Howdy Folks
Howdy everyone,
I believe I should have my new book covers here soonish. Yay. Once they arrive, I'll be editing all of the chapters within the series and volumizing for efficiency. This week, I turned in the edited form of Book One, Symphony: The Alpha Protocol. I'm also about four chapters away from ending Book 3. A few changes to note for the book one edits.
1. If you've seen the first chapter recently, you know I've already changed quite a bit of that.
2. I was forced to modify a few smaller items, including my Super Java Moss. Fixes some ecological issues that popped up early in the series
3. Fixed ALL of Virgil's contraction use, unless it was intended that way
4. Smoothed out the ruffles in why Walker needed to advance time
5. more...like a lot more. I also gave it a much stronger ending as its novelized rather than web-formed.
I'll update here when it releases, as many of the RR authors do. But, I'm also looking at stopping all writing until I get my book two edits out. In fact, I'm honestly considering editing book three as well so I can make sure I not only satisfy Podium's contract, but so I have a strong foundational understanding of everything that needs to happen in book four for a solid ending. This series moves in smaller and bigger arcs simultaneously.
Unlock system, play with system, systems moves Walker forward in the protocol.
Action scenes.
Self-discovery.
Unlock system...repeat
That's normal for most books. But then there are the bigger arcs. What you're reading right now is pivotal for all future books in the Symphony series. Nothing will make sense without it. When I started writing this, as I've said in the past, it was with a powerful focus on Worldbuilding. By that, and the title, I don't necessarily mean the actual building of worlds. It's a pun. I'm using this series to build up every series that comes after. It's about developing magic, systems, LitRPG elements, and future characterizations of indigenous populations. I'm "Worldbuilding", not "building worlds".
Another fun note that only one person has ever pointed out. I tried to include every genre of all LitRPG here at once.
Isekai (Walker)
Progression Fantasy, i.e. the building of internal power through progressive movements (Awakenings)
Villain protagonist (Mr. Nobody and the Slicer)
Re: (Kind of with Mr. Nobody, since he's a future image. But it gets a little tricky.)
Monster protagonist (The Slicer)
Kingdom building (Territory system elements forthcoming)
War system (Book 4)
Religious development (The Follower system, needs a lot of editing tweaks to make it work more fluidly)
Post-Apocalyptic Earth (Alexander)
Slice of Life (Book 4)
Dungeon Core (The Alpha Protocol)
Harem (NO)
Crunchy (Book 4)
VRMMORPG (Visions from the Book of Souls, not perfect)
Tamer (Considering it for Book 4)
Cards (Considering it for Book 4)
Comedy (Aww yahh)
Grey will be a blend of Xianxia and LitRPG, based on how I did the skill system. Of course, there will be some MAJOR twists coming up. Honestly, my Beta Readers are a little nervous about how Book 4 ends. But to me, it's the perfect ending, and its the best way for things to move forward. We'll see!
Did a lot of those genre's only get touched on? Sure. But it's still fun to throw in there.
Anyways (smooth), I'm also starting to add Patreon Merch to my page. For right now, I'm only adding in one of a kind Virgil stickers. That will be expanded on with shirts and maybe posters as I find the time and inclination to get them made. My Patreon is going to go dark in a few weeks (with a monetary pause) so I can knock out a shit ton of editing. This is all a rough draft, so my editing is rather profound and long.
For anyone interested in joining the Patreon, I would greatly appreciate it. I even do a monthly newsletter and author's notes. For anyone interested in yelling at me on discord, just make sure you click the rules and agree with them.
I just wanted to touch base and then leave you guys alone for a good while. Book three should end for you fellas sometime around October. I'll do an announcement for the pending book 1 release, and otherwise, I'll talk to you guys and gals when I get the chance (Guys is non-gendered right?). Thank you so so much for reading my story. I really appreciate everyone here from the bottom of my heart.
