After finishing up with the party night, it was already early morning. David, feeling slightly exhausted, dragged his body out of the bar.

Before leaving, he exchanged contact information not only with Jack but also with Rogge, who left his phone number with David in case something came up.

By the time they left the Afterlife Bar, it was already dawn. In the alley nearby, the NCPD had set up a cordon, likely due to some unlucky incident that had occurred.

David was too tired to get involved. He had earned over 20,000 euros tonight, so he decided to be extravagant and simply call a car to take him home directly. Once home, he washed up and went straight to bed.

The next day, David was awakened by the ringtone of a text message on his phone. He groggily reached for it and checked. There were several missed calls, all from Lucy. The last message read:

"David, I tried calling you a few times but couldn't reach you. Please reply when you see this text. Would you like to work together on another deal this afternoon?"

David rubbed his eyes and chuckled. This girl... she's really dedicated.

He replied casually: "OK."

Then, while checking the system interface, something caught his attention. Huh?!

David's pupils shrank as he saw that the frog cub had returned! But something was off. Unlike previous times when the frog cub returned healthy, it was lying on the bed looking sickly, and there was a bloody wound on its leg!

"What's going on?!"

David immediately clicked on the exclamation mark next to the system interface to see more details.

[Ding--! The frog cub has returned from its trip and brought back travel items, please check them carefully!]

[Ding--! Your frog cub has been injured. To avoid future trips, please treat it in time!]

"How could the frog cub be injured after traveling?!"

David was shocked. Did something happen in another world during its trip?

He immediately opened the mall to check.

As he browsed, he realized that the frog cub's trips weren't 100% safe. The name "Traveling Frog" seemed more like "The Bizarre Adventures of Froggy" at this point.

Shaking those thoughts away, David focused on buying healing items for the frog cub. However, he quickly discovered that the lowest-priced [Trauma Medicine] required x100 clovers, and his current balance was only x88!

"What? I can't buy it?"

David frowned. Are we just supposed to wait for the clovers to be harvested every day to treat the frog cub?

The system prompt popped up.

[Ding--! System prompt: There are not enough clovers, you can obtain more by recharging!]

David stared at the message, confused. Can you really get clovers by recharging?

[System prompt: After the host has enough money in the real world, they can access the recharge function.]

David immediately realized that he hadn't been able to recharge before because he didn't have enough money. But after earning over 20,000 euros yesterday, he now met the threshold.

"Top up!" David said without hesitation.

[Ding--! Recharge successful!]

[-10,000 euros, +1,000 clovers!]

David blinked in surprise. A top-up costs 10,000 euros?!

His eyelids twitched at the thought. This system couldn't have been developed by Arasaka, could it?

A quick calculation showed that 1 clover was worth 10 euros. The price was steep, but David couldn't waste time complaining now. He quickly bought [Trauma Medicine] x2 for -200 clovers, one for immediate use and the other for future emergencies.

Next, he checked the other available items in the mall. Since he'd already recharged, there was no point in saving his remaining balance.

David went ahead and bought [Armored Body] x1 for -500 clovers.

Item: [Armored Body]

Type: Disposable item

Effect: Permanently enhances the frog cub's body resistance, granting it mecha-like power.

After that, David bought [Violent Power] x1 for -300 clovers.

Item: [Power of Violence]

Type: Disposable item

Effect: Temporarily enhances the frog cub's strength, doubling its attack power for 3 minutes with a cooldown of 5 hours.

With the purchases made, all of the 10,000 euros he had just recharged were spent.

This system is really all about real money.

David didn't hesitate to use the remaining 88 clovers for a [Sausage Pizza] x1, for -30 clovers to treat the frog cub.

"Well, now that should do the trick."

David nodded in satisfaction. When we have enough for the next trip, we can buy some amulets and other items to ensure the frog cub's safety.

After using the [Trauma Medicine] on the frog cub, the wound on its foot instantly healed. The frog cub lay on the table, seemingly writing something, though David couldn't tell if it was a grudge diary or just some random scribbles.

"Alright, let's see what souvenirs you brought back this time."

David clicked on the [Souvenir] tab, and there was an item that resembled a book. He focused his mind to check the item's details.

Item: [Three-Color Domineering Training Manual]

David was stunned. Could it be that the frog cub went to a pirate world and brought back the legendary Three-Color Domineering method?!
