Chapter 323: Atheist No More
[ One of the Special Skills got activated! ]
[ Special Skill given by God Demeter : Freak Of Nature ]
[ This Skill allows you to become the God of Nature but only for one hour. You can do anything with Nature during the use of this skill. When you will use this Skill, you'll become a Freak of Nature. ]
[ Note (1) : You can only control things related to Nature. Air, land water, trees, plants all these things come under it. You can't do something impossible like slamming the whole sky on someone's head. ]
[ Note (2) : You can only use this Skill once per year. ]
Pablo already knew what this Skill does so he paid no attention to the system.
But Draxus definitely didn't know what was happening.
The air around Pablo roamed his body in circles as if it was hugging him.
His hairs fluttered and flower petals came from nowhere.
Pablo had his eyes closed and he was lifted in the air.
Draxus couldn't believe his eyes. He had seen Pablo in God mode so he thought this was the same thing, but he soon realized it was not the same thing at all. It was another thing altogether.
Leaves fell on Pablo's hands, flowers bloomed in the alley they were in, the garbage wasn't stinking anymore and when Pablo opened his eyes, Draxus finally figured it out…
Pablo had become Nature itself.
The red eyes of Pablo had now turned green and Draxus felt if he looked inside them, he would be lost in the serene view of nature.
"What have you become, Czar?"
Pablo descended down from the air and stood before Draxus.
"No time for questions. I'll take care of everything."
Draxus agreed. He asked no questions. He felt an urge to obey Pablo's every word when he was in this form.
Standing behind Pablo, Draxus left everything to his master.
"First we should leave from here." Pablo said and waved his hands.
The next moment, the ground swallowed all three people.
Pablo, Draxus and Whitey.
Draxus looked around and there was only darkness. But he could see because of his affinity with darkness and because Pablo was emitting white glow as well.
Pablo's back was in front of him and he wondered if Pablo could see everything too.
'These Skills are amazing.'
Pablo could not only see, he could feel each pulse of the land. The mud, water, air, everything related to nature were talking to him. They were playing music in his ears.
"Gods themselves gave these Skills after all." Cupid said. She was also under the ground.
Pablo had constructed a big enough space underground so that all three of them could fit and oxygen was also there.
"Wake up." Pablo said.
There was only one person who wasn't awake. Whitey.
Just after Pablo gave that command, he felt some sensation on his palm.
Whitey was lying in front of him and Pablo outstretched his palm to the Abyssal Butcher.
SPLASH!
A current of water shot out of Pablo's palm and it washed Whitey's entire body.
"Hahhhh!"
Whitey jolted awake.
He sat upright.
He looked around.
He looked in front of him.
He saw Pablo.
"What is all this? Who are you? Where am I?" Whitey asked rapid questions.
Pablo smiled. "This is your grave."
Whitey's eyes widened. "We are under the ground?"
"You are a smart one."
"Why? Who are you?"
Pablo sat on one knee, looking at Whitey's eyes.
"I was the one who killed Dilinger."
Whitey's brows shot up. "Who the hell are you!?"
Pablo was a different person right now. His hairs had turned dark green, his eyes were green. Whitey couldn't recognize Pablo. But Pablo was a generous man, so he helped the bald Abyssal Butcher.
"I am Pablo Castillo."
He shared the name himself and that was all it took for Whitey to understand everything.
"Marshal was right! It's you who is killing the soldiers. Why are you doing this?"
"Do you remember Desper slum? The one where you and your other four friends had fun with a girl while her brother watched?"
Whitey went silent. Pablo's words did ring a bell inside his mind.
"What of it?" Whitey said.
"So you remember it?" Pablo asked.
"Yes. Of course. I had too much fun that day."
Pablo's hand twitched.
"I am that brother."
Whitey went silent again. He stared at Pablo. He finally recalled everything.
"So that's why you are killing us. I get it." Whitey was calm.
"Yes. You will die today too."
Whitey laughed. "I can't die, bastard. I will always heal. I will crawl out of this ground and tell everyone about you. You will be the one who dies."
Pablo sighed. "You are too confident in your Ego. But very soon…"
He stood up from his knee and looked down at Whitey.
"You will curse this very same ability of yours."
Whitey opened his mouth but Pablo waved his hands.
A thick root sprouted from the ground and wrapped itself on Whitey's mouth. He won't be able to speak now.
"Crawl out of the ground, you say?" Pablo snapped his fingers.
WHOOP!
All three of them went deeper in the ground.
And only when Draxus felt hot, did Pablo stop.
"Now we are five hundred feet under Seraphim. Even if you somehow manage to move after what I will do to you, then it will take you forever to reach the ground."
Whitey began to feel the fear.
He was only able to see Pablo because Pablo had light emanating from his body. If Pablo went away, Whitey would only be left with darkness. He wanted to say something but the thick root was stopping him from doing so.
"Now, let's make you hate your Ego."
Pablo waved his right hand.
Roots and branches sprouted from the ground.
They held Whitey's legs and made them straight. Now he was again lying on the ground. He wasn't sitting anymore.
His hands were already tied behind his back but Pablo made branches tie those hands even more.
Pablo then manifested a wooden plain bed below Whitey. Now he was lying on that bed.
Whitey had no idea what was going to happen but he sure as hell was terrified.
"Now comes the best part."
Pablo snapped his fingers and from the surface of the plain bed… spikes came out.
Long, thick, pointed wooden spikes. The surface of the bed wasn't plain anymore.
And since Whitey was lying on the bed, the spikes punctured his entire body. All his pores got stabbed with those spikes.
He let out screams but they were just muffle.
But Pablo wasn't done yet.
He snapped his fingers once more and from above Whitey, one more plain wooden appeared.
Whitey's eyes widened as he figured what would happen now.
The plain bed came closer to Whitey and then one more snap of Pablo's fingers, manifested spikes on the second bed as well.
PLUCK!
They pierced Whitey from above too.
Whitey was now sandwich between spikes.
Everything about him was no more.
His eyes, nose, heart, forehead, brain, lungs everything was punctured.
But the worst part hadn't come yet.
Whitey began to heal.
His body started to heal while the spikes were still inside his body.
His eyes however, healed constantly and got punctured constantly. He was forever blind now as on his sockets, the wooden spikes had taken residence.
"Now to make the spikes stronger and sturdier…"
Pablo waved his hands once more and in a second, the wooden spikes and the bed were covered with stone.
Whitey would constantly feel pain and he would constantly heal.
He won't die but he would surely wish for death.
The Ego he was so proud of became his biggest cause of torment.
Draxus watched the butchered Whitey with pity. He had no idea how Pablo came up with this sort of thing.
"What if he still tries to get out of here, czar? He can constantly heal so he can just forcefully move his body to get out of here."
Draxus asked a logical question and Pablo answered right away..
"Who said I am done?"
Draxus stopped speaking. Pablo wasn't done yet. He had something more in his mind.
Not saying anything further, Pablo waved his hands once more.
And the place they were in became wider.
Pablo created a room deep in the underground.
After that, he snapped his fingers again and a hole appeared on the ground they were standing on.
Draxus didn't understand its significance but after a second, he got it.
A bright red liquid seeped out of the hole.
"Lava?"
Draxus jerked his head at Pablo.
"Don't worry. You won't die."
Soon, lava filled the entire room and Draxus felt nothing.
Whitey however felt the agonies of centuries.
His skin burned and healed, burned and healed, burned and healed. He was caught in a cycle.
After a few more minutes, lava was filled inside the underground room to the brim and Pablo nodded.
"This will do. I will cover the outer side of this place with big heavy rocks so even if he endured all this, he won't be able to break free from here. The rocks will stop him."
Pablo snapped his fingers and as he had visioned, big boulders covered the underground room from all around from outside.
"We are done." Pablo finally said.
Draxus sighed. "I am glad I befriended you, czar. I don't ever want to be on your bad side."
Pablo said nothing and looked at Whitey.
"Stay here and repent about what you have done. You could have used your Ego to save that girl but you chose to rape her and leave her to die. Curse the Gods for giving you your Ego and beg those same Gods to grant you death."
Pablo finished speaking and floated in the air.
He made Draxus fly as well.
The air bent to Pablo's will.
Soon, the boulders shifted, giving a path to Draxus and Pablo and after they left, the Boulders again sealed the room from outside.
On the way, Draxus spoke :
"I don't think he believes in God, czar. He won't ask them for death."
Pablo remained silent for a while but eventually he answered…
"He will. Only at times like this do humans believe in Gods."
