Chapter 16: Don’t Leave Me!
Theo bandaged the bruised part of her leg. Tylia felt guilty because her bite had injured him. She helped Theo dress the wound and put on a small bandage.
Then, set the aid box aside. Theo got up and walked towards the window. He slightly pulled back the curtain and scanned outside. It was still stormy rain.
Theo returned to the bed and sat beside her, catching his breath after running back and forth.
He noticed Tylia was shaking. Instinctively, Theo hugged Tylia from the side to calm her down.
He asked, "Are you okay now?"
Tylia shook her head. "I'm scared. It is still in my mind."
The hand that embraced Tylia patted her shoulder in a soothing gesture.
Theo said, "Don't worry, it won't get in."
He gently pushed her head and rested it on his shoulder. They stayed like that long enough, for she felt calmed.
She tilted slightly and asked, "What do you think that thing is?"
Theo shrugged. "Might be related to the gold band. All the things happened right after I told you about it."
The phone rang. Theo fished out his phone, Alfred's name appeared, and he answered.
"Sir, the items you ordered earlier could not be delivered due to the heavy storm," Alfred said.
"Alright, any matters can wait until tomorrow," Theo ended the call.
His gazed on Tylia and said, "You are soaking from the rain. You need to change. Can you change by yourself?"
"I guessed I could," Tylia said.
"Ok, I'll wait outside." Theo stood up, but Tylia grabbed him immediately.
"Don't! Don't leave. It might come back," her voice quivered.
Sighing while raising both hands, Theo said, "Okay, okay. I won't leave, but I must get you clean clothes."
"I don't have any." Tylia felt slightly helpless.
"You can borrow mine," he suggested.
Tylia nodded and let go of Theo's hand. Theo walked to the wardrobe, pulled out the drawer, and searched through each piece to find one suitable for her.
"Shirts, shirts... pants, pants...this one is okay."
He then placed it on the bed. It was his long-sleeved turtle-neck t-shirt and trousers.
Theo helped Tylia into the bathroom. She insisted on not closing the door and told him to stay with her. Theo crossed his arms and leaned on the wall beside the door. His cheeks blushed.
"I'm done!" she called. Theo moved inside the bathroom and saw Tylia gripping the pants.
"It's loose," Tylia said.
"I know," he said. Theo retrieved a rubber band from his pocket.
"Hold it, I want to tie it." Tylia gripped the shirt.
Theo need to bend down, his face closed against Tylia's exposed waist. Tylia could feel his breath brushing on her skin, and she was red.
"Done!" Theo said. Quickly, Tylia pulled down her shirt. Theo assisted her until she reached the sofa near the bed.
"Bare it for a moment; I make it quick," Theo said, promptly running into the bathroom and locking the door before she could say anything.
He didn't want to hear Tylia plead, "Don't leave me."
As expected, he could not leave her sleep alone. Tylia sleep on the bed while Theo sleep on the floor beside the bed.
"Good night, Lia," Theo murmured.
She responded, "Night, Theo."
He heard a soft snoring sound as Tylia had fallen asleep.
Throughout the night, pouring rain and constant rumblings of thunder continued until dawn.
A beam of sunlight escaped through the slit of the curtain, hinting daytime had arrived. Tylia had ended up on the floor. They cuddled together under the blanket. She enjoyed his warm embrace.
Theo's shirt was only halfway buttoned, leaving his chest bare. He felt tickling against his skin, making his eyelids flutter as he began to stir from slumber.
It was Tylia. Her breath grazed his bare chest. Theo stirred awake.
He murmured in his groggy voice, "When did you roll down here?"
Theo could feel the softness of her bouncy breasts rubbing against his body. She was not wearing a bra. Only A thin layer of fabric separated their skin. His face turned crimson red.
Theo stirred her awake several times. Still, she slept soundly, undisturbed by his calls. He gave up and decided to let her sleep. He lifted Tylia back onto the bed and went to take a cold shower.
After showering, Theo busied himself in the kitchen preparing breakfast. He cooked steamed rice, miso soup with tofu, a variety of pickled vegetables, grilled salmon and green tea.
"Smells good," Theo heard Tylia murmur as she stood at the door, rubbing her eyes, still dressed in his clothes.
His mind briefly wandered to the soft curves of her figure, and he quickly shook the thought away.
"Morning, princess. Wash up first. Breakfast will be ready in thirty minutes," he said, dismissing her with a quick wave.
Fifteen minutes later, Tylia emerged from the room, a towel wrapped around her head, looking refreshed.
"Morning!" Tylia greeted him.
"Morning, how's your leg?"
"Much better. It's healed."
"Hairdryer on the sofa," Theo said, nodding toward the living room. Tylia walked back to the sofa and sat nearby. As she reached for the hairdryer, she noticed the hum of the lights and realised the power supply had been restored.
She found a nearby socket and dried her hair. Theo peeked at her and watched her every movement while cooking. When she was done, Theo abruptly switched his attention back to the pan.
"Where should I put this hairdryer?" Tylia asked, turning half her body towards the kitchen while one hand lifted the hairdryer.
Theo swallowed and replied, "Put it in the drawer inside the bedroom. Thanks."
Tylia returned to the room and looked for a drawer to put it in. She chose the drawer closest to the decorative mirror and put the hairdryer inside. Then she picked up her phone.
She saw Brian's message and intended to read it, but Theo had already called for breakfast. The delicious smell of this morning had made her stomach churn with hunger.
