Danmachi: Bell Gojo through the fictional Multiverse

Chapter 129: Next lesson and sparring the Guards and Priest

The serenity of Zeno's palace belied the intense activity within its halls. The Omni-King himself, diminutive but brimming with excitement, stood before Bell, the most powerful being across the multiverse. Bell had taken it upon himself to train Zeno, not only to teach him the art of combat but also to nurture the diminutive King's understanding of the warriors who served him.

"Alright, Zeno-sama," Bell said, folding his arms as he looked down at the eager king. "You've got the basics of punching down, but fighting isn't just about throwing fists. You need to see and feel your opponent. That's where kinetic vision and ki sensing come in."

Zeno tilted his head. "Feel the opponent? How do I do that?"

Bell knelt to meet Zeno's gaze. "When you're in battle, your eyes can deceive you. Speed, angles, illusions—there are a million ways to throw you off. But ki… Ki never lies. It's the essence of every being. If you can sense it, you'll always know where your opponent is and what they're about to do."

Standing, Bell closed his eyes. A faint pulse of energy surrounded him, like a calm sea. "Try to sense me, Zeno-sama. Don't use your eyes—feel where I am."

Zeno squinted in concentration, his tiny fists clenching as he focused. A minute passed, and suddenly his head snapped to Bell's side, even though Bell hadn't moved.

"I feel you!" Zeno exclaimed, clapping his hands excitedly.

Bell smiled. "Good. Now, we'll work on integrating that with your vision. Watch me carefully."

Bell began moving slowly, demonstrating attacks and dodges with deliberate motions. Zeno mimicked him, his small figure darting and punching as Bell provided encouragement. "Don't just see where I am, Zeno-sama. Predict where I'll be. Use both your eyes and what you feel."

Zeno's progress was remarkable. By the end of the session, the Omni-King could follow Bell's faintest movements, even when Bell began to increase his speed.

Bell turned to Zeno's personal guards, imposing figures radiating immense strength. They stepped forward, their auras flaring with raw energy. Despite their power, Bell regarded them calmly.

"Let's see what you've got," he said, stretching his arms lazily.

The guards attacked in unison, their strikes synchronized and precise. Bell deflected their blows effortlessly, his movements almost casual. With a flick of his wrist, he sent one guard tumbling backward. A quick sidestep avoided another's ki blast, which exploded harmlessly against the palace walls.

"Not bad," Bell said, smiling. "But you're holding back. Come at me like you mean it."

The guards exchanged glances before their auras intensified. This time, they attacked with everything they had—speed, power, and strategy. But Bell's mastery was unparalleled.

With a faint glow of LSSJB4+UI+Destroyer Mode, Bell moved like a phantom. Every punch, kick, and energy wave passed through empty space as Bell seemed to anticipate their moves before they even made them. A single strike from Bell sent one guard sprawling, his energy dissipating instantly.

The air grew heavier as the Grand Priest stepped forward, his serene expression hiding the immense power he wielded. "Impressive, Bell," he said. "Perhaps you and I should spar next?"

Bell grinned. "I've been waiting for this."

The two took their positions, the atmosphere charged with energy. Bell powered up, his aura a kaleidoscope of colors—blue, silver, green, and gold blending seamlessly into a radiant display.

The Grand Priest struck first, his movements almost imperceptibly fast. Bell dodged, their collision creating shockwaves that rippled across the palace. The two exchanged blows, their speed and power dwarfing anything the guards could muster.

Despite the Grand Priest's incredible skill, it quickly became clear that Bell was in a league of his own. His strikes grew heavier, his movements more fluid, until even the Grand Priest found himself on the defensive.

With a final surge of power, Bell struck the ground, sending a wave of energy that forced the Grand Priest to retreat, his serene demeanor replaced by a look of genuine admiration.

"You are truly remarkable, Bell," the Grand Priest said, his voice tinged with respect. "To think you've adapted to Zeno-sama's energy and surpassed even my expectations."

Bell nodded, his aura calming. "It's all thanks to the training. Constant exposure to Zeno's energy forced my body to adapt. Now I can not only withstand it—I've figured out how to counteract it. I even have a trick up my sleeve if I ever face someone of Zeno-sama's level."

As the day ended, Bell returned to Zeno, who was practicing the ki sensing techniques he'd learned. Watching the tiny King focus so intently, Bell felt a surge of pride.

"You're doing great, Zeno-sama," Bell said, patting the King's head lightly.

"Do you think I'll ever be as strong as you, Bell?" Zeno asked, looking up at him.

Bell chuckled. "Strength isn't about how much power you have. It's about how you use it. And you, Zeno-sama, have the potential to be the greatest."

Zeno beamed at the compliment. With a snap of his fingers, he created a feast for Bell, complete with the most comfortable bed the warrior had ever seen. Despite the luxury, Bell spent a few hours in intense training, pushing the limits of his forms. His Kaioken, with its exponential multipliers, allowed him to explore the theoretical limits of his power.

As he finally lay down to rest, Bell couldn't help but think about the future. He had surpassed all known limits, but the universe was vast. Somewhere out there, he was certain, new challenges awaited.

For now, though, he allowed himself a moment of peace, knowing he stood at the pinnacle of power in all creation.
