield until he dispelled it. At that moment, Lucius was slightly surprised by small stones flying towards him. As he quickly cast a Chronos spell to paralyze them, Gareth used his strength to try to hit him, but was stopped by a light that shone above him, causing some surprise, while Riveria launched another spell from behind, this time created from the sky above Lucius.

"My name is elf!" she exclaimed as an energy surged towards Lucius' back, forcing him to retreat using teleportation as he found himself lower on the ground with a threat coming from his side.

Finn appeared beside Lucius at that moment, forcing the mage to draw his katana, defending against the spear of the captain of the Loki Familia.

Gareth and Shakti also appeared from all sides, forcing Lucius to vanish while he began casting lightning and flames directly at them, with an elemental storm exploding across the rooftops, though not for long before Riveria conjured another spell.

He dodged the attack from the mage as he distanced himself, with everyone landing and facing him, while Riveria was already preparing another spell.

Once again, he lunged at them, initiating another fierce battle, as a storm of elements began in that area. While they tried to hit him, Lucius was also aiming to take them down before evacuating all members from here. It had been a struggle since he left the Familia mansion.

Even so, Lucius had the advantage of infinite energy, as long as he didn't exhaust his body to the point of collapsing, he could keep fighting. However, he couldn't say he was in good shape either, after all, he had suffered so many attacks and fought against enemies that his body was quite weakened. Nevertheless, his adrenaline kept him going, still fighting against his foes.

The explosions began as the highest-level adventurers continued fighting there, frightening the city's citizens as they ran.

"There are monsters in the slums' streets, we must get out of here!" People shouted, rushing out of their homes, unable to stay with all the chaos happening.

"Quick, let's go, let's go!" A family ran away. "Please, adventurers, protect us from the monsters!" a woman murmured, desperate.

"Quick, let's evacuate the area!" Some adventurers from the Ganesha Familia stayed to take care of the civilians while trying to control the panic in the city.

Elsewhere, a group stood on top of a house with the sounds of battle echoing in the distance. This was the Hermes Familia.

"What should we do, Hermes-Sama?" Asfi asked from the side.

"Well," Hermes replied with a cautious look, as this was very troubling in his opinion. "we'll have to intervene. It seems the Hestia Familia is involved, and the most prominent person there is Lucius Drakenar." He paused for a moment, looking serious before continuing. "First, let's help Bell and the others who are surrounded by Orario adventurers. But we can't show our direct support because of the Xenos. We also need to find out what happened to those gods who were killed from a distance, because whoever killed them is there..." He murmured, as there were three types of fights happening at that moment.

The Xenos, along with Bell's Familia, were starting to be attacked by adventurers. Lucius was facing Finn, Riveria, Gareth, and Shakti, and lastly, a mysterious Minotaur was fighting Aiz, Bete, Tione, and Tiona.

"Hey, why are you with these monsters, Hestia Familia!!" one of the adventurers shouted as everyone there was surrounded. Bell, Lili, Welf, Mikoto, Haruhime, Daphne, Cassandra, Aisha, Ryuu, Lyd, Gros, Ray, Riekling were all in combat mode on every side, while Erebus, in his black Goliath form, was holding an unconscious Wiene.

"This is bad..." Welf commented cautiously.

"We don't want to fight, we just want to take our friends and leave!" Lyd exclaimed, while all the adventurers raised their eyebrows.

"A monster that can talk? We're not falling for that, you freak, we should kill them!" they shouted.

"Yes, he's trying to deceive us."

"The Hestia Familia is a traitor!!"

"They brought monsters to the surface and are causing chaos in the city!"

"Damn it, I admired you! Now you're surrounded by monsters, even Lucius is a traitor fighting against the Loki Familia."

The exclamations continued, unwilling to listen, only expressing their frustrations and even airing some grievances they had been harboring against the Hestia Familia, finally able to condemn them for revenge.

"We'll have to fight..." Ryuu commented, preparing her staff, sensing that the conversation was reaching its limit as they prepared for battle.

And so it was, in the next moment, the adventurers charged forward.

"Prepare to fight!!" Bell shouted, gritting his teeth as he clashed against a blade trying to strike him.

Blades began to strike from all sides, clashing against the weapons of the Hestia Familia and the Xenos.

"Damn monsters! Die!!" An adventurer tried to fight Lyd, but he was stronger than this level 3.

"We don't want to hurt you!" Lyd pleaded, despite the insults, they only wanted to return to Knossos.

"Shut up, damn monster, pretending to be one of us!!" The man shouted as he tried to push Lyd back, but ended up being thrown back himself, falling to the ground disarmed. His rage turned to fear when he found himself facing the lizard who stared down at him.

"Don't kill me..." he murmured, scared of death, but Lyd did not attack; instead, he set his weapon aside, surprising the adventurer.

"I don't want to kill you... I just seek friendship between the race of Lu-Chi..." Lyd said, extending his hand toward the fallen adventurer, hoping to finally make contact with a human on this battlefield.

Surprisingly, the adventurer reached out to take Lyd's hand, but at that moment, he drew a dagger from his pocket, and Lyd was shocked as he found himself stabbed in the exposed chest by the adventurer's weapon.

"Die, damn monster!!" the adventurer said with hatred, hatred for the monsters that had killed many of his companions in the dungeon.

"AHHHH!!!!" Lyd screamed in pain, trying to push the adventurer away.

"LYDDD!!!!" Gros saw this and quickly shoved his opponent against the wall, rushing to help Lyd, while the adventurer was surprised by the gargoyle coming at him. Without any mercy, Gros struck with such force that...

"HRRR!!!" The adventurer didn't even have time to react as he felt his body folding, bones breaking with loud cracks, and he was sent flying, unconscious and severely injured.

"We can't trust these humans, Lyd. They are treacherous!!" Gros exclaimed to Lyd.

"But... I thought..." Lyd murmured as blood trickled down his chest, still gritting his teeth in pain while looking at the human who had attacked him at the first opportunity.

'Not all of them are like Lucius and the others...?' he murmured sadly, wondering how he could live on the surface this way.

"We need help here!!!" Ray shouted as she flew, dodging arrows, while mages were preparing spells from a distance. The situation was worsening, with Erebus seemingly the only one holding his own against so many adventurers at once, enduring most of the attacks but still healing in real-time, protecting everyone else.

"This is bad..." From a distance, a distorted voice spoke. It was Fels, observing the situation; he had to help the Hestia Familia and was about to act.

But at that moment, hurricane bombs surged throughout the area, filling it with gas.

"What is this?!" The adventurers fighting against Bell and the Xenos were startled as the gas-filled area made everyone around them start coughing.

"Hm?" Ryuu noticed someone arriving in their midst, moving with stealth.

"Quick... we have to get out of here... you won't last long while all the adventurers in the city are heading this way..." Asfi said, speaking to them.

They saw this as someone began pushing the adventurers away from them in the smoke.

Bell and the others exchanged glances, and Bell, recognizing Hermes' daughter, nodded to everyone. "We should trust her!" he said, and they all agreed.

"Quick, follow me... my familia will hold back the adventurers." Asfi said and quickly moved to one side, and everyone else nodded, beginning to follow her.
