Crazy Britain:They’re All Raising Me

Chapter 172: Split Personalities—Gui and Will

[Based on the player's past performance, new Tags have been detected. Please confirm.]

[Gladiator (N): You once fought as a gladiator, battling for your life in the arena each day—every match deciding victory, defeat, life, or death.]

[Your base Endurance increases by one rank; your base Luck decreases by one rank.]

    [(Acquisition condition: Become a gladiator.)]

[Lone Champion (R): You once served as a general but, for various reasons, lost nearly your entire army in battle, forcing you to fight alone.]

[Your Leadership ability decreases; your Endurance increases by one rank.]

[(Acquisition condition: Lose over 99% of your forces in a single battle yet still emerge victorious.)]

[Blood‐Hand Butcher (SR): You are known as "the Butcher," not by trade but by those who feared you. You slaughtered tens of thousands, your hands stained with blood, your path lined with corpses.]

[You learn how to kill with ruthless efficiency; your knowledge of anatomy improves. Your Luck decreases by one rank; your Strength and Agility each increase by one rank.]

[(Acquisition condition: Kill over 10,000 enemies in one simulation.)]

[Fated Prodigy (SR): You are born an all‐round genius, excelling effortlessly across many fields. Such talent draws even Heaven's envy, and you are doomed to an early death.]

[Your Endurance decreases by one rank; your Skill Learning speed increases; your attributes improve more easily; you more readily spot clues and solve problems beyond others' reach.]

[(Acquisition condition: In one simulation, achieve top success in three or more disciplines, then die before age thirty.)]

[Crown of Blood (SSR): In a past life you were a tyrant whose crown was bathed in blood. Most of your subjects despised and feared you, yet dared not rebel—your will alone held power over life and death. You are a demon‐lord descended from Hell.]

[Your Luck decreases by two ranks; all your attributes increase by one rank. You gain "Anti‐Non‐Sovereign Bonus (Small)." When wielding firearms, you receive a blessing—your shots more readily strike vital points and can harm supernatural beings.]

[You fear nothing, for you are the very embodiment of terror. Your Mental Resilience soars—but as a cost, upon character creation you will randomly acquire one Mental Flaw Tag.]

[(Acquisition condition: Exclusive Tag to the Legendary Heroic Spirit "Blood Demon King · Guinevere.")]

    "...Holy shit."

Even Guinevere had to catch his breath after reading all these Tags.

Unlike the Savior Swordsman's Tags—focused on leadership and well‐rounded growth—these Tags for the Blood Demon King were downright bloodthirsty. Each one traded a personal cost for overwhelming combat might, like an "HP‐burn to boost ATK" ultimate skill. Staring at so many combat‐enhancing bonuses, Guinevere felt dizzy.

He roughly calculated: equipping all five new Tags would grant him a +2‐rank boost to every attribute!

Thus—even starting as an E‐rank nobody in the simulation—he'd jump to C‐rank across the board. Among Heroic Spirits, only the absolute top tier would outclass him.

And note: Fated Prodigy lowers Endurance by one, but grants rapid skill gains and easier attribute increases. Without it, his Endurance could rise even higher!

"No, no—considering versatility, I should keep Fated Prodigy... Not every Singularity is pure combat, and this is near‐modern era. Raw power alone may not suffice... Better to stay well‐rounded."

Muttering to himself, Guinevere decided to include Fated Prodigy.

Normally, his strategy in Fate simulations was to discard most N‐ and R‐rank Tags—taking only three to avoid diluting the prize pool. But faced with these bloodlust bonuses, he found himself tempted to equip all five for a gloriously overpowered run.

Yet the cost—a net –4 ranks of Luck, truly locking him into Luck E—

Though Guinevere usually paid little mind to Luck, matching Cú Chulainn's Luck value made him nervous. He imagined choking to death on in‐simulation rations, only for the narrator to sneer, "Guinevere died of choking—how apt."

After weighing it all, he reviewed his existing Tags:

    [Owned Tags:]

    [Resolute (N)]

    [Beloved by All (R)]

    [Great Fortune (SR)]

    [Blacksmith (N)]

    [Valor of the Vanguard (R)]

    [Statesman‐in‐Waiting (SR) — Locked]

    [Born Sovereign (SR) — Locked]

[Favor of the Holy Sword (SSR) — Locked]

[Because the Persona "Otherworldly Savior Swordsman · Guinevere" already exists, the Tags "Statesman‐in‐Waiting," "Born Sovereign," and "Favor of the Holy Sword" are bound and cannot be selected.]

Damn, he'd forgotten about that lock.

Slapping his forehead, Guinevere cursed the system's design that locks certain Tags once you survive as that Heroic Spirit—forcing rerolls to get a fresh pool.

No matter—he mainly wanted to swap out a Luck‐reducing Tag.

Scanning "Blacksmith" and "Valor of the Vanguard," he quickly chose Blacksmith (N).

"Valor" sounded nice, but its trigger required dire disadvantage and only granted +1 to all stats—by the time it activated, he might already be dead.

Better to pick Blacksmith, which immediately adds +1 Strength plus forging proficiency—a straightforward, brutal boost.

    He confirmed his selection:

[You have selected Tags: Blacksmith (N), Lone Champion (R), Blood‐Hand Butcher (SR), Fated Prodigy (SR), Crown of Blood (SSR).]

    [Current Attributes:]

    [Strength: B (Blacksmith +1, Butcher +1, Crown +1)]

    [Agility: C (Butcher +1, Crown +1)]

    [Endurance: D (Champion +1, Prodigy –1, Crown +1)]

    [Mana: D (Crown +1)]

    [Luck: D (Butcher –1, Crown –2)]

[Extra Skills & Bonuses: Forging Proficiency +, Leadership –, Anatomy Expertise +, Firearms Mastery +, Learning Efficiency +, Anti‐Non‐Sovereign Bonus (Small), Firearms do extra damage to supernatural beings.]

    [Import these Tags and proceed?]

Glancing over his post‐Tag stats, Guinevere felt he'd discovered the real power of the Tag system. Fate simulations gave him potent Noble Phantasms and skills but rarely buffed raw stats—that took time. Tags, however, could shortcut that grind. With five slots, he could replay Fate sims, amass enough stat-boosting Tags, and close the gap on Heroic Spirits…

If only he could import Noble Phantasm levels directly… but no. This Singularity's final boss is the infamous "Piddler King"—a twist he likely can't win.

Just then, a system prompt appeared—he'd lingered too long choosing:

    [Use Player ID "Guinevere"?]

He paused, then declined. If he kept "Guinevere," the Piddler King—having met the Savior Swordsman—would surely spot him. He selected "Random."

[Character creation confirmed. Loading into scenario…]

[Crown of Blood detected—generating a random Mental Flaw Tag…]

    "Ah?"

Reading that line, Guinevere froze, then rechecked Crown of Blood—"You will randomly gain one Mental Flaw Tag." He'd missed that nuance in his excitement.

Generated Mental Flaw Tag: Dual Persona

You sense another personality within you—sharing your body but with a wholly different character and mode of action. Your Tags will be split between the two personas.

Your Good and Evil wills will alternately control the character; once the simulation ends, they recombine.

    Holy hell!

    Guinevere's jaw dropped. Disaster loomed—really.

    Then the system continued:

    [Linked Combination Detected.]

[Given the era and your Tags "Lone Champion," "Blood‐Hand Butcher," and "Crown of Blood," the most fitting character is being generated.]

[Your Simulation ID is now "Henry Jekyll."]

[As the existing character "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde," you will be born into that household.]

[The bond on the Throne of Heroes to the Jekyll & Hyde Heroic Spirit severs permanently; all future summons of "Dr. Jekyll" in this universe now target you.]

At that instant, Guinevere's vision fractured—two overlapping realities clashed. Then one half faded, leaving only the other, as new system messages scrolled:

    […Linked Combination Detected…]

[…Tags "Lone Champion," "Blood‐Hand Butcher," "Crown of Blood" auto‑generate…]

    […Simulation ID "Edward Hyde."]

[…Exclusive Tag "Crown of Blood" confirmed…]

    […Summon condition met…]

[…Heroic Spirit "Blood Demon King · Will" successfully summoned…]

That second perspective vanished. Then the main system UI flashed a warning:

    [Warning: Mythic Artifact signature detected…]

[External interference detected—worldline altered. This Singularity has been rewritten; Human Order Foundation value changed.]

    [Re‑scanning worldline…]

    [Re‑confirming Singularity name…]

[Confirmed scenario: Singularity—Misty Dream Metropolis of Lond¥%#!]

For a heartbeat, "London" became gibberish—then two new characters emerged:

    [—Eghthu.]

    [Human Order Foundation: A++]

    [Simulation begins.]

    …
