Criminal X : Epitome Of Evil

Chapter 444: Blood Under Blue Eyes

Young was in trouble.

He was under the feet of the blue-eyed criminal.

His right foot was on the neck of the twelve year old slave and the boy was suffering. He was facing trouble breathing.

Everyone saw it and they came to only one conclusion.

Young would die.

He would be the first and only one to die in the training today.

How did he come to that? How did he become like that? No one cared and that wasn't important right now either. The only thing mattered was that the slave was near death.

Young had a sword in the start but now the sword was lying far away from him.

He was staring at the face of the criminal and he saw his death in those eyes.

The criminal had no emotion on his face and with those cold eyes, he locked his gaze with Young. He would watch the boy dying in front of him. He would watch the boy be devoid of his soul right in front of his eyes. He would see the soul leaving the boy's body in front of his eyes.

The soldiers watching it, jerked their heads at Pablo wondering if the Marshal would get up and stop the fight.

But when they saw Pablo doing nothing and sitting cross-legged on the stage, they figured he wouldn't move an inch.

Young was on his own.

The soldiers averted their eyes and watched the boy struggling.

The slave was hitting the leg of the man with his hands but the man felt nothing. He only watched the boy struggling.

From the stage, Pablo watched the criminal and he recalled his face.

Before coming to Ground 2, Pablo had received some papers from the king about the criminals who would be coming for the training.

And the criminal paired with Young, Pablo knew him.

Out of the ten criminals whom Pablo respected a little, this criminal was at the top of those criminals.

This man had killed countless people. He was the criminal among the criminals.

The only bigger criminal on the ground other than this man was Pablo himself.

The weakest fighter got the sickest criminal as his partner.

Cupid also saw the scene and she couldn't hold herself back.

"Save him, Pablo. Yes, he failed the training. Punish him how you want but just don't let him die like this. He is young. He doesn't deserve to die like this. He did nothing wrong. Save him." She cried. She didn't order. She just asked Pablo to save the boy with all the conviction she had in her heart.

But Pablo had already made up his mind and once he made it, he won't go back no matter how much anyone begs. So, he simply ignored the Angel.

Cupid kept on shouting but no words fell on his ears as he kept watching the scene.

The criminal kept his foot on Young's neck and as time went on, the slave's speed of hitting the leg of the criminal became slower and slower.

Young had nothing special like Lashes and Brownie. He wasn't the tallest, he wasn't the smartest. He was simply a boy who was an orphan and then a slave.

From the moment he became conscious of the world, he found himself in Quintus. He was forced to do labor and he spent his childhood along with other slaves.

He had no special strength and he had no special skills. He also had no memories that could help him turn his situation around.

The crux of everything was this:

Young had lost the fight and if nothing happened to the criminal in front of him, the young boy would die.

The soldiers surrounding the pair were also tense and they felt chills when they saw the eyes of the criminal.

His blue eyes lacked any kind of humanity and if they had to compare them with something, then they matched Pablo's eyes.

When Pablo kills someone, he also has the same kind of eyes. Draxus and Flashy knew all about it.

If the eyes of the criminal were red, then they would have believed that they were Pablo's eyes. They would have mistaken the criminal's eyes for Pablo's eyes. And that, speaks a lot for itself.

It didn't look like the criminal would stop the fight and it didn't look like the criminal would do anything else to kill the slave.

His intentions were clear. He would slowly choke the slave by his feet on the boy's neck and watch the kid breathe his last breath.

Everyone was tense but Pablo did nothing. He was in the same position as before. He didn't even frown at the scene. He would definitely watch the slave die.

However, among the soldiers, there was one man who knew why Pablo wasn't helping the slave.

The reason was simple. He was waiting for something.

And this man knew what the Marshal, or… what his Czar was waiting for.

Draxus looked around the soldiers and they all had worry written all over their faces.

If they had paid attention to Czar words, then they wouldn't be looking like this.

Draxus shook his head.

Guess, I'll have to do it myself.

He raised his hand and a shadow came near his feet.

He was just about to drop inside it when in the corner of his eyes, he saw something.

As soon as he saw it, his lips curled up.

Plan cancel, it seems.

Draxus sent the shadow back from where it came from as he didn't need to do anything now.

He crossed his arms in front of his chest and watched things unfolding.

Pablo did the same and he was really waiting for something.

The criminal pushed his feet harder on the neck of the slave and now Young's throat was completely under the feet of the man.

The criminal pushed harder and harder and then…

SHRILL!

PUCKK!

Something happened.

Young's eyes widened.

Cupid's mouth went agape.

Pablo and Draxus smiled.

The criminal finally showed some expressions as his gaze drifted down towards the left side of his chest.

There, he saw something unexpected.

He was just about to kill the slave in front of him when...

A sword pierced his heart.
