"Masterโฆ This. Is. Amazing!!!" Serafall nearly started dancing after finishing her work in record time.
"I completed an entire day's worth of paperwork in less than an hour! And, as you suggested, I tested it on more difficult documents! It worked like magic! And I know there was no actual magic involved!" she proudly told me.
"I seeโฆ I'm glad the signer is working as intended." I nodded, pleased. That's the joy of being an inventorโseeing someone happy with your creation!
"Yes! You have no idea, Master~~~" Serafall walked over and hugged me tightly. I found myself squished by her ample chest. She was still slightly taller than me, but I'd surpass her height soon enough.
That said, having a sexy devil's chest in your face could be considered a reward.
She took a step forward, tightening her grip on me. I could feel her properly cuddling me now.
"Master, you know? No one has ever given me a gift like this before! You're the first person to even think about making my work easier! And for thatโฆ Sera... is deeply grateful~~~" she said, releasing me from the hug after expressing her thanks.
Not going to lie, she really knows how to say the right thing.
"So, what are you working on next?" Serafall asked, casually sitting on one of the couches I had recently transmuted.
Her change in demeanor was striking. Now, she reminded me more of a succubus than a cosplaying magical girl. Especially when she shifted her position, lying back and gazing at me with those curious blue eyes of hers.
"Before I can do anything major, I'll need to cast some barriers around my house and my garage." I explained my next step.
"Hmm... while I can cast barriers, they're not my specialty. And anything I do will leave a residue. Since we're in a Roman Catholic-controlled country, this nation is constantly under the watchful eye of Heaven." Serafall explained casually as she settled into the couch.
There was a note of annoyance in her voice.
"Hmmm... I see. That makes sense. After all, Scandinavia is less than 800 kilometers to the north." I stroked my chin, trying to make sense of the situation.
"Indeedโฆ you're right. The majority of the Baltic countries are under the church's watch. And with the population being relatively small, more supernatural events can happen here." She provided insight from a supernatural perspective.
"A line of border nationsโฆ I get it..." I mused, thinking back on what I knew about Norse culture. Their runes magic, Loki being a troublemaker, Odin'sโฆ peculiarities, and Fafnir, the dragon who had been resurrected. Another dragon, Jรถrmungandr, was supposedly sleeping at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Lazy ass.
Not to mention, their valkyries are quite attractive.
That's about the depth of my knowledge. Most of it came from Venelana, which told me that much of their mythology is rooted in truth. Except for Ragnarokโit wasn't the world-ending event people think it was, but more like a civil warโฆ
"Yes. If I cast barriers here, it could cause a stir with both pantheons since the signature would be from meโa Satan. The diplomatic repercussions would be massive for my race. So, Masterโฆ please don't send me to do it." For a moment, she tried to look tearful, but the attempt fell flat.
"Yeah, I get it. I won't be sending you." I sighed after seeing her fail. She pouted at me, disappointed I didn't let her act cute.
"Oh? So, you're planning to do something amazing and unconventional, right?" She perked up, quickly recovering from her failure.
"Indeed. From what Venelana taught me, barrier magic is simply a wall of magic, which can take various formsโfrom physical to sensory." I shared what I remembered from my studies with my first devil familiar.
"Yes... that's the gist of it. I assume you're planning something special?" she asked, her tone filled with curiosity.
"Indeed, Sera. You'll see somethingโฆ interestingโฆ hopefully," I said, taking some unassuming clay and channeling my magic into it, shaping it into a ball.
Once the shape was complete, I brought the ball over to my transmutation circle and channeled more magic into it.
By this point, Serafall had already walked over to see what the ball was transforming into.

"Is thatโฆ a diamond? A basketball-sized diamond? What kind of transmutation circle is this?" she asked with wide eyes, clearly shocked.
"Don't tell me you can't create diamonds with devil magic?" I raised an eyebrow.
"We can, obviously! But they're not permanent like this! While devil magic is imagination-based, it only lasts as long as there's magic in it! What you've done here is a pure miracle!" Serafall exclaimed, shaking her head in disbelief. From the look on her face, she was genuinely impressed with my transmutation circle.
