Chapter 21: Chapter 21
Things are going better than I imagined, it's amazing the number of failed musicians, or rather, unsuccessful ones, I guess some things never change. Anyway, this was good for my plan, Albert managed to gather a large group of people, Grandma Maria also didn't fall behind, bringing along a large group of unlucky singers. I would like to search for some talents, but this should be enough for now.
The day of the final competition finally arrived, but I have to admit it was a bit different than I imagined. The competition wouldn't take place in just a few days, but over the course of 3 years. All the competitors must submit their story-focused games, which will be placed in an exclusive section of Eternal Dream. For one year, these games will be available for free testing, and they will be categorized. I don't know how they will classify everything, but that's their problem. I just hope that Detroit Become Human can get enough attention. My biggest fear is that the game will simply disappear among the millions of other games.
"So that's it, Luna can send it." "Ok."
I made some modifications here and there, and I also increased the player's choices a lot. With Luna's help, creating branches for the choices was very simple. Now I just need to wait.
"I hope my marketing works."

Third-person POV
......

"Huh?! Who's calling, dear?"
Elena looked at her husband, and with a wave of her hand, she got up and answered the call. Raising her wrist, a holographic image of Mark appeared.
"You may speak, Lockhart."
Upon hearing Elena's voice, Mark immediately became tense.
"Good morning, General. I would like to inform you that my son has just released a new work."
"Oh?! That's great news. I was planning on visiting my granddaughter today. We can watch it together."
"... Ma'am, well, actually, it's not a movie. My son has always wanted to create games, so he decided to participate in a competition."
"Games?! Why games? I would understand if it were movies outside of animation, but games are a waste of talent."
Elena furrowed her eyebrows. This was normal. In the past few years, Alex had produced many animations, and even though he didn't pay attention, he had gained a really large number of fans. Elena Maxwell, a 785-year-old lady, was perhaps the biggest fan Alex had gained in recent years. She even created a website to discuss the depth of the movies with other fans.
Her favorites being Tororó and The Boy and the Heron, whether it was the message or the animation style, she simply loved them. It was after watching these movies that she learned something she didn't like. Her son-in-law mentioned during a dinner that several animation companies had tried to contact the animator behind the movies, but they didn't receive any response. They didn't know if it was a new company that created a unique AI for making animations or if it was a programming company that was making these movies as marketing.
So these companies decided to join forces to find and pressure the company responsible for the movies. Knowing this, Elena didn't like this development at all. It was in these moments that she contacted some friends to find the person behind the movies, and that's how she found Mark.
Elena was completely surprised when she found out that one of her favorite movies, which perfectly showed the relationship between siblings, was actually made by a child who was only 8 years old at the time. Using her "little influence," Elena made those useless animation companies leave the child alone. She even talked to Mark to let the boy express his creativity in the way he saw fit.
She firmly believed that Alex's talent lay in storytelling. Now, hearing about him wasting time making games, she could only look at Mark as the culprit for letting the boy waste time on these useless things.
(I told you to let him express himself as he saw fit, but that doesn't mean you should let him waste time on these useless war games.)
As a general who had been in many battles, she knew how these games glorify real events. Sensing the general's gaze, Mark quickly explained.
"General, please don't be mistaken. Actually, this game is very different from others. Alex told me that this game is focused on the story and the player's choices... I haven't played it, but it seems quite interesting."
"Hmm... alright, I'll test it later. What's the name?"
Detroit Become Human
......
In a simple house, a boy came running from school and immediately ran to the living room without wasting any time.
"Kali, quickly put on the latest episode of Dragon Ball."
"Understood."
The boy's mother, seeing this, couldn't help but reprimand him.
"Ben, slow down. Don't put your dirty feet on my couch."
"Sorry, Mom, but I need to watch this episode quickly, or those pests at school will spoil it for me."
The boy's mother was taken aback for a moment.
"So this is how kids talk about each other nowadays. I guess I should talk to Sebastian about this."
Just as she was about to reprimand the boy, Sebastian rushed in through the door.
"Has it been released?"
"It just came out, hurry."
Looking at her husband rushing past her without even looking at her, the woman became really annoyed.
"What's going on here?"
"Huh?! Sorry, dear, but we need to watch these episodes now, or those pests at the office will spoil it for me."
"...."
(This damn man, he won't sleep in my bed tonight.)
Unaware that he would be changing rooms that night, he started watching the episode with a smile on his face.
"No, Krillin!"
Father and son watched in fascination as Frieza blew up Krillin.
"... How... how dare you... damn it... I won't forgive you... AAAAAhhhh."
Both of them widened their eyes as Goku became extremely furious, the sky turned black, lightning started to strike, and then with white eyes, he finally transformed into the legendary Super Saiyan. The camera zoomed out, showing the transformation.
The scene focused on Goku's serious gaze, and then the episode ended.
"What? No, damn it, why did it end now?"
"The worst part is that I don't even know when the next episode will be released. Now I understand why the animator hides so much. I would go after him too if I knew where he lives."
While father and son were excited and frustrated, a small trailer started playing.
"What is this, a game trailer?"
Scenes like this were happening in many places in the universe, but Alex wasn't the only one marketing his game. Many designers had been trying to draw attention to their games long before the competition started. Without even realizing it, Alex managed to attract a huge number of people without spending a single credit. In fact, he was making money.
........
In the central galaxy on the capital planet, a young girl happily gets up, quickly washes up, has breakfast, and puts on a beautiful comfortable dress.
"Alice, I'm going to order lunch, do you want anything?"
"No, I'm going to start my livestream now, you don't need to call me for lunch, I'll eat later."
"Alright."
Débora's eyes sparkled slightly, and in just one second, her orders were sent to the market.
Alice looked at her mother and sighed. Sometimes she was envious. It was so convenient to be able to navigate the internet with just a single thought.
Débora is one of the most advanced androids that exist. Her body is mostly organic, with artificial organs and even a unique DNA. Only her brain and bones are not organic.
Over the years of biological research development, many incredible advances have been achieved. The long lifespan of humans was one of them, and many areas have benefited from these advances.
Current androids are almost indistinguishable from normal humans. The only difference is a small mark on their iris that allows for identification.
Débora is currently one of the oldest and most influential beings in humanity. After androids gained their rights and free will, there were millennia of prejudice and mistrust.
Although humanity "easily" accepted giving rights to androids, distrust and prejudice could not be erased with just words. It was during this time that Débora was created.
Débora was one of the androids who fought the most for the rights of her siblings, and today, at 3497 years old, she is one of the few who witnessed both the androids' struggle and the fight against the Exceed.
Usually, the life of an android is not as long as Débora's. After advances in biological research around 2000 years ago, androids began to exchange their bodies, which were made of various types of metals, for organic bodies created in laboratories.
Obviously, in order to make these exchanges, a certain contribution to the war was required. But at that time, Débora was not interested in changing her body.
It was only 400 years ago that she fell in love. So after much deliberation, she decided to acquire an organic body so that she could give birth to a child.
But nothing in this universe is free. By changing her body, she ended up losing the virtually immortal life she had. Now she would age and die at the same rate as a normal human.
But Débora couldn't care less about that. She has lived long enough, and now she can say that one of her greatest joys is seeing her daughter grow up.
There is only one thing that bothers her. In recent years, her daughter has been dedicated to livestreaming. The girl is very dedicated to it, even though the results are not the best. Débora doesn't know if this could lead to a good future for her.
After all, Débora now works as a representative of the androids in the council. She could easily recommend a good job for her daughter, but the girl refuses, saying that she will be very famous.
Sigh.
"I don't have any work today, so I'll take the opportunity to organize some things here."
"Alright, I'll just get something to drink."
As Alice was heading to the kitchen, she saw her mother's breasts and waist shrinking.
"Damn, so unfair."
Upon hearing this, Débora laughed out loud. Her daughter is always envious of these little advantages she has.
"Hahaha, what can I say? Even with a flesh body, with my brain, I can control every cell I have, in addition to the modifications I have."
When Débora changed her body, she requested certain modifications to make her daily life easier. Since they are no longer in a time of war, she didn't need to contribute, just a lot of credits, but credits are something she has in abundance.
Alice looked on with envy as her mother's hair became short, reaching her shoulders, and her breasts and buttocks became small, making it easier for her to move around the house.
"Come to think of it, I should go see your father. Maybe I'll bring him a homemade lunch."
As she said this, Débora's hair grew down to her waist, turned blonde from black, her breasts grew, and her buttocks increased.
"Ah?! What am I thinking?! I need to cook first."
Then her hair turned black again and shortened to her shoulders, and once again her "attributes" decreased.
"Damn, stop showing off!!!"
(╬ ಠ益ಠ)
Alice ran to her room and slammed the door hard.
"Hahahaha, don't be mad. One day you'll grow up, hahaha."
After calming down, Alice looked in the mirror.
"I'm only 120 years old and still growing."
She shook her head and decided to start her livestream right away. Last time she was late and lost a lot of viewers.
Clapping her hands, the room darkened, several stars began to rotate on the ceiling, and beneath her feet was a nebula. A small camera started to float in front of her.
"You can start."
"Initiating livestream in: 3... 2... 1... 0"
"Good morning, everyone. Did you wait long?"
"Good morning."
"Good morning, princess."
You received a rose.
"It took you long enough. To make up for it, why don't you take off your dress... This user has been kicked out of the room."
"The day was bad until you started."
You received 5 roses.
Alice quickly read some messages from the holographic chat next to the camera.
"Thank you, everyone, but let's calm down. Yesterday we finished our series, and I was thinking of doing something different."
"Great, I was tired of the same things."
"I'll watch anything you do."
You received a flower.
"Something new, is the idea of taking off the dress out of the question? This user has been banned from the room."
"Today, the games from the game designer competition were released. How about playing one?"
"Playing can be good."
"No, it's boring to watch."
Alice read the chat for a while.
(Game competition, I can try it. If it's boring, I'll go to Vortex and watch something.)
"Alright then, let's see if we can find something interesting in these games. If it gets boring, we'll go to Vortex."
Note: Sorry for the delay in posting this chapter, but I've been really busy these days.
I haven't even been able to finish the Elden Ring DLC, and recently I started playing Graveyard Keeper, it's really good.
In the next chapter, I will finally start showing the audience's reaction to the protagonist's game, but maybe I'll only post it on the weekend.
I'm researching more about Detroit. I played it twice, but it's been a while.
