Chapter 9 - Snowy Mountain
After teleporting to the snowy mountain, Kaizoku looked back, shocked to see Taki riding a massive waves of water moving toward him.
"It's time!" Kaizoku fumbled through the small pouches on his back and side, realizing all his bullets were spent except for the ones that could teleport him.
"Oh... this is bad."
Kaizoku ran toward the trees, hoping to hide from Taki and praying that Sylphy and Eve would return with help to defeat her.
Hiding behind one of the trees, Kaizoku tried to calm himself. "Alright, Kai... Don't panic... Huff..."
Moments later, Taki arrived, and her waves vanished into the ground.
"Lost boy... Don't make me angry." Taki spotted Kaizoku's footprints leading toward the trees.
"I see your tracks, kid, don't let me find you."
Hearing Taki's words, Kaizoku's heartbeat quickened. He racked his brain, searching for a way to buy time until help arrived.
"Come on, Kai... Think..." he checked his revolver's cylinder.
"Alright, Destion, we've got four bullets left. I can teleport four more times... I have to use them wisely."
Suddenly, Taki attacked from the side with her chainsaw, but Kaizoku ducked just in time, causing her to slice through the tree in one blow.
"Aaahhh! Not now!" Kaizoku quickly fired a teleport bullet toward a distant tree.
"You can't run from me, kid..." Taki pulled the chainsaw's lever twice more, now channeling water as its primary force.
She dragged the chainsaw across the ground, creating a large waves rushing toward Kaizoku at high speed.
Looking back, Kaizoku was startled by the fast-approaching waves. "Oh no..."
He sprinted as fast as he could, saving his bullets for a more critical moment.
Taki pulled the chainsaw lever three times, enveloping it in powerful, fast-moving winds. "You can't escape me, kid."
She spun around, generating a strong, rapid horizontal wind.
The wind hit the rushing waves, accelerating its speed.
Kaizoku had no choice—he was caught in the torrent and swept along with it at high velocity.
Struggling in the turbulent waters, Kaizoku tried his best to stay calm and hold his breath.
Taki controlled the waves, directing it up the snowy mountain, flying along behind it with the power of the wind. "Don't worry, kid. You'll find a new path after death."
Taki chuckled as she carried Kaizoku up the mountain with the waves.
At the mountain's fiery summit, Taki released Kaizoku from the waves, which disappeared the moment she grabbed him by the collar. "Alright, kid... You've got two choices: die or surrender?"
Taki's wide, unsettling smile made Kaizoku uneasy.
Kaizoku chuckled softly. "Die or surrender? I choose neither."
Suddenly, a katana flew toward Taki's side.
The katana spoke slowly and calmly. "Kill him..."
Its voice sounded like a young man, close in age to Kaizoku.
"Understood, master." Taki replied calmly.
She then hurled Kaizoku into the molten lava of the mountain. But just before he could fall in, a bright light enveloped him. When the light faded, Kaizoku had vanished from Taki's and the katana's sight.
