Damn it, I’m surrounded by those who kill their fathers!

Chapter 106: Chapter 103: Star-Lord and John Get Beaten Up

On the other side, at the Podrick Farm.

"No, Star-Lord, my mouth tells me it doesn't want to shut up."

Clark stood up from the ground effortlessly, speaking casually.

"I'm going to fry you into chips, Clark!"

Star-Lord clenched his teeth, glaring at Clark. White light flickered in his eyes, gradually forming arcs of white flames that danced at the corners.

Clark took a deep breath after rising and, without warning, grabbed a speaker from a nearby table and hurled it at Star-Lord.

"Clang!" The speaker smashed directly into an unprepared Star-Lord, sending him flying into the barn wall. The impact shattered the speaker into fragments, scattering them everywhere.

"You shouldn't have provoked me, Star-Lord."

"Boom!"

In a flash, Clark landed heavily beside the fallen Star-Lord. "Because I'm the only one who doesn't discriminate against you."

Clark crouched, gazing at Star-Lord sprawled on the ground. "Sorry about your Walkman. Maybe I can buy you a new one next time, but I really don't want to listen to those dumb songs anymore."

Picking up the broken Walkman, Clark shook his head with slight regret before casually tossing it aside like trash.

Watching Clark discard his treasured Walkman, Star-Lord ignored his pain, leaped up, and swung a punch at Clark.

Clark effortlessly caught the punch with one hand.

"Creak..."

Increasing the pressure on Star-Lord's fist, Clark taunted, "You're nothing like a godfather. At three years old, I was already stronger than you, though not as fat."

"Ahhh!" Star-Lord screamed from the searing pain in his hand.

Clark smirked, flinging Star-Lord away with a casual toss. Star-Lord hurtled like a bullet, smashing through the barn wall with a resounding crash, leaving a massive hole behind.

After dealing with Star-Lord, Clark turned to John.

"What's the matter? You want to fight too, John?"

Before Clark could finish his taunt, John fired a heat ray from his eyes, blasting him away.

John's eyes glowed a fierce red, bathing the entire barn in crimson light. His lips twitched with anger.

"Boom!"

Like a missile, John charged at the still-airborne Clark, wrapping his arms around Clark's waist.

The two of them rocketed across the barn floor, tearing a second hole in its walls and plowing through several meters of fertile farmland.

Using his flight, John maintained their high-speed trajectory.

"Bang!"

John grabbed Clark by the collar, punching him square in the face.

"How dare you max out Dad's credit card!"

John roared, landing another punch. His eye beams burned even brighter.

"How dare you say I'm not Dad's son!"

Another punch slammed into Clark's face, accompanied by a deafening crack.

John's heat vision erupted from his eyes, scorching Clark's forehead.

Feeling the searing burn, Clark summoned all his strength to break John's grip on his shirt.

Though he freed himself, Clark, unable to fly, was flung by the momentum, crashing into the living room.

The impact rippled across the room like waves, shattering furniture and filling the air with choking dust.

John continued his relentless assault, charging into the living room.

Clark, lying on the ground, blocked John's punches with his arms crossed in front of his chest, deflecting them effortlessly.

After donning a red kryptonite ring, Clark felt a surge of power. His senses sharpened, and his speed, strength, and reflexes reached unprecedented levels.

Savoring his newfound strength, Clark pushed John away, stood swiftly, and launched himself at John with lightning speed. He grabbed John's shirt and slammed him to the ground with a thundering crash.

The shiny floor splintered, sending debris and dust everywhere.

John, lying on the ground, winced as sharp pain shot through his back.

"Don't you get it? This is my strength unleashed, John. Without limits, free and unbound, my power is absolute."

Clark mistakenly attributed the red kryptonite's amplification to breaking free of his "shackles."

"Father taught me to release my restraints. I'll make him proud."

"No, you won't!" John staggered to his feet, clutching his shoulder. "Clark, you traitorous scum! You've revealed your true colors. You want everything for yourself!"

"Traitor? Hardly," Clark sneered. "I'm just being myself. But you, John, stop hiding your petty ambitions. You'll never become the master of this farm."

Clark's insolent tone continued to provoke. "You live in fear, always afraid of losing something. You see everyone around you as an opponent—me, Star-Lord. You hate us all."

"You can't bear the thought of disappointing Father. You crave his approval and love. But the more you desire it, the more you lose. No one loves a child who never grows up, John. That's what you are—a perpetual child."

"Shut your damn mouth! I'm not!"

"Oh, but you are, John. Seeking approval, love, and Daddy's attention, crying and whining all the time—you're nothing but a child."

"Zzzap!"

John fired his heat vision at Clark, forcing him to retreat. John dashed forward to continue his assault.

The two clashed, their powers colliding. This time, Clark held the upper hand, gradually overpowering John.

Clark smirked, continuing his verbal barrage. "I can help Father. I can become the man he always wanted."

Grinding his teeth, John glared at Clark. "I'm the eldest son of this family. You'll always be an outsider. Father loves me, not you!"

"Congrats. Your desperate need for Daddy's approval is kind of pathetic. But..."

Clark shrugged and taunted with a mocking grin. "~Yay!"

John, incensed, unleashed a heat vision blast. Clark, already prepared, dodged to the side.

The heat ray struck the television, causing it to explode in a deafening blast.

John charged, throwing punches. Clark blocked with one arm and struck back with the other, targeting John's chest.

John staggered back but retaliated with an elbow strike, only to be countered and sent flying.

"Boom!"

John crashed through another barn wall before skidding across the ground.

Clark pursued relentlessly, seizing John by the shirt and kicking him hard in the stomach, sending him hurtling into the distance.

"Boom!"

John landed with meteoric force, creating a massive crater. Dirt and rubble flew skyward like a storm.

Clark landed near John, looking down at him.

"I told you, John, I've broken free of my chains. Like Mongul in the stories Father told, I'll become the strongest and richest. You can't stop me."

John, panting, glared at Clark. "Father... Father won't forgive you! And neither will I!"

"I'll just tell him it was your fault."

Clark shamelessly shifted the blame for the farm's destruction.

"My ambitions go far beyond this tiny farm. My goals are far greater than yours."

Clark glanced at the farm. His eyes began to burn with searing heat.

Rubbing them, he squinted through a red haze as everything seemed to ignite.

Letting out a groan, Clark's heat vision flared uncontrollably, scorching the crops outside. Flames erupted, engulfing the farmland.

John's eyes turned crimson with rage as he watched the farm burn.

"Ahhh!"

Losing all reason, John flew straight at Clark, grabbing him and shooting into the sky.

"Boom!"

A sonic boom shattered the air as John rocketed upwards with Clark.

"Whoosh!"

High in the sky, a passenger jet cruised over Smallville.

Inside, a bored boy gazed out at the clouds, trying to pass the time.

Suddenly, a figure zipped past the plane, startling him.

"Dad! Dad! Look! Someone's outside!"

The boy tugged his father's sleeve.

Distractedly flipping through a newspaper, the father glanced out and froze in shock.

To his disbelief, John was dragging Clark's head straight toward the plane.

Though he couldn't tell if they were human, a collision would spell disaster for the jet.

"Oh my God! No! No! Get away from here!"

Panicked, the father grabbed his son and backed away.

Screams erupted among the passengers as chaos consumed the cabin.
