Cursed Bloodline: Awakened a Hidden Class in a Game World

Chapter 17: Muscular nuisance

With the plan set, Lucy opened the thick iron door, and the moment she did, the cheers of two hundred people cheering at the ongoing battlefield hit his ear.

Zane looked at the arena and the platform. A young man no more than twenty was pitted against a towering six-foot-tall muscular man.

The young man had black hair with strands of white, his body was skinny, and broken shackles held his arms and feet, tearing through his skin as he wore them.

His blood had formed a puddle beneath him, a sign that he had already been pummeled before Zane arrived. The muscular man had a grin on his face as he heard the cheers of the people. He walked toward the young man, wanting to end him.

Zane looked across the arena and saw the Count seated with the knight beside him. He smiled from ear to ear as he watched the fight.

Zane locked on him, and then it was go time. "Lucy, attack," he muttered. She immediately vanished. Zane also shot forward. He crossed the arena in a matter of seconds; barely anyone spotted him, aside from the knight, the muscular man, and the young man that was fighting.

They saw Zane shoot past like a bullet, headed right for the Count. But just before he was able to reach the Count, the knight stepped in, attacking with a slash.

Zane immediately came to a halt and leaped back. The sword missed his head by a few inches. He pulled out his dagger and rolled it into a reverse grip before lunging at the knight.

Clang.

Dagger met sword as both of them were now held in a stalemate. The knight looked at Zane with anger in his eyes, but Haie, on the other hand, could only smile.

"Who the hell are you?" the Count yelled from behind.

"Just a man about to kill you," Zane said.

"How dare you? Do you even know where you are? I'll have your head!" the Count roared.

Arrrrrrrrrghhhhh!

A loud scream came from the audience, and the next moment, blood began spraying. The Count looked back there and saw people dying, their heads getting chopped off, but it was so fast he couldn't understand what was going on.

"I guess she has started, so should I," Zane said, and then summoned his drain claw on one hand. He pushed the knight back with one hand and then attacked with the drain claw. The knight retreated quickly, but the tip of the claws dug into his skin and immediately drew blood.

Immediately the claws tasted blood, the effect kicked in, adding fifty percent of stats to Zane. And to add the fact that it was almost midnight, he was several times more powerful.

"My Lord, please escape while you can. I'll hold this man back," the knight said. By now the entire arena had broken into chaos, with people trying to escape the angel of death that was within them.

"Hahaha, escape? Even if you somehow manage to hold me back, your master will be killed before he can get to any door. Your death here is inevitable, sadly," Zane said and lunged forward. He spun his dagger and went for the slash, targeting the neck.

The knight pulled his head back and dodged the attack, but the immense speed and agility that Zane had wasn't something he could overcome, as Zane turned into a spin and sent a kick right for the knight's face.

His leg slammed into the knight's head, skin and flesh jiggling, mouth open and spit flying all around. He shot through the air and slammed into a wall.

"Raven City is honestly terrible. This is their best fighter?" Zane mocked before he lunged forward again. The knight got on his feet again, eyes burning hot with fury.

With his level, no one should be able to take him down—no one. And the truth was that it shouldn't be possible. Zane during the day would not be able to kill the knight, but now under the soft and beautiful light of the moon, he was twice as strong, and with an A-ranked martial art, he was surely going to dominate.

The knight's sword exploded with flames as he swung to attack. Zane dodged the blade with ease and lunged for his stomach, the tip of his blade already touching the armor and slicing through it.

It would be over the moment the blade cut deep into the knight, but then, Zane felt a hand on his shoulder. It grabbed him and pulled him back.

Zane flipped in the air and landed on his feet, his head bowed and two arms by his side as he skidded back.

He slowly raised his head to see who stopped him. His eyes glowed red. His gaze picked on the muscular fighter that had been on the platform.

"This bastard, what the hell is he trying to do?" Zane wondered. He looked above the head of the man and saw a good level fifteen. It was a terrifying level to have in this city, but to Zane it was weak and useless.

"Tsk, I got too carried away and stopped watching my surroundings. I allowed this idiot to touch me. Either way, I'll make him regret that." Zane got angry, feeling disrespected by this dude.

And to make matters worse, the man stood there in front of the knight like he was some guardian that had fallen from the heavens.

Zane spun his dagger one time, his bloodlust seeped out—pure, unadulterated, and very heavy. He took one step forward and vanished.

The muscular man was stunned. He looked around in a panic to find Zane, but he couldn't.

"Above you!" the knight called out. The muscular man looked up, but before he could try to stop Zane, a dagger lunged into his eyes. Zane used his body weight to pull the dagger down, cutting through the skull into the neck, into the chest, and out the side of the abdomen.
