Crushing flags and claiming the Villainess

Chapter 2: Chapter 1- The Villainess

The concept of reincarnation was not new to Luke. He has

read and played games in which reincarnation was the most basic theme.

However, just like anyone else, he didn't think he would be experiencing reincarnation for real at some point

The rumors of being isekai-d after getting hit by a truck weren't fake. Take Luke for an example.

When he died, he was a tall guy of about 6'3 and a rugged build, given he was quite into sports. But now, looking at himself in the mirror, all Luke could gaze at was a teenager with golden blond hair and oceanic blue eyes.

Gone were the tanned skin and wide shoulders. All he could look at was lean physique and pristine white skin.

He had been staring at himself in the mirror for the past ten or so minutes and did everything to wake himself up if he was in a dream. However, even after the nth attempt, he couldn't shake himself off his sleep.

As such, only one conclusion remains.

'I have reincarnated…and no one else but as a character of 'Star Destiny.''

Star Destiny was the same game Luke was playing before his friend came knocking on his door to tell him about the reunion. The otome game with a female protagonist and action along with romance as its main genre.

This world was different from Earth since there were things like magic and swords. Unlike the world he comes from, this world works on a Monarchical system and there are things like monsters and dungeons in this world.

Truth be told, it was a dream for every isekai fan to be born into a world like this. To gain blessings, fight monsters, and build their own harem. However, Luke couldn't think of such things.

After all, neither he was the protagonist nor was he overpowered.

He was the Second Prince of the Kingdom—Austin von Thalorian—where this academy was built, and also, one of the potential male targets of the heroine.

Yes, the protagonist has a reverse harem, and now, Luke could become a part of that harem.

'Like hell!' Luke has no intention of joining that little gang and fawn over the dramatic protagonist.

The protagonist is a trouble magnet and the type of girl who leaves her opponent alive, just because everyone deserves a second chance kind of sh*t.

In the first place, it sounded so creepy to be a part of a group that has no other role than to flirt with a girl and get jealous of other harem members. It wasn't that Luke was prejudiced towards reverse harem, he hates polygamy as a whole.

Just stick to one goddamn partner if you love them!

Luke only played this game because it had interesting characters(not the harem members) and the fight scenes were badass. However, little did he think that he would reincarnate into the same game he was playing.

'I didn't even finish it…' Luke was around that preparation arc before the final battle. So he somehow knows all the locations of the artifacts and legendary items. And also, he has some information about the final boss, which surely would be quite helpful.

'But still…I have mediocre skill and not much considerable potential…' Sure, there were some merits of being the Prince; however, as a person, he wasn't strong enough to even come in the top ten.

Luke sat down on the bed and thought closely.

He didn't have any idea at what point he had reincarnated and how much time remained before the graduation—around that time the final battle occurred—that's why his current priority lies in knowing about the world around him.

**KNOCK**

Hearing the knock, Luke(Austin) made his way toward the door and asked, "Who is it?"

"It's me, master, Sebastian."

Hearing that voice, Luke took a deep breath. He doesn't have Austin's memories and facing this man under these circumstances would be disastrous.

"Ah, I am changing. What is it?" He asked, making some excuses. He couldn't meet Sebastian since the man was too observant and had known Austin since his childhood.

"The trial is about to begin in half an hour and the headmaster has summoned you."

Trials? Trials!

"Ah, okay. Umm, has anyone decided to fight from the other side?" Just to be on the safe side, Austin added.

"No, young master. No one is willing to fight for Lady Valerie."

His suspicion was confirmed, "Okay, you can go. I will be there."

Once the butler left Austin heaved a sigh. He knew it.

The trials of villainess—Valerie Hawthorne—the villainess of the story and someone who would prove to be one of the biggest obstacles for the Protagonist.

Not only is she strong but exceptionally beautiful as well. A sharp tongue and a strict personality. And because of her tragic end, many people, including Luke, like her more than the Protagonist.

She has a bad past and an unfortunate future. In all honesty, she suffers more than the protagonist ever had. And in the end, her death was very cruel.

Many of the gamers thought she deserved it after how much she caused the protagonist trouble, but Luke held a different opinion.

Valerie was snatched from her love by the protagonist. Naturally, anyone would turn into a villain.

Truth be told, it was Valerie with whom Luke could sympathize.

And now, she is getting framed for the crime of breaking the Spirit Shard—a weapon connected with one's soul—of the main heroine.

This trial is the beginning of Valerie's downfall and he, Austin, would play a massive role in this event.

Looking at himself in the mirror, Luke couldn't help but scoff, "What a scumbag I am to support a different woman while my fiancée is in trouble…"

Valerie is Austin's fiancée, and not only Austin takes the Protagonist's side today, but he also insults Valerie in front of everyone before breaking off the engagement.

Yes, an actual scumbag

But now that Luke has taken over,

'Like hell, I would let the canon repeat.'
