Chapter 120: Saint Seiya Cosmo
— — — — —
With a blink, the familiar interface of the Dimensional Forum appeared above Ryo's spiritual core.
Still the same old layout—one question after another popping up.
But oddly enough, aside from Aizen and Kanae Kocho, the third person—who was still in some kind of dormant state—hadn't posted anything new.
Ryo raised an eyebrow. That was unexpected. But with the forum's system having just gone through a major upgrade, he figured he couldn't focus on that right now anyway.
He gave the forum a quick glance—it still had that same nostalgic look and feel. But when he tapped on his avatar, a brand-new profile page popped up:
[User: Ryo Yagami]
[Spiritual Rank: Five-Digit Mythic]
[Physical Body: Four-Digit Basic]
[Divinity: Flash Blaze (Fire) / Demon / Transformation]
[Gift:
◉Hōgyoku (Four-Digit Mythic)
◉Zanpakutō (Four-Digit Elite)
◉Reishi Mastery (Five-Digit Legendary)
◉Boundary: Sonído (Five-Digit Legendary)
[Highest Authorization Gift: Dimensional Forum]
[Overall Rating: Four-Digit (Elite)]
[Rating Scale: Basic → Elite → Legendary → Mythic]
[Note: Actual combat power varies by individual. Please do not rely too heavily on system ratings. Exercise caution in dangerous situations.]
...
Ryo couldn't help but let out a laugh. "Telling me not to trust the system's ratings? That's a new one."
Most people's cheat systems bend over backwards to make them all-powerful in a few weeks—some even push them to speed-run romance plots. But his? His came right out and told him: Don't get cocky, or you're dead.
"Was this system developed by some master of cautious living?" he muttered.
After scanning through the character sheet and finding nothing especially new, Ryo closed the window and moved on to the notification tab.
Just as expected, the top of the list showed two bold, glowing invitations—from Aizen and Kanae Kocho.
And below that… well, it was basically a massive backlog of flirt-heavy chat logs between him and Kanae. Over a thousand interactions, half of which could probably be classified as borderline couple jesting.
Actually, with all the back-and-forth between him and Kanae, plus chats with Shinobu, Kanao, Makomo, Nezuko, and even Mitsuri, this place was turning into a full-blown social hub. At this point, the Dimensional Forum might as well rebrand itself as a chat group.
Ryo sighed. "Most people's forums come with full features... mine looks like it was cobbled together in beta testing."
Pushing aside the chat menu, Ryo finally turned to the last tab: Points.
Currently showing a very generous number: 102,020
His eyes lit up.
Cracking his knuckles, Ryo eagerly opened the points log.
• Responded to Kanae Kocho's question – earned 1,000 points
• Integrated the "Demon Slayer" world (customized by user) into Little Garden's observation field – earned 100,000 points
• First-time observation of an alternate world triggered system link between Forum and Little Garden Core – unlocked "Special Power System Exchange"
Ryo blinked. "So this is where the real loot is."
He didn't waste any time. Excited, he tapped on the new system exchange.
Available Power Systems (100,000 Points Each):
•Ki (from Dragon Ball)
•Cosmo (from Saint Seiya)
•Magnet Field Control (from unknown Manhua)
All three options were tempting—and all priced just right to wipe out his entire point stash in one go. Almost like the Forum knew exactly how much he had and was baiting him.
But then came the real dilemma.
He rubbed his temples.
"Okay, so let's break it down. Ki—super destructive, sure. But most of that's tied to Saiyan bloodlines. I'm not a Saiyan. So no destructive power. Pass."
"Cosmo? That's Saint Seiya's deal. Looks cool, and I've heard it can evolve into some serious divine-tier nonsense, but there's a huge investment curve. You need Cloths, techniques, and the Ninth Sense sounds... kinda sus."
"Magnetic Field Control? At limit it lets you control the fundamental force of the universe and self-destruct to erase everything. Sounds... fun?"
He paused.
"All three of these sound like traps. But also... like opportunities."
He started mentally reviewing the top-tier versions of each system.
Ki? Zeno—the Omni-King. The Ruler of twelve universes.
Cosmo? Supergod Chronos—the guy who held the multiverse inside an hourglass.
Magnetic Field? Ends with the ability to erase a universe, but also dying with it.
They were all ridiculously OP, but the path there wasn't clear—or guaranteed.
Still, if he had to pick, Cosmo probably had the highest ceiling... and also seemed the most adaptable.
Ryo scratched his chin. "Would Athena come asking for royalties if I pick this?"
Still, curiosity got the better of him.
He typed into the forum: "Can I train Ki up to Zeno's level?"
[Response: Compatible with Little Garden rules. Possible.]
Ryo nodded. Alright, decent start.
Next: "What about Chronos' tier?"
[Response: Uncharted domain. Progression unclear.]
"Okay... What's the final level of Magnetic Field?"
[Response: Reachable—controlled self-destruction with universe-erasing potential. High probability of triggering 'Humanity's Final Trial' classification.]
"Alright, that settles it. I'm going with Cosmo."
Two were predictable. One was an unknown that could break limits.
And Ryo? He was a sucker for the unknown.
"Sixth sense abilities, seventh sense for lightspeed combat, eighth sense to ignore rules... What's not to love? That's god-tier flexibility."
"Ninth sense might be tricky, yeah—something about cutting away good, evil, and obsession to become a being of pure void. But I've also heard of this 'Divine Cosmos' power and 'Will of the Gods'—supposedly on par with the Ninth Sense, maybe even tied to the cosmic source itself."
"And that Gods thing—doesn't it make a god's soul immortal and unkillable? Like, it can only be sealed, not destroyed?"
[Response: Confirmed. Will of the Gods grants divine soul immortality.]
Ryo raised an eyebrow. "If I attain that... what's my ranking in Little Garden?"
[Response: Three-Digit (Freak). If all authorities are unified and spiritual core is unlocked, entry into the Full Authority Two-Digit tier is possible.]
"And what about the Saint Seiya Chronos?"
[Response: One-Digit tier—unconfirmed domain. Beyond current observation capabilities. The 'Chronos Spiritual Core' in Little Garden is incomplete and cannot support Supergod Chronos' full descent.]
Ryo sucked in a sharp breath.
"Old-school anime power scaling is just built different," he muttered.
If he ever bumped into characters like the Three Choushin from Tenchi Muyo, or Gurren Lagann-tier universe busters?
He'd be in real trouble.
Ryo grimaced. "Wait... am I actually gonna run into those freaks?"
[Response: Not recommended to enter such realms without permission.]
Translation: If you see a cosmic god-tier neighborhood, don't go knocking.
"Stick to what I can handle. Got it."
He sighed, rubbing his forehead. "So if I go with Cosmo, I'm not forced to visit the Saint Seiya world?"
[Response: Not required.]
"Phew. That's a relief." Still, the allure of Cosmo was too strong to pass up.
"So I'll need to craft my own Cloth? Eh, manageable."
With that, Ryo hit the Confirm Exchange button.
Cosmo System Acquired.
