Crossover: The Problem Human of [Arcadia]

Chapter 115: Avalon

Leticia's question didn't seem to bother Scathach in the slightest. Instead of responding harshly, she simply pulled out the chair next to Ryo and sat down, saying casually: "I'm here under direct orders from the Queen."

After speaking, she turned to glance at Ryo, her voice laced with amusement.

"Sitting here shouldn't be a problem… right, Mister new leader of [No Name], Ryo Yagami?"

She crossed her legs elegantly. The tight-fitting butler outfit hugged her tall, statuesque frame perfectly, and that one smooth movement only served to highlight her curves all the more.

"What a stunning woman…" Ryo thought to himself, impressed. Then he replied calmly:

"A request from The Witch of Dun Scaith? Of course, I wouldn't refuse."

Not that he had much choice anyway—Scathach had already sat down. It's not like he could just tell her to leave.

If Shiroyasha were here, maybe she'd say something reckless out of pure stubbornness. But Ryo Yagami? Nah.

And he was the kind of guy who had a soft spot for good-looking faces. Always had been. Always would be.

After saying that, Ryo turned to the two standing behind Scathach—Aishelia Perseus and Laius Perseus—and said: "Go ahead, have a seat too."

Once they sat down, Leticia looked at them in surprise and asked. "People from Perseus… working together with the Queen Halloween's knights?"

Laius scowled and glared at Scathach, his voice full of disdain: "Working together? Hardly. I'm only here because the gods ordered me to keep an eye on this dangerous woman."

Ryo immediately understood what he meant by "gods"—he was talking about the Greek pantheon.

Even though Perseus had joined the [Thousand Eyes] community, their true allegiance still lay with Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom.

That's also why they were in charge of guarding Algol—the Demon star that was technically one of Athena's trophies from a past victory.

In a way, Algol had pinned her hopes on Ryo helping her escape that surveillance.

Well, to be more accurate, that arrogant demon star cared more about becoming beautiful than escaping.

"Keep an eye on me? You wish you were good enough."

Scathach chuckled, waving over a nearby server. Then she looked over at Aishelia with a teasing smirk and said: "Besides you, the so-called 'leader,' Perseus doesn't have anyone worth fighting."

Ryo immediately noticed Laius grinding his teeth in anger, though there was a hint of fear in his expression too.

Clearly, he'd been beaten up by Scathach before.

And judging by what she just said, it sounded like she had stormed Perseus' base solo and fought them all herself—only stopping when Aishelia stepped in.

Unfazed by the provocation, Aishelia responded coldly:

"If you're looking for a rematch, I would be more than happy to oblige."

The air suddenly turned tense.

But Scathach just smiled as she took the menu from the waitperson and said:

"You're not enough to beat me. If you want to actually take me down, you'll need to escalate this to your gods. Only someone like her—the Greek goddess of wisdom—could even pique my interest."

She casually placed her order: "One Orsi red tea and a slice of mousse cake."

Aishelia, still stone-faced, replied, "Double espresso for me."

Then she narrowed her eyes and said sharply. "Whether you say it or not doesn't matter. If you so much as twitch the wrong way, Lady Athena will come down herself to deal with you."

"Oh my, no wonder the lower floors say your gods are the most aggressive," Scathach teased playfully. "It must be tough for your goddess—keeping her position in the four-digit rank just to protect the lower realms. I bet the pressure from the Cross religion isn't fun either, huh?"

Aishelia's expression darkened, her brows twitching. It looked like she was ready to fight any second.

Just then, Ryo tapped the table and said calmly: "Look, I don't care about the drama between you upper-tier types. But if you start a fight in my territory, don't blame me when an invisible snake bites you in the back."

"Oh?"

Scathach raised an eyebrow, genuinely intrigued. She studied Ryo for a moment, then smiled with interest.

"You're an odd one… No signs of bloodlust or battle, but your body's already at the right level. [No Name]'s new leader, huh? Fascinating."

She took a small sip of her milk tea and added: "I'm starting to see why the Queen sent me to invite you."

"Invite me?"

Aishelia, Laius, and Leticia were all visibly stunned.

Laius even widened his eyes in shock. "Wait… you mean that invitation…?"

"That's right," Scathach replied with a grin. "An invitation to join Avalon."

She set down her tea and looked at Ryo with sparkling eyes.

"The Queen Halloween's personal knight order—Avalon. So? Interested in joining?"

Laius muttered in disbelief. "Unreal… Avalon, a four-digit-level knight order, actually inviting an outsider ranked in the five digits…"

Avalon—the Queen Halloween's direct knight corps.

A powerful collective that wielded the gifts of the entire Round Table. Nearly all its members were four-digit rankers.

And every single official member was a guardian knight personally recognized by the Queen herself.

They were almost exclusively trained internally. On rare occasions, they would extend invitations to strong outsiders—but only if they were already four-digit level.

Even putting aside whether Ryo Yagami qualified, the fact that the Queen Halloween would break protocol and invite a five-digit-ranked outsider was already explosive news in the higher circles of Little Garden.

Scathach didn't pay any attention to Laius' shock. She just smiled at Ryo and said:

"So? Give it some thought. If you're interested, the Queen's willing to let you inherit the title of Gawain—or even Lancelot."

Titles among the Round Table knights weren't just labels—they were inherited. Meaning, if Ryo accepted, he could choose either knight's divine gift.

In other words, it was a fast-track to become a four-digit ranker.

Leticia fell silent.

She couldn't make this decision for him. So she chose to say nothing.

But more than that, she trusted him. She was sure Ryo wouldn't accept the Queen's offer.

And then, as Scathach waited patiently with a confident smile, Ryo's lips curled into a smirk.

"Instead of becoming Gawain or Lancelot in Avalon… I'd rather be the leader of Queen Halloween herself."

Ryo's answer was crystal clear: If you want me to join—make me the leader.
